This is debatable, because the first thing i think when i say Diablo is slaying monsters in a dungeon for loot and character progression.Quote from ZohaibTrading was an integral part to diablo,
Aug 9, 2014This poor horse..... or goo. It has been beat so hard by this topic that it is no longer an equine.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I said so many times that BoA is an over reaction from Blizzard to shut down third party sites and scammers and there should be some sorta of limited trading between friends and clan but in the end i got a better gaming experience because drop rates are balanced around playing the game and not lurking on forum or spamming in trade chat.
What we had with the AH was a terrible experience because drop rates were balanced around free trading and we spent hours (if not days) to find something remotely usefull, probably to sell and grab another item. If you were lucky, you were set forever, you jumped to MP10 and you where done with the game. If you were smart, you flipped the crap out of the AH and you didn't even need to play the game. If you started playing from release, you gained enough gold to buy gear in an inflated economy and you were in MP10. If you had more money than common sense, you bought gold and you were done.
I think Blizzard's stance is pretty clear, they are removing Trading Forums from their board too, so don't hold your breath for some sorta of 180° (AGAIN).
Aug 3, 2014I noticed that Sash of Knives doesn't roll Fan of Knives damage anymore.... i'm pretty sad to read that. I'm a fan of niche builds... even if i have M6 and i always play with that set because... only viable build in T6.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
(And double post on the same thread, gotta farm that counter)
Jul 23, 2014If Campaign Mode was so horribly linear i wouldn't mind if it was viable for farming, but since we are stuck with quests that have to be done in order, paths blocked until you complete each step and Azmodan "Master Tactician" and Diablo "Lord of Terrah" taunting you every 5 minutes, i'm glad i don't have to replay it in season.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I agree on your opinion about Rifts and Bounties, the former is waaaay too efficient and they screwed it. The free world we have has become useless and we are just playing inside our town to open the portal and enjoy a disproportionate drop rate compared to what's outside of the Rift bubble.
Then, when someone is in need of keystone (does it ever happen?) he will jump on Act 1 normal, because OP RING OF OPNESS drops only there. Your "I'm completely fed up with Act 1 bounties!" quote nailed this game mode perfectly.
Live Ubers are a joke, i have no idea why me and a friend tried to craft the Hellfire ring, but looking for Wardens and killing Bosses was a huge waste of time because the loot rewards outside rifts are too low. At least they will have something usefull to craft next patch, and i'm happy about it.
As you, shaggy, i wish that every mode has an equal reward system, because if i ever try to step out of Rifts of Act 1 Bounties i feel like an idiot, because going out of bounds makes me feel i'm doing it wrong.

Jul 22, 2014Yeah, so many players wanted to seasons for competition and a fresh start.... oh wait, as expected they wanted new stuff to loot. Surely some of the new legendaries are on the meh side and should be looked, but expecting stuff like Marauder, Earthquake was delusional.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Blizzard is trying to not force anyone into season if they don't want to, smartly, and they can't put overpowered stuff there. As said above, they don't want nomal players to be left in the dirt.
Kudos to Rantallion for his thoughts, he nailed the situation perfectly. I'm just glad i will be able to have a fresh start once in a while to play with friends soon, as i always did with Diablo 2.
Jul 18, 2014I didn't play 2.1 on PTR, but i think this is shaping to be the best patch, yet. They are adding ladders and greater rifts, but i'm more pleased that they are working to fix some gameplay issues, like dex being terrible for defence, 2 handed weapons being horrible and adding some legendary affixes to glorified rares... or at least make them a 5/2 to be a bit more appealing and giving all weapons a "free" socket.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Sure, we still have other issues like boring gems... but seeing how things are shaping up, feedback is being used and the game is going in a good direction.

