i asume it might be a setup map, in other words, not a real D3 map , but a map used to give the demo?
yeah, and I think that they'll put in an alternate route in the real game, so the non-jumping chars can take that route (obviously filled with more demons :D)

I will take the long way around for the additional demons then.
Yeah after watching the demo I was like hmmm.. Thats cool but how is any class besides a barbarian supposed to cross that. however it could be that there are times when all characters can jump I suppose. Or like someone else said go around. Still interesting though.
Having all characters jump is more natural than teleport. Teleport is a spell after all but we all can jump without mana even in real life, can't we? Unless of course one wants to take this way that one needs to be as powerful as a Barbarian to jump with all those heavy gears attached to him. (or her if you like)
I'm only talking in terms of leap like a barbarian, I doubt wearing even chainmail one would be able to jump very high anyway unless we were aiming for a platform lower then the one we were currently on.
I wouldn't mind play having the ability, but Its more then likely blizzard won't give it us a jump.

do you guys think there will be teleport like in D2, in my opinion it was so annoying when paladins and necros and druids were just comming out of nowhere and....your dead. thats crappy PvP. In the good old days (00 - 04) a zon would stand and shoot arrows, and pally would thrust bolts from the heavens, and a barb would run like lightining to hit that whirlwind. only a gay sorc would be teleing half way across the map. if every char in D3 can tele. ill be dissapointed.

There's a difference between "jumping", and leaping 10 feet across a long fall with armor covering your body.
I hope this means however that dungeon design will be more intricate and usable though, it would be great if you could use skills for shortcuts and the likes.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
I was wondering this too. There are a few optinons. 1st, They may give every character a skill to start with such as leap for barbarian or teleport for sorceress/mage. 2nd that dungeon was obviously setup to demo the ame considering the chest was fixed to drop an entire item set like that, so the breakin bridge will not be in the actual game. Or 3rd. they may be an alternative route like droping below the broken bridge or a ladder/stairs.
