As far as I thought, the first part of the Gameplay trailer was in the dungeon "Tristram Cathedral"... I was under that influence at least.

Eh, did you see my post in the previous page? They actually did change it because of feedback from the fans. You can clearly see that from Karune's comment. Blizzard does listen to the fans.

a blizzard employee said that? i didnt hear anything like that. and i still seriously doubt they change d3 for the fans. polish of course, and after polish it will look alot like what we want but it doesnt mean they are doing it becuase we bitched.

They didn't really change the overall design, at least not imho. They made very subtle changes that ended up making a pretty big difference. One of the things is that they made the textures more sharper and defined, and then added texture. Making things look gritty and shit.

Now I am not sure whether that was the direction from the beginning and everyone thought that the earlier screenshots were final, or if the community did have an impact. I never saw a source were Blizzard said "Ok guys... we will change it for you." Basically they made the changes as development continued and makes me wonder if the starcraft fans had their ego stroked by thinking they had an impact.

i think it was the direction in the begginning, i said the same thing about diablo 3, just wait till it is released and see how many poeple are discussion wehter or not D3 looks bad ass and threy changed alot becuase the fans asked them to, or becuase it was in the origianl plan, im gonna put money blizzard had it already planned.

"such a shame that we won't be seeing this title on the shelves for another year or two at the earliest"

    fuck that...

i havent seen anything or heard anything that would point to the games relaese in TWO years?

ok maybe im noob, but what i have read shows that blizzard games tend to release 12 - 15 months after announcement, some earlier.

but hasnt blizzard said the game is in the satge of simply adding content, to me that sounds like "we are almost done" how long could polishing take? a year?????!!!! at the most.

plz someone help me understand why its going to take so long, it pisses me off everytime i hear someone say 2010 or even 2011, please just gtfo

there was nothing wrong the the old FFA drop system.... ive beaten out item grabbers(pickit) on baal bots all the time. to me it seems like diablo is an everyman for themselves type of game and i have a feeling that, with all these changes d3 is going to suck.

then dont buy/play it and gtfo

posted a message on Frustrated at Diablo 3 Skills
my question is: what is the level system? 99 tops?
some may ask, whats that go do with this thread: it can heavily influence how many skills you can max just like in D2, although some skills maybe 5 max and some 10 max, blizzard will undoubtly make some sort of system to balance that, wiether it be level 80 max or what have you.

I can't believe that this is not more obvious to some people. So many of you are taking things for face value, which is fine, as long as you remember that what we were shown was an early working demo. There have probably been numerous additions and changes to the game already. How do I know this you ask? I work in the video game industry.

then why do they keep saying the game is very far along, and all they are adding now is content? sounds almost done to me. Polish for 8 - 10 months... Done

posted a message on Armor representation for classes
in the gameplay it says that all armor in diablo 3 will be class specific. i think that means just how in D2 you could have assualt helms for barbs, or sphere globes for sorcs, i think ALL the armor in D3 will be like this, no 2 heros will look the same.

posted a message on Blizzard Comments On The Classes In Diablo 3
i personally think they are limiting the number of classes so they can release an expansion with 2 or even three this time, new classes

ive said it before and ill say it again the way you guys talk about the other three unrevealed classes is just plain boreing. bringing back the amazon and sorc, thats boreing. i think blizzard has 2 more completly different classes they will release and one more class from d2. the paladin or some kind of holy knight. amazon = gone, sorc = gone. of course there will be a heavy fragile castor but it willl not be anything like the sorc. blizzard has already said only 2 classes will be carried from D2

im starting to think that half of you should just stick with D2 forever. bitching about wanting all the classes to return. THATS BOREING. i want new completly different chars to play

    Quote from "SmashBoy" »
That's the thing, they very well may make a return. And I'd love to see what the male version of such a class would be, but I hope they focus more on scouting/hunting/bowmanship than they do on javelins. I absolutely abhor that weapon. Surely, they can invest those skilltree slots on something more creative?

i dont remember quite were i read it, maybe i saw it in an interview, im sure only two previous classes will return, and seeing as how the barbarian is for sure, and this entire franchise revolves around heavan vs hell, my money is on the paladin, or some for of holy warrior, amazon is just to boreing. bow and arrow... great... point and shoot, BOREING. javs... great.. point and throw....BOREING. fuck that i want to see bolts from the heavens and locust swarms.... YA locust swarms, thats bad fucking ass right there. oh... thats not a paladin. but still wicked awesome.

posted a message on Females in Diablo 3
    Quote from "SmashBoy" »
Finally, we're able to choose our class AND gender. I would loved to have been a female barbarian or a male sorcerer. Best still, a female necromancer... but now, in Diablo III, we have the opportunity to make this choice. I hope that they do these portrayals well, because what little I've seen from the gameplay trailer did not impress me. I like having epic characters, both in power and in appearance, that's just me. The barbarian looks tough, strong, muscular... the witch doctor is creepy and makes my bones squirm within my skin. I don't want to see a female barbarian that looks like a male barbarian with a couple of cups taped over their chest! But, at the same time, even if the female witch doctors have fantastic proportions, they should still creep you the f*** out (hello, Andariel? hot but very scary).

I want to know what others think about that, mature opinions warmly welcome.

haha hot andariel? ok, i said the same thing when i saw the concept art LOL.... we are all just SICK

what i think is really funny is the fact that no blizzard game has ever released looking the same as a demo or the beta. NO GAME. every one of them isnt final until the final product is out. infact most of the time the betas look entirly different. and ya that funny thing is... when D3 IS released and it looks fucking AMAZING poeple will say, oh yea blizzard listens to its fan they changed the game becuase we wanted them to.... NO, they didnt

but watch, they will say it

    and i will laugh

    im already laughing
