Theres a simple way around this peculiar bug. If you have a weapon with elemental damage, the damage from innas belt doesnt seem to directly apply, however, if you FIRST equip a weapon WITHOUT elemental damage, then the belt, THEN your real weapon, the damage will add up.

I'm experimenting with this right now. with my 6% inna's, if I take the belt off, equip a 1hbow (with no elemental damage) w/ quiver, then the belt, then my xbow, my dps is 58547.80. If I take it all off, equip a 1h sword with no elemental damage, equip the belt, equip my xbow, and finally my quiver, my dps is 59063.36. From this last number, if I take the belt off and reequip only that, my dps climbs to 60074.84. This is a different result than what you are posting. Are you using your belt in conjunction with a bugged set of Inna's pants? Mine have the working attack speed bonus, I wonder if there is an interaction between the two changing things.

A good basic quiver is going to have 14-15% attack speed, +10 discipline (most important), dex, and a decent amount of crit chance. Bonus vs elites and +damage to EA or HA or whatever skill you're using are just icing on the cake.

In this example, the explosion itself also has 30% chance to crit, and also benefits from extra crit damage. That's what makes calculating the dps of the rune so difficult.

I agree. Although this is merely anecdotal and my own speculation, the explosion seems to almost always crit, and it nearly does the same amount of damage as the original shot, maybe 10-15k less than a 110k crit. Supposedly the explosion should hit for 50%, but it seems much stronger than that.

Maybe my math is wrong here, but with a 30% crit chance, Spray of Teeth has 30% chance to explode, hitting 1 target twice, as well as any nearby enemies. It also has a 30% chance to pierce, thus striking twice. If we add that up, we can conclude that it has a 60% chance to strike at least twice per shot. If you get your crit chance even higher than that, the % climbs even higher. How is that not better than the rest of the HA runes? Is my math borked?

As a side note, CF also generates hatred without hitting a target.

So? All of the abilities under the Primary branch generate hatred without hitting a target. Also, what you're missing about Spray of Teeth is that a critical hit explodes, hitting the same target a second time, and if the arrow also penetrates it is likely to come back around and strike a 3rd time. The skill is amazing with high crit chance.

Jay Wilson said in an AMAA

    Official Blizzard Quote:

They are all aesthetic, except cold damage, which chills targets and conversely gets a damage reduction to account for the extra utility.

So I think that those flat increases are working as intended :D

The idea of it being a bug, is that it says "Add's 5-6% to holy damage." Is that meant to imply that it calculates 5-6% of your total damage, and then adds that much more as holy damage (as it appears to be working currently)? Or is it supposed to total any +holy damage from any gear or skills you are using, and add 5-6% of that. The difference would be huge.

As Lucidity points out, there is definitely something very funky with the item right now, my dps changes frequently with no rhyme or reason. I haven't been able to figure it out. It seems to be working most of the time, but occasionally it seems to stack twice. I haven't done any calculations. I have read speculation somewhere that the issue is caused by interaction with your quiver.

Yes, I do remember IAS, but changes were made right at the same time RMAH went live, so it didn't matter like it does now.

I had a +6% Inna's Blessing drop the other day and picked up the pants with 1 socket for 400k. Overall I lost some dps and vitality compared to my rare set, but the gain of all resist and the 7% MS more than made up for it imo. And as my dps goes up, the +holy damage should scale with it, making it more and more valuable.

I've been sort of worried that they'll fix the "bug" with how the +holy damage is calculated, but I think Blizzard has really backed themselves into a corner with the RMAH being released. Imagine the outcry if they changed the properties of items that people paid real money for. I'm sure this is the reason why the current Natalya's set bonus will not be changed, but more than likely new drops after the legendary update will be different. I would expect the same approach to be true for Zunimassa's and Inna's sets.

posted a message on Which Quiver?
I have both of these quivers, the one with +Elemental Arrow damage has better stats over all, but I know builds favoring Hungering Arrow are growing in popularity. Why is that? Which quiver should I hold on to?

Don't forget Elemental Arrow - Screaming Skull, which has 40% chance to fear targets for 1.5 seconds. Also, the Lightening Bolt rune stuns for 1.5 seconds on crit, which is better than Screaming Skull if you get your crit chance above 40%, because the mobs won't run from your party's tank, they'll just sit there soaking up their damage.

posted a message on Loaded for Nuke Build
You're right about Sharpshooter, it still isn't worth it, and I use Steady Aim in it's place. I posted this build because I thought the synergy between gear and skills was really cool. I can't come up with a better method of dealing so much damage at once. Three Spike Traps (if you're using the Scatter rune) and four Cluster Arrows hitting a pack of monsters, all with 100% chance to crit? I doubt there is a more powerful combo in the game!

Don't discout Grenadier just yet! I'm at 10 hatred/second right now, and I clocked 6 shots of Cluster Arrow in just over 7.5 seconds, and that didn't include using any shots from my hatred generator. I think that the extra amount of attacks you can get in a fight is going to offset the benefit of using Archery in it's place, especially if you're able to get off a few shots with your primary.

Nightstalker has a chance to give you 1 discipline for each critical hit, but I don't think it's worth it. My thought is that this slow attacking build isn't going to get enough critical hits to recoup enough discipline to justify it's place. If you're using Vengeance you get 2 discipline, and 20 hatred per health globe. Couple that with it's +25 max hatred and suddenly Cluster Arrow becomes much more affordable. I have 54 max discipline, and I can get almost 5 casts of Shadow Power off consecutively anyway. With no other Discipline spender, I've even been considering dropping Preparation from my build, but it still saves me once every couple of hours when I run into a difficult elite pack.
