I have no idea how many rifts I've done but it has to be close to a 1000 or something and I've only ever seen the rift once, which i got on maybe my fifth rift on the second day of RoS.
You can check how many rifts you have completed on your profile in game. I have 174 done and no cow rift.

Why not, even with science we can't explain everything. We know a whole lot, but there's still mysteries we seem to be unable to solve (yet, anyway).

What you are referring to here is what is referred to as the god of the gaps. A poor argument for proof there is a god.

Yet as poor of an argument as this is, even Sir Isaac Newton was known to invoke the god of the gaps.

So even the best of us have fallen pray to this trap. I dont know so it must be god.

So: Prove to me your God exists!

I am not religious by any means and I didnt read all 49 pages of this thread; however, It can just as easily be asked to prove he doesnt exist and that is something you cannot do. Sure you can make arguments for your cause but just the same someone can argue the opposite.

Faith doesnt require proof, which makes it hard to challenge. I think a better question would be give me a proof of concept that your god exists.

Beng presented with this doesnt mean you have to accept it yet should give you a better understanding of why someone would choose to believe in god.

I have come to the realization that being an aethist is on par with being religious there is faith in an ideal on both sides. On the one side you believe unconditionally that there is a God on the other side you believe unconditionally that there is no god.

There is no reason to challenge anyone's faith I personally beilve we should challenge Dogma. As socieciety and science advances we need to challenge dogma with in practiced religions as everything in life evolves. Style and Fashion, Governments and policies, Comedy and Tragedy all of these things have evolved over the years. Dogma should change all the same.

The droprates are fine in D3. In fact its probably more rewarding than D2 was with stuff like Nef Valor.

This one piece trumps your whole 5 stack.

    gg
Not sure what you are gettting at posting a SS of a item with a rune word on it, there is nothing like this currently in D3 so its not really an apples to apples comparison.

Since you said useful and not BIS I say Challenge accepted
    Warmonger
    Windforce
    Manticore
    Empyrean Messenger
    Skorn

I have seen each of the above at 800dps+ I would say that is rather useful

Not sure why you are tracking this. Are you trying to disprove the presented drop rates or proved them?

Your sample size will never be enough unless you get about 1000 people contributing data points.

All your spreadsheet is showing is your personal experience which isn’t indicative of actual drop rates.

Additionally magic find only increases quantity not quality. I got the impression from your spreadsheet that you assumed it increased quality. MF is really extraneous data unless you are trying to decipher how much MF will cause x amount of loot to drop.

    -edited for typos

    MF is quality not quantity.

EricGORe: In Diablo 2, from my understanding, magic find took the base item of a predetermined loot table, and gave you a higher chance of rolling a higher quality version of that item. In Diablo 3, this no longer seems to be the case and with loot tables being so vast now, magic find seems almost too arbitrary, it just doesn’t feel like it’s worth it. Could you explain exactly how magic find affects item drops in Diablo 3, as a lot of people seem to be unsure how the mechanic has changed from Diablo 2?

Jay Wilson: The mechanic is exactly the same as Diablo 2, and as you describe it hear.
And the loot tables are not more vast than D2 because we don't allow items to drop below level 50 in Inferno.

Very nice explanation sir and seems the above poster took his assumptions and tried to make them fact. Nice little punch in the teeth.
I like how you assume that my misunderstanding of magic find means I had some sort of malicious intent and my education on the subject is a "kick in the teeth". It was a mistake and as such I apologize. In light of the clear explanation of how magic find works, to the OP I would like to see a much more accurate total of how much MF you indeed had at the time. Also you may as I stated earlier want to look for people to collaborate on the project for a better picture of drop rates perhaps even at different levels of magic find.

I mean does MF work as a flat % increase or are there tiers in the progression?

    Quote from Repo

The fact that you MUST use the auction house in order to succeed is what's bugging everyone.
The game was supposedly soloable but it clearly is not. I, just as the OP, have not found a single upgrade in the countless Butcher runs. Or anything else of value. Which is just retarded compared to D2, where I did not have any AH, did not trade with other players yet finished the game while enjoying every bit of 'farming'.

I have not used the AH but to sell my gear I cannot sell in trade chat and to purchase crafting materials and I am on ACt 2 inferno cleared up to belieal. I have yet to put him down but I am at a wall gear wise, so just like act 1 I will go back and fam to get the gear I need.

You do not need the AH to progress in this game at all. You need the AH to beat the game instanly. I have no problem farming for gear to clear inferno. I play a barbarian. So im not even one of the face roll glass cannons.

Inferno was supposed to take months to beat, not days or weeks. I assume without much luck on drops I will be looking at easily a month before I'm in act 4.

Comparing progress in D2 to inferno is just silly. Inferno was meant to be hard with lots of death and require farming. If you want to comparer progress in D2 compare up to hell. Im sure you had no problem with the game and fun going through those acts/difficulties.

I think you all have no clue about diablo 3,if you have eyes, you can see its totally fake,he uses all the RAGE spells from barbarian, all together.

You cant have earthquake, call of the ancients and wrath of the berserker at the same time.

Fake and for those that are saying that barbarians are op,take it from an expirienced player, that we can only tank and that after spending huge loads of cash at AH.From ACT 2 and on,its undoable.

Lol its called elective mode, Earthquake runed for no fury cost and at 100 fury you can pop ancients and wrath. I guess you might want to research elective mode.
