I remember D2 having a collectors edition. I was just wondering do you think they'll do this with Diablo III and if so what little goodies will they add.
I think they will and i think they'll add some nice artwork poster or something, maybe the soundtrack, and an extended booklet with some mroe story and some extra artwork and such.

As long as they don't cut content for the game for this collectors edition. I just want the full game for what I pay.
Well thats boring. Why not have fun and get the little extras?

Because your little extras can cost us a lot. The game is already priced very high, obviously because we are -supporting- them. I don't know whats with everyone throwing their money away for things like that. Its fun to that, sure, but it never was worth it.
I always lived spending my money very carefully I guess, I would not hesitate to buy D3 no matter what, but I just can't handle wasting more money on what is just a game.
Its your money, though. If you like it, take it. I don't know if they will have a collectors edition for D3, but its likely.

You do realize your point of view is not the only one right?
So you can justify spending money on a video game that will not do anything of any true necessity to you but you can't justify spending a little extra for some added features?
If your going to say that what is extra is worthless then you need to also not buy the game at all. You can't say its ok to buy the game but not ok to spend the extra money on the collectors edition. You may consider it wasting your money but I consider it purchasing a little extra that is worth it.
It's all for entertainment. I want Diablo 3 and Diablo related products. I do not need them, but I want them. So I will buy them. I'm not going to half enjoy Diablo3. I want the works.

The game itself should nto have cut content like i mentioned maybe some added artwork or a special in game item or some form or soundtrack would be nic but nothing like only those who have the CE can get the uberest charm.

Blizzard does collector editions right. I fully expect D3s CE to come with an art book, music cd, and a few other additions like a cloth map of sanctuary, or mouse pad. A bonus in game item would be cool too. Nothing that affects gameplay unfairly, but something cosmetic... like a subtle aura or something that let's people know I'm a CE owner.
Oh thats a hot one a cloth map of sanctuary... id like a Razer sponsored pad... but it seems they only do messenger bags with razer and their mousepads are with Steelseries =[ they aren't as good as razer.

I've never bought a CE before, but I would definitely get one for D3. The music CD and a map would probably be good enough for me to get it, though I'm sure more will be there.

And yes I can justify spending money on a game if I really like it, not on silly extras that are not going to fill more than an hour of my spare time.
