posted a message on Diablo3.com becomes Diablofans.com! Blizzard acquires diablo3.com.
Again, I need to stress the fact...
Diablo 3 isn't part of the Diablo franchise.
    You guys are wrong.

Unless, of course, Blizzard has completely bought the trademark and now owns Diablo 3 and all of its assets to control all the domain names, then that means Diablo 3 is coming.

You have to look at it this way.
Blizzard would not go around buying Domain names related to things they havent nor have any intention of creating or created yet. This is like saying Blizzard would buy "www.dolphin.com" just because they want to redirect people to their website.

In short, Blizzard is acquiring all the Diablo 3 domain names because they now own Diablo 3 and everything associated with it. There is only one reason they would own this domain name, and third game name. They waited until the last moment to snatch up www.diablo3.com, because they knew when they did it would basically tell everyone "Hey, Diablo 3 is coming" so they bought up all the smaller domains first in relation to Diablo 3, and then hit the big one, www.diablo3.com itself.

Why did they wait all this time?
    1) Its kept fans together.
    2) Its the biggest domain for their product. It is diablo3.com itself. They are probably a few months away from actually announcing the product now, because if they weren't, they would've just waited longer to snatch up this domain.

Diablo 3 is coming. There would be NO other reason Blizzard would buy the Diablo3 domains.

Blizzard wouldn't purchase domains to game sequels they weren't planning to create. That's like saying they would purchase "Diablo10.com" and not have any intention of making a tenth diablo game when Diablo 10 clearly has nothing to do with their diablo franchise.

posted a message on Angels exist, yes? no? maybe?
If god existed, we wouldn't. Look at humans.
If angels exist, why the hell are they protecting HUMANS and how are they helping this planet?

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
    Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
    Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able, and willing?
    Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
    Then why call him God?"
    -Epicurus 33 A.D.

Also, we need to stop worrying about God and start focusing on how the hell we are supposed to get off of this planet.

... I don't care if Angels or Demons don't exist in real life, I still like it as a concept of humanity.

And, yes, Equinox, you're very correct. God as we know him is nothing like what the true "god" is.

In real life and in this fantasy, Demons and Angels seem to be dark and evil.
Demons outright evil and saddestic, Angels hiding how dark they are just so you feel comfortable with worshipping them and letting them guide your life - a peaceful takeover.

Humans are neutral, they fight for themselves, they are the good ones, trying to fight for their own justice and rights, while Angels and Demons are only obsessed with taking over and ruling everything.

    ...

    Good is horrible.
    Evil is horrible.

Dude, look at the two factions!

Evil wants to take over and use the humans agaisnt Heaven, they want to throw all of Sanctuary into chaos and rule over everything...
And Heaven wants to control everything and have inhuman order and dominate everything and control everything because no matter what, they are all so arrogant they believe everything they say and do is right...
What makes good so good? Angels aren't merciful... They are slayers of anything against them. If Humans are neutral, that makes them against Heaven.

Trag'Oul is the thing in between Heaven and Hell, he has to keep Sanctuary balanced, because if theres too much evil, the hells DESTROY everything and enslave humans... If theres too much good, the heavens DOMINATE everything and control humans...

In the eyes of the humans, Angels are just as bad as Demons. Sure, Angels are good as opposed to Demons, but they still think their way is the best way in the entire multiverse and they believe they should be able to command and control everything on Sanctuary, whereas Demons just want to take over, destroy everything, and rule.

It's a double edged sword dude, Humans are out on their own. Tyrael is the closest it gets to being a "Good Angel" because he voted for Sanctuary to be kept instead of destroyed and he chose to watch over the humans as they grow and protect them.

Actually, the demons and angels made atruce about 2,000 years before The Black Road takes place to not interfere with Sanctuary...

Demons break promises all the time, and Tyrael, 2,000 years before The Black Road, was assigned to be Sanctuary's guardian so that nothing would interfere with the peace treaty, etc.

