That's rough! Take solace in knowing that a buddy of mine finally got his first legendary and he rolled an amazing Manticore that sold for 110M. Sometimes it's quality over quantity. I can tell you now I've had probably 15+ legendary/set items drop since patch and I haven't made that much yet from the things I've seen. I run 311 MF currently with no folllower, mostly play in groups.
So chin up! It will happen, and hopefully when it does it will happen in a magnificent manner!
It all depends on how many hours you play per day, and which acts can you farm efficiently. so if you find legendarys tell us which act what mf and how many hours you play
I didn't get a single legendary post 1.04 untill I was Plvl 16 - Then, however,I got 3 on one act 3 run.
Since Plvl 16 (I'm now Plvl27) I've gotten a total of 14 (though I've been in a dry spell the last 2 or 3 Plvls).
Included in those was a decently rolled duel socketed Manticore that sold for 80 mil, a well rolled Bul Kathos mighty weapon that sold for 50 mil and a pretty well rolled Immortal Kings Kings belt that sold for 30 mil.
To answer the above question, I farm act 3 (no bosses, start from Kill Azmodan and clear everything) - I usually play for about 4 hours after work.
PS: and, at Plvl 27 right now, and with full stacks I sit at 335% MF
More than half of those levels were done with 5 stacks in Act 3 as well... God I'm unlucky.
what was your overall mf? im confused about why people post about their paragon levels and expect these drops to suddenly appear as if it supposed to guarentee them legendaries. if your mf only comes from nv and pLvl, then you still have very low mf and your chances are still very slim even with 105% mf.
People post their Paragon Level as a measure of how much they have killed. RNG is RNG though. I am Paragon Level 15 on my wizard, and have found 1 legendary in that time, running with around 125% MF before Valor and Paragon are counted, so between 200% and 245% during that time. My paragon level 4 double tornado barb with 17% magic find from gear has found 4 legendaries since the patch.
I am at paragon level 17 and I have had 3 absolutely amazing legendary drops in less than a week after a long dry stint, so don't despair, it's very random. I got:
1200 DPS Echoing Fury
1300 DPS Skorn: 199% crit dmg, socket, 540 dex, 150 vit
Vile Ward Shoulders: 280 dex, 300 armor, 300 life regen, 80 res all, 70 str and int
Diablogods seem to be telling me to focus on my monk.
I should add that I haven't been running with any MF besides the valor stacks.
I run with about 270mf (i dont gear swap) in act 3, and had 4 drop in the space of an hour yesterday, 2 were garbage (hand xbow and a lvl 60 mace splinter??), 1 was blackthorns chest and one vile ward (my third vile ward so far). The chest had no prime stat but massive vit and sold for $18 and the ward sold for $20.
The ppl who are not getting legendaries are probably running with ~100 mf and struggling.
Also these drops were all in one game.
edit: Previously since 1.04 i have found about $500 only really set items have sold for large amounts.
I have also found that gear swapping has been detrimental, maybe there is some kind of hidden mechanism.
I haven't played D3 for the last month due to being on vacation. When I came back yesterday and play in act 3, I had 2 legendaries, a shoulder and a ring. I guess you could call it random is random. (My friends in group were P lvl 8 and 10 and 15 and myself 0 ).
I keep my MF at about 300 with full NV and I have scored around a dozen legendary items between my first paragon level and my 24th. Nearly to 25 and I wish I could get more but to be honest, I am addicted to the hunt so I am fine with what I am getting ATM.

Level 10 means that you get 30% more mf. It's not much, right? So why do you expect to get legendaries?
I'm not talking about the %mf bonus from paragon affecting the drop rate per-say. I'm talking about how many hours I've put in grinding to level 10, and with that time, even with NO mf, I would hope to have gotten at least 1.
@lvl 10 myself, marginal extra mf (ie progress gear that might have mf as a substat)
had 9 legendaries since 1.04 .. none very good to be fair all ilvl 60/61 (including 2 balefire caster and 2 hellcracks)
even had 3 legendaries in the last game i played (co-op) i got one and my mate got 2 ..

Day 1 on release i found my first legendary in a1 norm. Zero MF. The next time i found a legendary was after having 200-250 hours played later with around 50 MF. After 1.04 with just under 300 MF i found 4 legendaries, 2 of which were set boots in 3 days. Did 4 A3 runs over the days. It is all random.
Did a full clear of Act III last night with only 250 MF and found 2 legendary items. Well, it was not a full clear, I had to call it a night about 30 minutes from Azmo. Still, I would like to think there is something to the idea that there is a greater chance of getting Legendary items when you start at the begining of Act III but I know I am just illustrating wishful thinking. lol

I can debunk the start a full act run yeilds better loot. My previous comment about 4 legendaies in 3 days, 1 was off my first rare champ pack with in minutes of playing. i start with the kill azmo quest and go to fields.
I'm not saying that things arent random. What I am saying is that there should be something along the lines of a timeplayed counter, which, for example, every hour that the player is playing and they dont see a legendary drop, the chance of a legendary drop goes up by like... .5% or something. That way if a person plays for 20 hours, which is a SOLID weekend of gaming, their legendary drop % chance would be up to 10% making it very possible that in a given 20 hours of play time you'd see a legendary.
Obviously numbers could be tweaked up and down to balance it, but a STRAIGHT RNG can be way to demoralizing if you're on the bottom side of it
p.s. I dont mean a BIS bow or anything, I just mean a legendary of upper level. Seeing them, or possibly having the salvage would add a fun layer of loot.
I'm only level 10 so far, farming Act 3 with around 200-220 MF on gear+follower. I only found 1 legendary and 1 set item so far and I found both within 30 minutes of the patch going live, at level 0. Have yet to find one since but the set item was a pair of boots I sold on the RMAH so I can't complain.
More than half of those levels were done with 5 stacks in Act 3 as well... God I'm unlucky.
So lets make yet another repeat thread crying about "poor me i haven't gotten a legendary QQQQQQQQQQQQ"? I wish I was a mod, I would ban people like you outright at this point.

i wish they did that for the mega millions. ok, maybe not a bis lottery, how about pick 4? i could use a few g's.
