I have played the game since launch and have 100s of hours of play time invested. I have seen Blizzard do NOTHING to make the game better. Every time I get a new class to 60 Im forced to hit the RMAH for gear because you cant get it from playin gth eactual game. With over 100k elite kills I have never sold an item for more than 100 mil gold and in the last month I havent even gotten a drop that I have listed on the AH. Am I not right to express outrage as they choose to destroy the game rather than make it better? Im not a hater or troll Blizzard is. Compare this game to something like Path of Exile and please tell me where its actually better? The loot system is broken and doesnt revolve around time spent in game but the AH. Crafting is terrible. Blizzard doesnt listen to its players. Hell this game was never even beta tested unless you consider what we are doing now "Open Beta"
Dude.. I can't stand this inaccurate shit anymore. How is adding paragn levels, changing itemization, crafting, monster density, endless minor tweaks and whatnot, considered as "doing nothing". You are just a little kid.
You hear some retard comparing POE and D3 and you come here to repeat the same words... Jesus Christ rid us of this madness!
I was going to comment on the doing "nothing" remark, but ruksak and Jamoose seem to have already covered this. Take your hyperbole back to the official forums, please.
I am a large blizzard fan. I have played their games a ton. 1000s of huors of enjoyment. If I never played D3 again it was worth the 3 copies I purchased for my family. In playing their games I have seen them shut down a game immediately because the top boss that only .00000000001 percent of the population could even get to was able to be killed easily because of bug and issued a rollback. Why on earth didn't they shut down the servers immediatley, this information was out fast. If the servers were shut down quickly a rollback would have caused hardly any hardship at all and fixed everything. The bug I understand...poop happens. Not shutting down the servers once they were aware of the problem, then continuing to not shut it down really limited their options in dealing with the issues and made the cleanup much messier. I am disappointed.
I had a long break from playing D3 and I'm still far from installing it again. Its still the same, easy as hell slasher with RPG elements. Not a Diablo I expected.
Really? Because you just described Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 too.

I wonder why people like you who want a "hard" gaming experience don't play with the bare minimum stats on MP10. 1 slight screw up and you're dead. It requires absolute precise timing on your skills, insanely good positioning and predicting ability (to foresee enemies' abilities and prepare for them). I'm sure you can do that with one hand, right?
Kick it up a notch, do that in Hardcore. There's your "hard".
Really? Because you just described Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 too.
People are still jumping on the "diablo-fan" bandwagon without never really having played those games.
I wonder if these hardcore gamers have ever played something like DmC 3-4 on Hell/Dante-Must-Die mode, or RE5 on Veteran (if that genre is your thing). No bragging rights there, right?
KingKongor is 100000% right...
Blizzard is a stupyd gaming company...
They have to do something before Farmville will be a better game than all releases from Blizzard.
Shame on them....
They just keep crawling out of the woodwork, one after another.

Kongor you are the best. These numb nuts are just jealous. I have watch a ton of streamers and most of them suck compared to you. You are entertaining and interact with the viewers and keep it interesting. 99% of others just sit there talk online with their friends and play with no commentary or interaction or insight. Keep up the good work. And Blizzard when are you going to start with the good work.

I don't mind Kongor at all. I don't mind people supporting him. But I do mind it when people like you berate others as if they were peons compared to streamers who get a lot of online traffic.
You know where else you can get a lot of insight? Forum posts. In-game conversations. I also have a Twitch account, except I probably used it a total of three times since last October. Does that mean I fail and have less insight or interaction with other players?
...
Oh, by the way, since this is about gold duping and the sky falling, I have 7.5 billion gold that is probably worth a fraction of what it used to be... who needs a donation?

