To make it worse, bots will benefit the most from paragon levels since they kill faster than any human (over the long term) and they will benefit more from additional MF/GF.
Bots get banned alot. Of course they can always find new accounts, but this isn't going to help them a ton.
Seems to me he's been botting for a very long time and so have all of the characters near him in the rankings. Of course bots will benefit, they don't get banned that often or quickly enough to stop it.
Do I care? Meh. I don't like bots for obvious reasons, but I also don't like fun design changes being axed because of a potential for botting. Get rid of the bots, give us a fun game (not saying Paragon Levels is a fun system yet, we'll have to wait and see).
I don't get your point? How do you know that this is a bot? Seeing how rare valuable items are going full GF gear is actually a legit tactic as it gives you a reliable income.
...That's a joke, right? A toon in all GF + radius gear who hasn't completed act I inferno with 500k elite kills? Take a moment to appreciate how large that number is. You think that isn't an obvious bot? For reference, Kripparion has something like 20k elite kills (or did not too long ago). Seriously...

When I've been averaging nearly 2 hours /played per day since the game released.. and that guy has more than 50x my lifetime kills and more than 100x my lifetime elite kills.. I think there's more to it than him just being well-geared and playing aggressively.
An "alternate advancement" scheme like these Paragon levels appear to be needs to be accompanied by a swift and brutal application of the Immortal King's Banhammer.
Edit: just noticed... 100x my lifetime elite kills, and he still hasn't completed Act 2 Inferno. His DH, which has three quarters of the kills, hasn't even completed Act 1 Inferno. Yeah, that's not suspicious at all.
Wait, because you play way too much, its impossible that someone else could play even more?
Maybe its time to get some sun, and worry less?
Also, beating Inferno isn't that fun. I beat Diablo, got 4 blues, then went back to farming act 1.
Again, take a moment to analyze the situation before responding. *500k elite kills*. Did you get that number? 500,000. Oh, and never beat act I inferno on the DH who got most of them. So what, your rationale is that this guy plays something like ~16 hours /day farming gold in hell difficulty? You really think that's a reasonable conclusion?
It is obviously a bot. If that's not obvious then I don't know what is.
Reading those strings it appears you get a bonus for having alts, do they need to be maxed? Different classes? It would be nice to know these things if the patch is tuesday so I can go ahead and finish lvling everything (its all around 50ish).
Yes, so much that! I pretty much left D3 for dead a month after launch, because I had no goals post-60. Sure you can gear up, but that was it! D2 kept me hooked for a long, long time because it was a mindblowingly grind to hit 99 (Post patch 1.10 at least). Hopefully all the new sexy legendaries and this Paragon/Prestige thing will spark my engine again!
I LOVED Diablo 2 like most people here. One of the main criticisms given by the posts I see involves lack of progression. But I cannot for the life of me understand how some thought getting to level 99 counted as progression. For most classes, after level 85ish the stat and skill choices were illrelevant. If the mindlessness of 10^1208234907234 baal runs with character that cannot really get any better is progression, then maybe those people should advance to the "ball-in-cup game." Sure, most people have gotten the ball in the cup... but has anyone ever done it a billion times!?!
*Snip*

Sorry, but while I am not above giving someone the benefit of the doubt, I think these numbers are simply ridiculous.
96 days or more accurately 2324 hours from release date until today (give or take an hour or so)
Removing JUST 3 hours a day to sleep / misc takes away 288 hours 2036 (virtually impossible for NORMAL humans to maintain for 3 months straight) This DOES NOT account for any downtime, patches, Hotfixes, or other unscheduled maintenance reasons.
The numbers shown below show the amount per hour with 0 hours removed since launch/ subtracting 3 per hour as shown above. 417851 Elite kills - 179.8 per hour / 205 per hour
5754066 Total kills - 2476 per hour / 2854 per hour
Every day for 21 hours a day. More time off makes the numbers go up much more.
Yeah, maintaining that for 3 months straight without stopping is easy as pie.
For the record, I am not comparing this to myself or anyone else, merely stating that these numbers are virtually unattainable for 99 percent of HUMAN players.

Well of course account sharing is banable. It's that you can't prove account sharing if the account is being shared in the same apartment for example. Or the same building.
Nah. If you look at all the evidence we've provided on the front page and across the General forums you'll notice it's a separate leveling system that goes beyond level 60.
I'm eagerly awaiting the paragon system. It sounds like an absolutely great way to reward players and take some of the gear-burden off progressing after 60.