Good is just as evil as Evil, btw.

So, heres one of my friends best attempts at a map, I just called him and told him... And, kind of funny, but, it seems like a pretty good rough cut.

The only things I dont know about are the exact locations of Khanduras, Westmarch and Einsteig, but, overall, looks pretty good.

(My guess is Einsteig is pretty close to Khanduras considering The Rogue Encampment is where the wanderer first showed up, and Tristram is in Khanduras)

posted a message on Sup everyone - Diablo MAP.
Hey guys, with all of us pumped up and excited for Diablo 3, I was just wondering...

Anyone ever heard of an actual World Map for the Diablo universe of Sanctuary... I figured I'd post on here to see if anyone has any shop skills or any map making ability...

Basically, heres the run of the world I've got so far.

We have one main Continent with Eastern, Western, Northern kingdoms (Nothing about southern kingdoms yet)
The Northern Kingdom of this continent is home to Mount Arreat, this area is better known as "The Northern Steppes" it also is home to Harrogath and all of the barbarian tribes. The climate is basically frozen.

Next, we have The Eastern Kingdoms, which are the Deserts of Aranoch which house Lut Gholein, this area is to the very east of the continent, and also takes up some of the middle of the continent. The Tamoe mountain range, which lines the eastern border of the Western Kingdoms, acts as a natural barrier into these provinces. Although impassable in most areas, these mountains hold a vast and lush woodlands. These forests stand in stark contrast to the bleak wastelands lying beyond them to the east: the flat, unforgiving, sand-swept deserts of Aranoch.

And finally, below the northlands, and to the left of the deserts of aranoch, we have "The Western Kingdoms". We have the most information for The Western Kingdoms.
Sandwiched between the Barbarian lands to the north and the vast deserts to the east lie the mountainous, verdant forestlands of the Western Kingdoms. The Western Kingdoms are comprised of the three regions: Entsteig, Khanduras, and Westmarch. The smaller, self-contained kingdoms contained herein have developed unique rules of protocol and etiquette, leading many to consider the Western Kingdoms as the most civilized of lands. Such exalted opinions stand in surprising contrast to the youthful age of the realm. While long a destination of merchants and peaceful travelers, recently infighting has made the Western Kingdoms a common destination for mercenaries and other, more sordid, visitors.

The Western Kingdoms are well known for their rich woodlands, a result of the area's nutrient laden soil, pleasant rainfall, and mild climate. From the massive pine and spruce, to the supple yew and ash, these woodlands are unequaled anywhere in Sanctuary. These abundant, fine-grained woods are forested for housing, farming tools, and weapons of warfare. The Sisters of the Sightless Eye, who make their homes within the provinces of Entsteig, are renowned for the bows that they fashion from these trees.

So, basically, overall, I've come to deduce that in the world of Sanctuary, our main Continent houses The Northern Steppes (Harrogath, Mount Arreat). The Eastern Kingdoms (Deserts of Aranoch, Lut Gholein). And The Western Kingdoms (Entsteig, The Rogue Encampment).

Think of the main continent as a triangle, with the bottom left of the triangle being The Western Kingdoms, the top of the triangle being The Northern Kingdoms, and the bottom right of the triangle being The Eastern Kingdoms, or Rogue Encampment, Harrogath, and Lut Gholein respectively.

Kehjistan and Kurast lye on a seperate continent to the east of the twin seas, which seperates Kurast from Lut Gholein, so we wont worry about that area.

But for now, lets start thinking about a world map focused on the main continent with the three directionally bound kingdoms.

posted a message on Who is really behind all the evil?
Heaven and Hell have existed since before man... Didnt you read the tomes in Diablo?

    Here, lemme post em all...

Take heed and bear witness to the truthes that lye here in.
For they are the last legacy of the Horadrim.
There is a war that wages on, even now.
Beyond the fields that we know
Between the Utopian Kingdoms of the High Heavens...
And the Chaotic Pits of the Burning Hells.

