IMO, There are so many terrible items that drop that it isn't even worth taking screen shots of everything that's really bad. However, nothing makes me laugh harder than one that is so close, yet so far from being amazing.
It's hard to give advice if we don't know what build you're currently using. Do you have a socketed weapon with a ruby in it? That always helps a lot at the earlier levels.
I'm with m4st0d0n, you just posted this to show off your gear again
but honestly, it looks like a fun build. Did you consider stun grenades? I guess they might be a bit too difficult to use from range.
I;m after the natalya;s set items as well. I'm just wrestlign with the fact tjhat I have to farm to buy these, and can't simply play the game as normal. Nice work there blizzard....ruins the whole intent of the game kinda...
Blizzard wrecked the game by making it so you have to farm to get items? I honestly haven't heard this opinion yet, do go on...
I would focus on doubling your pre-sharpshooter DPS over increasing your resist all to around 300. Sharpshooter does not give an accurate representation of your true DPS, especially in Act 3 where you are constantly under attack. I suggest farming up in Act I or Act II until you can attain about 60k DPS without the sharpshooter passive. I'm about there and can handle progression Act III, but I am aiming for about 75K DPS before the farming become lucrative.
This has been a big help! I can't believe I'm saying this, but at 43% crit chance, I'm actually going to turn sharpshooter back on... this might be small kick I need to start farming Act 3.
so update for this.. playing my dh only to have a bit change from my barb.. tried out this build, bought a 1h xbow for like 2,5m and some res dex vit gear..
my results so far are very nice, makes really fun clustering and bombing the whole screen whil tanking and just dealing dmg..
my dps is about 25k and im dwing now as well (still in act2 but progressing quests to a3)
will update again if i can hold my speed in a3 and what stats i need for that..
spec: ss(12disc), huntermark(3hatred), caltrops(spikey), companion(3hatred), grenade(poison) cluster(bear), grenadier,wpn master and custom engineering
think they synergize well cuz of the grenadier passive and with huntermark+companion i can spam cluster arrow nearly constantly
for the really heavy situation i got a ss with low disc to escape (but only waller arcane jailer or such thing is heavy with those firebomb-mobs for example.
really much fun i say
next update when im in a3
Cluster Arrow has a terrible damage to hatred cost ratio if you're using hand crossbows. But if you really want to use it, you might find Vengeance to be a better passive, as it will still allow for three Cluster Arrow shots per globe of hatred, and also has the added bonus of health globes giving hatred and discipline. I'm not a tank DH though, so maybe you're finding the extra hatred generation from regular grenades to be worth it? Either way I think with hand crossbows you're wasting hatred and a passive skill slot to use Cluster Arrow. Maybe if you had really good handcross bows with 150%+ crit damage on each it might work, but with only 25k dps, i doubt that is the case.
The 15% bonus from a regular bow is going to be much better than the 50% bonus from a xbow. The faster attack speed means you can move faster after shooting with a bow as well. Once you get into Inferno, and if you find you still like cluster arrow, go for a xbow. At 50 hatred a pop, and a potential ~150k+ damage difference between a low bow crit and a low xbow crit, the difference becomes more important. Personally, I have 38% crit chance and a decent bow and xbow that yield dps within 1k of each other, I switch often depending on how I feel like playing. I also have a second bow with 900 life on hit for reflect damage packs.
Don't down play hungering arrow yet! In Inferno you're going to need a shoot and pray skill to fight ranged mobs off screen, especially Act 2 bugs. Covering Fire can do this as well, but the damage is less.. I often switch between these skills as well, preferring CF for bow and HA for xbow.
Rodvik, your set up has me drooling... did you ever try the full Natalya's set? I'm using it now, but finding it crazy expensive to get my MF up, and keep decent dps. I had an Andariel's Visage much like yours that I sold.. starting to regret that. Do you find that you come into problems with discipline? With that much crit chance, I'm almost surprised to see you're not using Nightstalker. I'd love to make the switch to 1h xbows, but I can't afford it right now.
Guys, attack speed is taken into consideration in the DPS displayed on the weapon, as well as in your character sheet. If you have an xbow that reads out as 30k DPS in your character sheet, its going to do more damage in the same time period than a bow that gives you 28k DPS even though it has a faster attack speed. It's Damage Per Second, a measure of the weapons effectiveness over a given period (second).
