Seems like everyone uses the same backbone of skills in Inferno.
Actives: Frenzy-Sidearm: The skill itself seems mandatory to produce the most life per hit gains and to deal maximum damage to single targets, the rune isn't as mandatory but the most efficient one vs groups.
Leap-Iron Impact: If your armor is high, this has about the same impact as Ignore Pain on a much shorter cooldown plus you can jump out of danger. Would be our best skill if there wasn't..
Revenge-Provocation: The only way to melee more than 2 mobs and stay alive. End of story.
Furious Charge-Dreadnought: Amazing "get out of jail card" when things go bad. No need for Relentless or IP if you can just heal yourself to full and get out of danger in one click.
War Cry-Impunity: Reduces the gear requirements by a lot. Very beneficial if not necessary.
X: Our room for customization, yay! This can be a lot of skills and most players choose different abilities. Not something crazy like a fury spender or Call of the Ancients, but you get the point. I like Ground Stomp.
edit: Popular choices are: Ignore Pain-Ignorance is Bliss (-Iron Hide) Wrath of the Berserker-Insanity Threatening Shout-Falter Ground Stomp-any
I don't see any of them replacing one of the top 5, though.
Passives: Nerves of Steel: We need armor. This is better than Tough as Nails because of stacking calculations. Tough as Nails: We still need all the armor we can get. Superstition: No, we can't just avoid damage, we have to mitigate it to fight back.
Follower: Enchantress: Everyone chant "we need armor"
Room for discussion or am I just stating the obvious?
The only skill that most sensible people agree on is Warcry with Impunity.
As for the rest of them, I dont use a single one, and I only use one of the armor passives. Im in A3 using a 2H so I am talking from experiance.
I've seen your stats and spec in the Belial thread. I like it, but I consider you vastly overgeared compared to most people in a2. But I'd suggest to get rid of Berserker Rage. That's like the last passive I'd choose for a WotB-EQ build because it kicks out when you'd want it the most.
Technically I am 1 level from being able to try out inferno and get my face kicked in, but already in 2-3 man groups in hell act 3 we are running into some challenging affix combos.
I REALLY don't like the idea of having to commit to 1 build in inferno to get the best loot. I feel it doesn't promote build diversity at all.
That said I have been using an all purpose build quite abit that I think is pretty well rounded.
I like seismic slam ALOT. It costs alot of fury, but it has good runes and affects a very large area. With Strength From Earth rune it's pretty cost effective imo.
I don't like frenzy much because there are many, many times you have to kite around lasers, leap over walls or whatever where you can lose your stacks. Bash with onslaught lets you hit hard every time without requiring up keep from time on target.
This is by no means my favorite build, but it's allowed me to fight some very difficult affix combos and succeed either the first time or within 2-3 deaths with really tough ones.
Juggernaut is imho the most underrated passive of all. If I'm going to use a one size fits all build, it's going to have this passive. I have actually been kept alive by being cc'd in groups while others are chain feared or jailed while taking mortar fire while I keep getting healed repeatedly because of it. The proc chance is very high. I would guess at least 70% which it pretty much has to be to have any real use.

EQ with the rune that makes it free and use a shout after WotB and you're almost back to full rage again.
I was using that spec and dying quite a bit in Inferno. I changed out furious charge with overpower (revel rune) and I've been taking out most champ packs I've run into. My deaths are down drastically, so I'm sticking with that until my gear trumps the act I'm in.
But yes you are correct, I am vastly better geared than most people in A2/A3, but I think thats the point. I am UNDERGEARED for Act3, this is the basis of why people complain it is to hard, they think they can complete A4 Inferno 3 weeks after release.
Well, some classes can, that's more of a problem than not making it by yourself.
But I think, your item budget should be sufficient to beat the game, maybe trade 20k dps for defensive stats. You are undergeared for this all out offensive approach.
Slightly different from the build in the first thread. I use the maniac rune because it can increase the damage of all skills, so my revenge and furious charge hit a lot harder. Between this increase and the 25% increase whilst I am at maximum fury, my raw DPS is pumped up to 17k, so after the 75% speed increase from fury, I'm doing around to 30k DPS. I've found the faster killing time yields better survivability than a tankier build.
I use battle rage instead of ignore pain, more DPS and with revenge heal, leap with iron impact and furious charge with dreadnought i have enough survivability
I am using the same spec, I haven't done much of act 2 yet but I am cruising through act 1 at least. 1 hand and shield, resist at 400 but I know i gotta get more than that for sure. So going to farm act 1 with some 5 stack nephs and butcher and hope for higher resist gear.
I like having 2 get outta jail skills, especially arcane/jailer/molten/plague/frozen and then charge back in for more health. Popping wotb on packs and bosses really helps on burning them down. But thinking act 2+ ignore pain is going to replace wotb.
I'm using Ignore Pain - IiB instead of Leap, the Merciless Assault rune on Furious Charge instead of Dreadnaught, and Pound of Flesh instead of Nerves of Steel. Still that's pretty close, and I haven't tried the more common spec you posted yet. Mine should give me more AoE goodness but less time with a big armor boost. I compensate with Threatening Shout - Falter in the last slot.

...and if you disagree with me, you're probably <insert random ad hominem attack here>.
Warcry + Revenge + Frenzy are must haves.
Leap + Furious charge has been the core of my build, and I wouldn't switch this combo for any other.
I've been a big fan of threatening shout (grim harvest) as it's essentially another -20% damage taken with 15% additional loot generation.

Let me take this back. I just tried to play a3 again and well, it's still ludicrous. Nothing I can do and now even the AH is running out of gear from 2 acts further into the game for obvious reasons. I'd bet I could start fresh on the US servers and beat the game with another class before I could do so with my Barb

Edit: btw thats the build most of the people use. In the last skill slot many prefer to go with wotb but i just cant give up on ignore pain.