Me! You had better give me all that worthless gold before it becomes even more worthless and you're stuck with the shame of having it cluttering up your account!!!
In about a week most of us have forgotten this and moved on.
And in about a month everyone have forgotten about this and moved on.
This is certainly not the biggest fail ever in a game. It's not really a big fail at all for Blizzard. Bugs happens. They are quickly fixing it and taking back gold. If this were to happen to most other game makers they would have left it for longer and not done much about it other than fixing it.
Diablo 3 continues to be an enormous and huge success.
You have a promising career in marketing ahead of you.
Actually, that's probably correct... but only because this was a gold-duping issue that was only live for a brief period. The spurious gold that goesn't get erased by Blizzard's cleanup crew will get attenuated into oblivion after a few rounds on the money-go-round by Blizzard's AH cut. There'll be a brief surge of activity at the top end on the market, and the ripples will fade into background noise shortly thereafter.
The effect on the economy will be minimal, and IMO the only thing that's really worth finding out is how Blizzard is dealing with the RMAH side of things... did people Blizzwallets get locked down? Will RMAH accounts get debited? What about people who were smart enough to exploit the hell out of the bug, then cash out before Blizzard went to DEFCON 2?
Those who cashed out can be prosecuted simply if they don't return it.
Prosecuted for... what exactly? Don't confuse breach of TOS with breach of federal or state law. Blizz could sue them, but it's unlikely that they would do so.
Oh, by the way, since this is about gold duping and the sky falling, I have 7.5 billion gold that is probably worth a fraction of what it used to be... who needs a donation?
You have no idea how much fun I'd have or how many builds I'd try with something like 150-200 million gold
And when you say that it's worth a fraction, are you implying you don't believe in Blizzard's capability of reverting everything back without a rollback? (which I also believe they can't)
I used 3 accounts to cycle gems & flip stuff during the "2 beez" incident.
My main and mule are unsuspended, all their items besides commodities are now bound to account. 2nd mule got banned. Might have went slightly overboard on that one, but I didn't care much for the account anyway.
Gold on main and first mule left untouched.
Bazinga! :Thumbs Up:
Thats why blizzard had to do a rollback
There will be plenty of people untouched and with bilions of gold....just lame
Don't know how to translate but it's a form of theft when you knowingly buy something, to cancel and profit on the return. The abuse of the bug is penalizing blizzard and doing so is punishable in most player's countries. It's another thing whether that happens of course, which I doubt. But scamming another player is also theft of virtual property and punishable by law.
I realize, as a law student, violating the ToS is not illegal per se. But it can be. Just as discussing preparation for some of the more severe crimes, etc.
I'm not sure where the liability would lay?
There are many electronic trade laws in effect, federally. Because this wan't a client-side hack, rather, a server side bug being exploited, I'm going to have to point toward blizz for complicity through negligence.
They (Blizz) provided an err that allowed people to purchase IGG with real money in a manner that violates in-game policies. They then take this IGG and (attempt to) exchange it for real monies. The effect is very much similar to counterfeiting.
A related read up on the subject; "The agreement aims to establish an international legal framework for targeting counterfeit goods, generic medicines and copyright infringement on the Internet"....."Trades Unions representing workers in the music, film and TV industries [8] and large intellectual property-based organizations"
......
To this end, I'm thinking perhaps Blizzard would bear the complicity for this, due to this being a server side bug that provided people with a means to essentially print money using IGG as a medium. What responsibility the exploiters have in this matter, legally speaking, I have no clue.

