I just wanted to share a revelation I discovered this weekend regarding Zombie Wall. It may be something you already know/use because it's not that complicated but it makes a HUGE difference on certain types of mobs.
I've been farming Act 4 for the past few weeks but I've been dying a decent amount of time to mobs that charge across the screen. Corrupted Angels and Oppressors being the main culprits. This past weekend I started being PROACTIVE instead of reactive and it's helped me avoid death much more. The key thing is that Zombie Wall will stop them if they charge through it. If you put a zombie wall between you and the pack of oppressors, they will still attempt to charge you from time to time but they will slam into the wall and save you from a 1 shot. I believe this also works on the corrupted angel charge.
However, I don't believe it works on the potion throwing guys that sometimes decide to leap at you and the guys that hide in stealth until you get near will still 1 shot you (or at least me).
I hope this allows people to avoid a few deaths if you didn't know the trick! It's making act 4 somewhat less frustrating. An offhand with a zombie wall cooldown reduction is looking better and better as I use the skill more

It blocks lacuni in Act 2 from leaping at you as well.
Maybe it does block the leapers (lacuni like guys) in Act 4 as well then. I was pretty sure I saw one leap at me over the wall once but I maybe have been mistaken. Of course, if you trap them in the wall they can't do a thing though
Another cool use of the skill... it will block the butcher when he charges. It's pretty awesome to see the butcher run into a brick (zombie) wall
Yes, it works on the butcher too. You can put a wall between him and you and it stops him every time. Anything that charges will be stopped. Things that "leap" are not affected - act 1 frogs, act 2 lacuna, act 3 tongue things, etc.
It's an awesome spell and puts out crazy dps too. I've been hunting for perfectly rolled items that reduce its cooldown. It's replaced all the pets for me.
And it's a good spell to selectively target the main of "invulnerable minions" as well.

They leap right over my wall. So do the Act 1 frogs. Unless, of course, you plant the wall right on them, which stops all movement, except teleport.
My favorite use for Zombie Wall is on inferno Diablo. In p2 you can use it box him out when he's chasing you. It gives you a lot more time to lay some splinters into him. Once I noticed that it made p2 much much shorter. It doesn't block him in p1+3 but that doesn't really matter since they are a complete joke.
Ruppgu, didn't you say that you'd stopped playing your WD to go Wizard instead?

I grew up gaming without internet forums. The entire phenomenon of being upset with a game developer makes no sense to me. No sense. I cannot imagine spending my time and energy being upset about something I choose to do for recreation.
I don't enjoy having pets being completely worthless (nice design Blizzard), but I don't have the time to level up another character. I have a life and a family.
BTW do you just go around and badger people that say something negative about the game? Believe it or not, some people have concerns about the game and they will voice them.
Lol, no, just you apparently. Sorry, your avatar and posting through-line are particularly memorable for some reason.
I'll leave you alone

If you click zombie wall with your cursor over and enemy it will actually trap that enemy completely and they wont be able to move at all in any direction
Which rune do you guys generally use with wall? I just started using it. It's a joy in Whimsyshire w/ so much melee. I've been using the 60% slow rune, but was wondering if one of the others might be better. How far of a slow aura does it provide? I mean, they already have to go around the wall and can't walk through it (as I originally thought when I first tried it).
Both barricade and unrelenting grip are great. With barricade it takes a bit longer for mobs to go around the wall, which basically does the same thing as grip, although it's better to wall off wider chokes. If you're good at wall placing take grip, if not I'd go with barricade.

Yes this is the same crap as waller affix, when you can get trapped in a single wall:P Only problem I found is that if the mob is fast enough, it can leave the wall spot before it "activates" and you can screw yourself over with it.
Yeah, I place the wall different depending on what type of mob I'm facing. On most white mobs I'm conservative and place it in front of them because I'll be able to kill them quickly and this is less risky.
Against rares and champions I will often try to cast it directly on the closest one to me so that I can get some great dps on him with darts while he's stuck. If it's not plagued I can usually take off half their HP while they're trapped... it's great. I love zombie wall. For glyphs, I always use barricade since I use grasp as well and the monsters are usually slowed by that already.