I know we are in OT territory now, but i think that in general if you devote more hours into something, you will get better.... but leveling faster isn't a display of skill, expecially during this "pre-season" where we saw afk exp farming and ghom botting. at least the former has been fixed, but i bet we will see a new experience farm exploit.Quote from shaggy
More and more people seem to be defining how "good" they are at something by how many hours they devote to it. I guess this is the age of streamer mentality huh?
But as i saw recently, everything should be an esport and if you aren't flexing your e-peen hard enough, you are playing wrong and you are a scrub.
As i always said, i see season as a way to hard reset my progress and start from scratch, which i always found fun to do in Diablo 2 once every 4-6 months, but i'm aware to not being able to compete in the leveling race because i have other games to play....
Jul 14, 2014What's up with the derogatory terms for modes you don't consider pro enough? I've seen it quite often lately.... Jeez, can't other people have different gameplay without being labeled as noobs and scrubs?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
By the way, as other said, there will be new Legendary items each season that will be dropped on normal as soon the new ladder will begin, so players not partecipating will get the new stuff too.... with a bit of delay.
Jul 10, 2014I'm a boring guy that sticks with the same class for ages. Until the recent buffs to Demon Hunter i would have switched to Crusader for the HC season but i changed my mind and i'll stick with the archer.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Jul 5, 2014This reminds me of people complaining about solo queues in LoL but doing nothing to play with other people they know and have sinergy with. I had people in D3V adding me after a successful MP10 farm run and i played with them again (and that's a miracle because i'm mostly a solo player. Hi clan, i'm still alive). I think the problem lies that co-op is waaaaay easier than solo to farm efficiently, so players left alone feel compelled to join pub games and try their luck to gain more experience and loot... and like in every game, random pub are a mess, but i won't blame the system but the fact that some players want to be carried hard and that ruins the experience for the rest of the group. At least we have vote to kick....Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Jul 5, 2014I would love to have faster patches, but i can live without Diablo 3 for a couple of months if i'm bored of the current content. I guess the world is falling and this franchise is dead... totally. (should i add a kappa or sarcasm tag to make sure i'm not meaning what i wrote seriously?)Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I keep going back and forth on the Transmog idea in D3. I like the idea of being able to customize the way I look when an upgrade happens to be an ugly PoS, but more importantly, I like being able to accurately distinguish what a player in mulitplayer is wearing, visually. Now i'll be forced to go through the hassle of inspecting a player if I ever feel the need to see what his gear is like.
And doesn't transmoging a Legendary, kinda take something away from it being a Legendary? Is it just me that feels like it does?
That's a concern rised in WoW too when Transmogrification was announced and implemented. Some players, expecially Arena competitors, wanted to see how someone was geared by just looking at his gear model; but i think being able to change my character apperance once in a while and not seeing every Demon Hunter or any other class wearing the same set like they were copy pasted it's refreshing. Same thing happened in WoW, and i'm glad i could see some variance of gear in Stormwind.
I'm ok by changing a Legendary in a common item aspect, otherwise it won't change anything; sooner or later you character will wear all oranges and greens, so will other players. At that point we will have copy pasted characters all over again.
I'm a bit contrary to being able to transmog rares into legendaries but since you unlocked the model, it's yours. I hope we will see some good sets like Jaetch's Ninja wizard
Nov 2, 2013Seifa posted a message on Transmogrification No Longer Binds items, "Stay Awhile and Listen" Review, Community Commentary: To Live is to DieI can't imagine how much patience CMs have on the official forum. The amount of idiots yelling at Trasmogrification like it was the main and only feature of RoS is unbelievable. Some people really need reading comprehension and/or an attention span longer than 5 seconds, so they can read all the next addition of an expansion pack.Posted in: News

Considering the "Hell" difficulty is called "Tormento" in portuguese, I was a bit confused about the changes. (Poor localization team, there's not much you can do when "Hell" translates to "Inferno". Oops)
Ah ah, we have a similar problem for the Inferno name since it's the translation of hell in Italian, so the third difficulty in Diablo 3 is called Abisso (Abyss) in my language. Oh well, i play in English
To stay on topic. Torment could be a new name for MP level or a new difficulty that substitutes one or two from current ones.... At least Blizzcon is "soon".
EDIT: i totally missed this: "TIP024 - Defeating Normal difficulty will unlock the next difficulty setting, Nightmare. (THIS TIP IS NO LONGER IN THE GAME FILES)"
So.... can be Torment the new "Nightmare+Hell"?

This is one of the reasons why they're removing LS - people with low health and low res roflstomping through content because one single stat (LS) made all survivability stats and strategies obsolete.
So yeah, the game will no compensate, the game already has compensated for it - by many other life recovery options. A year ago, we actually had a choice. But with everyone running around in 200k DPS gear, 3% of life steal are enough to make you invincible and all other options useless.
I agree. Gameplay now is all about how many monsters you can gather around you and aoe them down while your Life Steal does all the work for you to stay alive. Of course this is a consequence of easily accessible high end gear (hi AH) and the MP levels, which are a fix for the insanly fast gearing process. I'm not ripping my hair off about this Life Steal nerf, it's good and should promote more thoughtful play.
Lastly, i don't think the current MP curve difficulty will stay in RoS after gameplay changes, i suspect some tweaks for it.

There should be a better way to trade instead of spamming chat all day? Yes. Suggestions have been thrown all around: game lobbies, trade posts etc. etc.
The AH has to go, this game is held back by the monetary value of gold and items, by the fact that there is no sink in currency and items and by terrible drop rates that make you want to buy stuff.

Josh is a real good lead director for this project and after seeing the console version working without an AH (maybe they should tone down the drop rates and stat inflation on PC compared to PS3/XboX) this was the best move to ensure that this game will live a lot longer.Posted in: News
In the future, self found will be a lot more viable and if people want to trade, they can do it in the old fashion way.
AAAAAAND now, let's see the gold value crash on the RMAH from all players cashing out.... this is so fun XD

Thank you for the video. I noticed that the lvl 70 Dead Man's Legacy has 7.5 crit chance and the Jawbreaker 35% Crit damage. I think they are going to nerf these two stats to make old and new affixes a bit more competitive. And last, all Legendaries seems account bound without the use of the Mystic to change stats... well, better than having all your oranges on sale on the AH.

No cap on paragon? So that means infinite paragon levels? Lawl
I'm seriously worried about that. Some people would be paragon 1000 by now, the majority hasn't even reached p100; how are they gonna make sure the game still stays balanced and these 24/7 players don't cause havoc to the system?
I saw there is a limit on how many stats you can allocate on a single attribute, soooo, the cap is when you maxed everything? °°

What happens to the paragon level you are currently @ now with your various characters, is this all gone?
I read in some interview, when talking about Paragon levels, that when they changed the system, the change would be retro active. If you have 100 levels already, you would get all the bonuses when the expansion goes live.
Now, about the announcement.... It's quite nice, but recently i said i wouldn't like a level cap increase, but i think it's the only way to clean the mess that vanilla D3 is.
At the moment i won't touch Diablo 3, until the expansion (or if a patch before it comes). I can't force myself to play if everything will be tossed away. <.<