Guess its time to cash out and call it, not like I will ever manage to farm 1% of this amount of gold legit.
Not even with your great rend barb build, thanks for that
I'm not saying Derpz123 will get caught...I'm just pointing out that Blizzard isn't done yet and the arrogance he's flaunting may be premature. They're still actively tying all accounts together via IP and activity logs in their database. What he did (x-fering inter-account) isn't something that Blizz isn't aware of.
What's taking so long for this to wrap up is exactly what I typed above. Blizz is looking for exactly what he (Derpz) did, and many people whom thought they dodged a bullet, are getting disappointed when they catch up to them.
I hope he and everyone like him gets caught. Nothing personal, it's just best for everyone.
How MP10 is hard? Its more boring, i still can't die, the only difference i feel is the mob health.
I finished DMC 1 nad 3 on dante must die, they were my favourite games few years back. Want my savegame?
Btw RE5 is also easy on veteran if you know how you play
When everything that's a Player vs Environment experience is mindnumbingly easy for you, it's time to move into Player vs Player. It doesn't matter how hard the challenges set by developers are, they can always be overcome with enough time and practice (or guides/videos from the internet). It's how any PvE game works.
You should acknowledge, though, that most people simply don't have the accuracy and game knowledge to clear RE5 on Veteran or the reflexes/timing to clear GoW/DmC on the highest diff. You seem to not be able to recognize how a majority of the gamers does not have those skills - and that's the "difficulty" in those games.
Behaving as if those were easy just for the "badass factor" online does not change what they are. And unfortunately for you, that's the sort of elitist epeening that nobody likes.
Now if you want an absolutely always challenging gaming experience, the only choice left for you is a PvP environments/game (DotA, CoD, LoL, SC2, SFIV, UMvC3, Chess, whatever). No amount of practicing, knowledge of the game and the metagame will put you on top of those. You might be battling the big guys in no time by having the fundamentals, but to consistently win you'll need something more on top of that - creativity, outstanding consistency, out of the box thinking.
"Oh but I dislike any sort of PvP". How convenient, uh? Just like that famous streamer who claims to be the most badass hardcore gamer evah, complains about how everything is so easy, but never plays anything that's actually competitive? Yeah, I rest my case.
Well the suspension was lifted, and besides gear being BOA I have full access. So chances of them catching me now seem non-existant, with my limited knowledge about such processes.
I was just remembering this great quote;
"to preserve the integrity of the experience" (in regards to online mode)
and
"then we doubled it" (guess what, so did I)
The management of this game is beyond appalling.
I mean we had terrible design from day 1 (2h and 1h weapons same stats, lolol) .. on top of that we have horrible QA (wiz invul bug, barb bug, ..), bots are rampant and largely left unchecked (personal experience there), and now this over-the-top-ruin-your-gold-market dupe .. lets not mention the 17 teeming necklaces being sold on 2jsp.
Sure, D3, at its very core, is a solid base for a game.
Everything else, as objectively as I can be, has been lackluster. Bugs, exploits, slow and very reactive dev process .. epic PR screwups ..
In D2, what % of players bought items for gold?
I am willing to bet it is significantly higher in D3, as Blizzard, through implementation of the RMA, decided to attach monetary value to all ingame assets.
While older communities used to frown on pay-2-win, Blizzard actually implemented it as a feature, bringing out greed in people, and offering customers a worse gaming experience then before, thanks to lots of encounters with greed (scams, bots, exploits).
tl;dr Glad I did it, sorry for the community, but thats it.
And what would be best for the community is a complete rollback (duh), along with a thorough evaluation of their development and Q&A methods.
Currently they are removing the symptoms (gold created through bug), they need to remove or minimize the cause (shitty QA), or this will just repeat itself in time.
Much os this I agree with, I gotta say.
However...about the bugs;
All PC games suffer from this. I played GW1 for 7 years on and off. From day 1 to the last day I played it (March 2012), dupes, exploits and bugs surfaced all the time. Some were benign issues, some were game breaking, even dupes bug appeared.
Where D3 has issues is the RMAH, and any bug there can have tragic consequence, as I'm sure we're all now aware.
However, in the interest of 100% honesty, all loot/gold based PC games have a very active illicit trade market for real money. This phenomenon is certainly not exclusive to D3. That's what's funny here. Even with a sanctioned "legal" (in terms of ToS) real money trade mechanism in-game, there's still an illicit market for game items/gold for D3.
tl;dr Glad I did it, sorry for the community, but thats it.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry at that remark.

Anyone that facerolls MP10 has either been very very lucky with drops, has played the AH Tycoon game, played WAAAAY too many hours or otherwise used the RMAH to purchase their way to a boring game experience.
For the general population, MP10 is still viable and fun test of their limits and skills.
Really?
I mean be honest...really?
Nothing?
7 or 8 patches and ....nothing? Not even a little taste of improvement?
This is why the haters fucking fail harder than OJ Simpson at a knife convention.....an acute lack of honesty while offering criticism.
