Oh, and a followup...
Thats like saying I have a company called "Blue"
and I have a game called "Blue 1: The Destiny."
And someone out there makes a website called "Blue 2"
Now, my company is never going to make a blue 2, but theres been tons of talk about Blue 2, so, my company is going to go ahead and buy blue 2. So now, my company owns Blue 2, and all the rights, but why?
Because my company is just that stupid, right? I mean, we're not making Blue 2 ever, but we went ahead and secured all the rights. That serves a point, right? It actually makes my fans happier, right? I mean, its not going to overhype anything or blow up any news, right?
WRONG.
Blizzard buying Diablo 3 = Everyone knows Diablo 3 is coming.
Blizzard NOT buying Diablo 3 = After a few years, things start to die, slowly, everyone forgets, and Blizzard never owns the franchise rights for Diablo 3 because they NEVER INTENDNED TO MAKE IT.
So, ONCE AGAIN...
You dont buy crap you arent using!

Blizzard would actually SHY away from buying any domains or doing anything related to Diablo 3 whatsoever AT ALL if they lacked any intention to create a Diablo 3.
You need to learn more about company franchising rights.
You don't buy random domains that have nothing to do with products you own unless you are going to use it. -

Diablo 3 isn't part of the Diablo franchise.
You guys are wrong.
Unless, of course, Blizzard has completely bought the trademark and now owns Diablo 3 and all of its assets to control all the domain names, then that means Diablo 3 is coming.
You have to look at it this way.
Blizzard would not go around buying Domain names related to things they havent nor have any intention of creating or created yet. This is like saying Blizzard would buy "www.dolphin.com" just because they want to redirect people to their website.
In short, Blizzard is acquiring all the Diablo 3 domain names because they now own Diablo 3 and everything associated with it. There is only one reason they would own this domain name, and third game name. They waited until the last moment to snatch up www.diablo3.com, because they knew when they did it would basically tell everyone "Hey, Diablo 3 is coming" so they bought up all the smaller domains first in relation to Diablo 3, and then hit the big one, www.diablo3.com itself.
Why did they wait all this time?
1) Its kept fans together.
2) Its the biggest domain for their product. It is diablo3.com itself. They are probably a few months away from actually announcing the product now, because if they weren't, they would've just waited longer to snatch up this domain.
Diablo 3 is coming. There would be NO other reason Blizzard would buy the Diablo3 domains. -

That's like saying they would purchase "Diablo10.com" and not have any intention of making a tenth diablo game when Diablo 10 clearly has nothing to do with their diablo franchise.Posted in: News

What were runes to begin with, I'm a little unclear?
If I read correctly there were over 3,000 runes in the game, ranks 1-5 or something, and each level did the same thing visually to the ability but made it a little more powerful, and those visual effects were like, maybe spark out differently, or turn red, or look like a glowing crystal instead of a circle, or make a fireball skip a little longer below blowing up. Which is what they do now, you just don't have to watch for them to drop off bosses, you instead have to actually play and level your character.
In Diablo 2, Runes were limited items used to modify existing gear or to make runewords, the runes in Diablo 3 were never remotely close to that concept. Whoever thought up the idea of the original idea for runes in Diablo 3 (just like those 9,000,000 varities of gems) should have been fired.
No mass collection in a Hack n Slash, kthx. I'm not catching all the Unowns and putting them in my PokeBox.

Runes just implemented, it's February 20th, a Monday, and almost March. If this game is coming in the next two months, it's time.

Wasn't that the last big thing preventing a date? I seriously don't even give a shit if my fireball spell goes farther or looks different, the runes mean nothing to me.
Launch the damn game.

I actually cant even play the game without the increased sharpness now. The normal game is almost blurry.

Not at all.

Don't be too hard on him, he's still to young to realize length of time played and money spent do not mean anything when it comes to Beta test invitations. I remember when I used to think the same. When I was 12. But I'll admit, I did lol when he said "I've played WoW since Lich King"
I also really like that he became obsessed with Diablo 2 in 2008, and he's already bored of it. I played Diablo 2 from 2000 to 2005 without stopping.
