I don't agree with all your ideas, but I appreciate the thought and effort you put into making a logical and reasonable post. +1 simply for giving us another example as to how feedback SHOULD be presented.
Hey guys, went to bed not thinking my post would get much discussion but looks like it did.
I'll for sure work on a post for the official forums and send a link to it when it's done, it's just going to take some formatting and cleaning up before I can post it, no pictures on the official forums really sucks. Pictures would at least help break up the wall of text / get my ideas across.
I know many of the ideas have been mentioned before from the community I just wanted to dive in a little more in depth and hash out some ideas graphically.
Thanks again
You're now a celebrity. Generally good ideas, paired with great formatting and screenshots is something people just love
Thats just bullshit. So all Gold just explodes into nothing? The AH cannot be removed, never ever! The only way to do so would be a AH-Free Mode where you have to start over again, like in Hardcore.
Gold would of course have it's other uses such as repairs and crafting. The later would be the largest gold sink in terms of crafting weapons, armor, and the new enchants and potions. Make these costs substantial enough that players have to save up gold to do them and have an incentive to want to use their gold for crafting.
Reducing gold drops in general and relocating where players find the largest amounts of gold (chests/elites/bosses/salvaged legendary items) will let people earn gold by playing the game rather then just flipping on the AH. Flipping will still be present, but the term would refer to flipping items for items (2 for 1 deals, etc) instead of flipping for gold.
Blizzard would still make money from players buying/selling gold just as they do now. If someone wants to buy gold to skip the time required to earn gold by playing the game they can, but they'll still need in game items in combination with the gold. They can't just buy gold/items like they do now and be completely geared, they'll still have to put in some time.
Blizzard could also make gold the main currency for buying potions/elixers from the Mystic, I'm guessing people willing to buy gold would be happy to spend money on items that increase their MF and such.
As to how the transition would take place, that's up to Blizzard.
I'm not a fan of all of the ideas. I do want the third crafter in, wouldn't mind more legendary beams from allies, and think making really good chests in side dungeons should happen. But I'm not for your overhaul of the entire economy. I don't have much money under the current system, but I don't think I've ever found an item that anyone would be willing to trade any of the items I currently own for. I also don't think reducing the amount of gold dropping will help me out in the long run, since I don't have a huge pile of gold saved up.
I want to get one of my ideas in if you don't mind.
As many people have pointed out about the dungeon high mp would cause them to ignore it.
So how about increased density???Each subsequent lvl adds more density.
And there should be a quest specific to these dungeons.Just like the "Clear All Monsters" in the den of evil in diablo 2 or the Fetid pools quest in path of exile.Doing so would enable the entrance to the next level with more monster density.Once you clear the last level you will get a hellforge fragment.
Five hellforge fragments combine to form a Hellforge hammer.
Now what does the hammer do??? It reforges low lvl legendaries to ilvl 63 legendaries.
Would be nice to be able to use low lvl legendaries.
Although the whole reforge idea might be stupid,i do think that the increased density and some reward for clearing all monsters(Not necessarily the reforge thing) is better than higher mp IMO.
Edit:- Also if the whole point is to promote exploration, then increased monster density and going around every corner to look for a large group would promote exploration.
Also another idea for fun:-
A dungeon with increased density.It has 6 exits.5 are fake,1 is true.
A fake exit leads to another area just like the fake tal rasha's tombs in diablo 2.
The true exit leads to the next level.Every level has fake exits except the last one which is only a small area with few elite packs which are very strong.
Now the twist is there would be a timer with certain time limits.Something like:-
Gold-3 min
Silver-5 min
Bronze-7 min
Note that these are just examples.
If you can kill the last boss within the time limit you and all allies would get a reward. What reward??Maybe something like:-
Gold-Gain XP equal to 75% of the XP bar of the paragon lvl you are currently in.
Silver-Gain XP equal to 50% of the XP bar of the paragon lvl you are currently in.
Bronze-Gain XP equal to 30% of the XP bar of the paragon lvl you are currently in.
Below Bronze- Get 1 gold.:P
This would be fun to play with friends

I'm expecting to get flamed pretty hard due to the amount of text in the post, I've directed everyone here so they can experience the post with more formatting/with pictures.

Well you're not the first so don't worry.
During the time when everyone was talking about patch 1.0.4 dev journal a guy had written out his dream patch 1.0.5 in the exact same format as yours.
He had presented it as a leak and at the end he had wished that it would really happen. No such luck.
Edit:- And by the way that patch was freakin awesome and was not a heavy idea like the talisman. It were just a few balance changes, but boy they were the best.
And the format was exactly like a blizz patch until the last statement which was something like this,"I hope these things happen."
But as usual blizz ignored.(We're Listening )

Great thread with great ideas. Only thing i'd suggest is leaving the RMAH and AH up, for people who still prefer that "option" Although I do despise both of them greatly.

How come I reposted that on the official forums but now my thread is gone and only MrMonstrosity post is on there.. maybe MrMonstrosity is an undercover Blizzard employee and deleted my thread and posted his.. if it gets positive feedback Blizzard will implement these changes.. ohh, conspiracy..
Blizzard reps do visit DiabloFans in order to keep an eye on additional feedback outside the official forum, so I will not be surprised if they saw this post long before it was reposted. Doing so on the official forum simply allows the ideas to reach further, which is all the better.
They don't allow any posts discussing forum moderation, and get quite uppity whenever somebody makes a post asking for clarification on why a certain moderation action was taken.
Is there any way you can send a message asking why your post was deleted? I'd really like to know.
EDIT: I realize the official forums get spammed with a very large amount of total garbage, much of it against the rules. But in practically every other forum I know of, if a post or thread is deemed to be against the rules, a moderator will come in, post an explanation of what rule was broken and/or why the discussion is not allowed to continue, and then locks the thread. That way people can actually learn why threads get locked and what, exactly constitutes a breach of forum rules. Only threads with very objectionable and/or illegal content actually get deleted.
But on the Blizzard official forums? Threads just magically disappear, with no warning or explanation. And god forbid somebody makes a post asking why a certain thread was deleted. And people wonder why those forums are so full of internet trolls - most reasonable people have long since decided the harsh moderation and complete lack of transparency just aren't worth their time.
I don't know how long that will last before being deleted, but it's a thread full of people asking where that fan-made preview went and stating it was full of good ideas.
EDIT3:
Deleted already. What a freaking joke those forums are.
Yep, the post just got deleted. I don't think broke any of the forum rules either...
WTF Why....
Simple, it was done as if Blizzard itself was doing it. In our eyes, we know better, but to Blizzard's eye's it seen more of a joke (at first) than anything else. Also, the removal of the AH(s) was probably enough to warrant deleting, again because it was modeled in Blizz speak and they didn't want one person thinking that.
If you want to drive the point home, remove the Blizz speak, re post with a clarification at the BEGINNING and has been stated before, don't raise a pitch fork declaring why it was deleted, you know now, don't give up!
