Okay guys, i made a list of things i think most of us if not all can agree upon. i will make a poll as to see if most people agree with me, and if so, i believe blizzard should do their best to meet the consumers demands.
Blizzard:
please take note of all that made the past Diablo's (more so Diablo 2) successful, and implement it completely into D3. I understand that you guys want to add new stuff to it and are looking at other games such as God of War, but the thing is, you need to look no further than Diablo 2. It is simply the greatest game ever, and i for one would much rather you play it safe, than screw with a good formula that is NOT broken.
1.) Please have the difficulty be hard as Diablo 2 was. I don't know if i like the health orbs, as they may make the game to easy, but i am not sure of that just yet.
2.) Make sure the skill trees are trees of some sort and have a lot of customization. Half the fun in Diablo 2 was making endless amounts of characters because not every character is the same as another. There were many ways of creating characters, such as having a hammerdin, conviction and zeal paladin, or fanatacism and zeal paladin. I have little problems with slight respecing, but i definitely have HUGE problems with complete respecing, as it takes this element of uniqueness and replayability away.
3.) I know you already have an art style, but please try your best to make the game as dark, gritty, and evil as possible. That being said i believe the graphics are slightly different than WoW and are better by far.
4.) Do NOT have a subscription added to the game. it is ridiculous for this type of game and will no doubt lower the amount of buyers (as far as i know).
5.) Have an array of arreas that are like the dungeon shown in the video, as well as big open fields that were all over in diablo 2.
6.) Rework anything that isnt like diablo (weapons, runes, gems, charms, inventory, chest, health and mana regeneration, and so on), into being somehtign that is very much like diablo (2 that is), but evolved.
Man, if i was a game development company, and people started making demands on a game that was only announced a day ago, i'd cancel development.
I am pretty sure Blizzard knows what people need more than those people think. They are probably used to this, and I imagine they make the game for themselves, not for those ungrateful.
This is Blizzard. The guys who are #1 at polishing their games to be fun. You are telling them how things should be that is probably 2 years away from release.
People losing faith on blizzard to deliver all based on 20 minutes of gameplay which showed 1 tiny dungeon and a small outdoor area which are probably just the intro parts and doesn't show the later parts where things can get dark, gritty, and ugly.
It's been 8 years. We are getting testy, and impatient, so of course we are going to point out all the flaws that we find. Blizzard North is no longer working on the project, so we are unsure if they will actually deliver this time.
Despite the fact that I think it's too early to judge this game, I'd agree overall, save the following:
1 - I don't think we have any idea about the difficulty yet.
3 - I think there is a fair amount of dark and some lighter places, so it should be fine.
5 - Again, from what we've seen so far, there appear to be both.
but i definitely have HUGE problems with complete respecing, as it takes this element of uniqueness and replayability away.
I actually think introducing that aspect would greatly enchance Replayability, Who's to say you wouldn't stick with say a witch doctor for awhile, then decide hmm I want to try something different, you'll be able to have the same character, and the same gear I'm assuming, but having a new arsenal of skills at your dismay... No one really knows the level cap or anything quite yet... so respecing your skills on a character could possibly bring more replayability to those who don't want to make a new character... It alllows full controls of the "variety". By this I mean, you could have a witch doctor that.. (sorry but I'm trying to only use things I'm aware of from the gameplay trailer and the class skills videos..) may be spec'd for a fully upgraded locust swarm.. but then decide you want to maybe let your pets do more of the fighting and kind of stand back and firebomb shit... so you'd be able to go back a few skills maybe and get something like improved firebomb... I just think it could allow players to really feel different types of roles their classes can play cooperatively and solo...

But it should be limited. If it's not limited, than what would be the point of creating a new character?
Most of your points are more questions or talking about things you know nothing about (like how the hell would you know health orbs make everything to easy....).
It is far to early to start making judgments/demands.
The one thing you can really comment on so far is graphics, but even that is probably not entirely finalized... and we know nothing of the options, maybe you can lower gama, reduce the colour, add/remove the glow effects etc...

They made health orbs so there is less downtime. I love this game! I can't wait!!
Warcraft 3 made warcraft 2 extinct
Will D3 do the same to D2
I REALLY THINK SO!
WHY?
Because the gameplay is SO good! SO fast, so much action!
Whirlwind, SMASH, BOOM! CHARGE!
CRAZY!!
After seeing the kind of graphics in D3, I don't think I would trust them to operate on that part of my body.
lmao.
maybe Blizzard North..

and it's not going to get any better. Most of the complainers will complain until (and beyond) the release of the game.

i agree, i dont want complete raspec, i just want it so you dont ruin your character by clicking a wrong skill.
Making Controversial points one post at a time!
Have them obtainable by quest, with a maximum of 3.