This war is known, as the Great Conflict.
It has raged and burned longer than any of the stars in the sky.
Neither side ever gains sway for long, as the forces of Light and Darkness
constantly vie for control over all creation.

So it came to be that there was a great revolution within the Burning Hells, known as the Dark Exile.
The Lesser Evils overthrew the three Prime Evils, and banished their spirit forms to the Mortal Realm.
The demons: Belial, the Lord of Lies, and Azmodan, the Lord of Sin, fought to claim rulership of Hell during the absence of the Three Brothers.
All of Hell polarized between the factions of Belial, and Azmodan, while the forces of the High Heavens continually battered upon the very gates of Hell.

Many Demons travelled to the Mortal Realm in search of the Three Brothers,
these Demons were followed to the Mortal Plane by Angels, who hunted them throughout the vast cities of the East, the Angels allied
themselves with a secretive order of Mortal Magi, named, The Horadrim, who quickly became adept at hunting Demons.
They also made many dark enemies in the underworlds.

When the eternal conflict between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells falls upon Mortal Soil, it is called the Sin War.
Angels and Demons walk amongst humanity in disguise, fighting in secret away from the prime eyes of Mortals. Some daring powerful Mortals,
have even allied themselves with either side, and help to dictate the course, of the Sin War.

Good thing this is all a joke, because Diablo has no mother... he was created by baal, mephisto and someone else, or whatever, hes younger than all the rest.

    Hence, mephisto
"Now, my young brother, the time has come to assume your true form"

posted a message on Who is really behind all the evil?
Good to see we have so much constructive storyline going on here...

Now, I'm not the god of blizzard or anything, but I do have alot of knowledge, and lemme begin by saying...
Blizzard jokes around alot and includes alot of secret stuff. WIRT'S leg is a freggin inside joke at blizzard now, so they put it into Warcraft 3.
It has NOTHING to do with Diablo being apart of the Warcraft universe, or whatever. It was just a little inside joke for people who have played past games. Guess what? In world of warcraft, you can get Wirt's Third Leg.

That being said, the diablo world is completely seperate from Warcraft, it has nothing to do with the Warcraft universe, and no demons in Warcraft ever required a soulstone or anything like that.

Nextly, as of the Tyrael and Cain debate...
Tyrael is an Arch-Angel. Tyrael was the one who bound Baal to Tal-Rasha, Tyrael is the one who destroyed the Worldstone to stop demons from flowing in TOO quickly.
Tyrael is definitley not a bad guy. And if blizzard did somehow make him the root of things, thatd be an incredibly gay and expected plot twist and would just ruin everything. I would no longer trust anyone in any of the games seeing as "They could be the root of all evil, why am I doing quests for this person." Or I could constantly ask the question "I bet Drognan is just leading me on... He's really probably just Diablo in disguise."

Tyrael is pure and holy, we've seen whats happened to the fallen angels, like Izual, even though corrupted, he still tried to help in the end when the hero killed his demonic form.

As for Deckard Cain having something to do with it all... Hes part of the horadrim. The freggin' humans that allied with angels to hunt demons. There is no way hes corrupted, and if he is, hes much too old and weak to do anything, and on top of that, if hes corrupted and a big evil, why was he imprisoned at Tristram? Because he was one of the ancient demon hunters, and im sure they had further plans for him before the hero showed up.

Now, I'm not saying it couldnt be Tyrael or Cain... But what I am saying is thatd be incredibly predictable and tasteless of blizzard to do.
"Hey guys, you know Akara? And Adria? Well they are really both super powerful witches and they werent selling you health potions, they were selling you corrupt potions and now in Diablo 3, the hero from diablo 1 who you thought you killed in Diablo 2 shows up with the corrupted hero from Diablo 2 and they fight you!"

BTW, has anyone here actually read any of the novels? I own all 5 of them and I'm currently in the middle of Moon Of The Spider.
You might want to read those, they help alot on Diablo lore and tell alot about the world.
