posted a message on [Official] Release Date Speculation Thread
We think it's going to be Monday because EVERY Blizzard release announcement has been made on Monday since the Burning Crusade. Plus it makes since to have it either this coming Monday or Next Monday so it doesn't conflict with the Mists of Pandaria press event on Thursday and Friday. Also given EVERYTHING that has been released in the last two weeks, and the massive release of beta keys, which I didn't get!, means these two dates make the most sense. But it's Blizzard so it could also be sometime in 2013. No, I'm not bitter. Not at all.

There are 548 people heading the government; 438 Congressmen, 100 Senators, 1 President, and 9 Supreme Court Justices. Yet, one guy takes all the flack. There is only so much the President can do when you have a party in power that is doing EVERYTHING they can to stop him from doing anything. Plus, he's helped me. I make less than minimum wage and am NOT on welfare and my tax refunds have been pretty good. Plus he restructured the student loan program which has lowered my monthly payments from $350 to just about nothing. So he gets my vote on that alone. Plus he has renewed much of our standing in the world, got us out of Iraq which was a multi-billion dollar black hole. If everything goes well we will be out of Afghanistan which is another multi-billion dollar black hole. And he's killed more terrorists than you can shake a stick at, including Bin Laden whom Bush Inferior let go. You have no idea the amount of damage Bus and the Republicans did to the economy. There is an economic theory that states that once 40% of the wealth is held by 1% of the population there isn't enough money in the system to keep it running. we were at 38-39%when the crashed happened. And the real problem with the crash wasn't the housing market, it was the fact that there wasn't enough money in the system to keep it running. It will take a good 16 years of Democratic rule to truly fix what the Republicans did because they are just fat, greedy, white men whom only care about money. You are simply uninformed, so you shouldn't speak about that which you no nothing about.

posted a message on New Tweet from Jay :( not good news.
I want them to announce this week too. But whether or not they announce this week, or next week during their press conference on the 15th I believe for WOW, all signs are pointing towards release. They have been releasing keys like mad, opened the beta up to other regions, Jay saying TWICE we are very close to a release announcement, and they DIDN'T debunk the April 17th rumor out right, which they have done every other time a rumor came up. Plus they have an upcoming press conference for WOW which they could use to announce release. This is definitely progress.

Last time I heard about this it removes the Gem safely from the item, meaning neither are harmed.

The Jeweller will allow you to add and remove gems from items for a cost. He will also be used to upgrade gems to a higher level by combining three gems of the same level.

    Skills
    Electrocute
(Lightning) long range, Arcane Power generation
Chain Lightning Skill Rune to increase hits to 7.

    Astral Blades (Arcane) close quarters.
Siphoning Blade Skill Rune for 1 more Arcane Power generation.

    Teleport (physical) Mobility.
Calamity Skill Rune for Wave of Force and physical damage.

    Meteor (Fire) AOE
Meteor Shower Skill Rune for greater area of effect.

Storm Armor (Lightning), Damage All Enemies
Power of the Storm Skill Rune to decrease Arcane Power Cost

    Blizzard (Cold) Big Damage AOE
Unrelenting Storm Skill Rune to increase damage

    Passives
Prodigy So Electrocute and Astral Blades each generate 10 and 11 Arcane Power respectively.

Paralysis Grants 5% chance to stun monsters damaged with Lightning, which will be a lot because of Storm Armor and Electrocute with the Chain Lightning Rune.

Galvanizing Ward To increase Storm Armor's duration from 2 to 4 minutes, and to gain 890 life every second while Storm Armor is on.

    Strategy
Use Storm Armor with Galvanizing ward to constantly deal damage, stun enemies, gain life, and reduce the cost of Arcane Power. Enemies stunned will be increased because of Electrocute with Chain Lightning. Use Electrocute and Astral Blades with Siphoning Blade and Prodigy as the main sources of damage and to gain Arcane Power. Meteor and Blizzard are my area of effect and big damage spells And Teleport is used for mobility with Calamity to keep monsters at bay in combination with Storm Armor and Paralysis. The combination of Skills uses each damage type available to the Wizard to deal with Immunities. With gear and a follower I HOPE to be able to solo in hardcore with this character but wont know for sure until I try it.

posted a message on Diablo 3 an eSports?
Given that PvP is sepearate from PvE I think it would be inteesting if it was balanced for an E-sport. It would be a lot of fun. But they have said in no uncertain terms the will NOT balance it for E-sport because Diablo 3 is not meant to be an e-sport. Now that does not mean that it can't become an E-sport but that wont be kown until the game is released and we see how the PvP goes. I think it would be intersting as it woulb e unlike any E-sport out there. The only one close to it would be DOTA, but it would still be different because Diablo 3 PvP is much faster paced.

posted a message on Jay Wilson - Skill and Rune Changes
I don't know how I feel about this change. I really liked the idea of runes being physical items the way they were in D2. I don't see how these are runes, but just skill enhancements that are a part of the leveling system. I understand what they mean by 3000 runes being over cumbersome, plus changing this to a leveling system will help them save on storage which could mean more stash size later, and that is a good thing.

On the other hand, before the expansion in D2, the only item drops you had were weapons, armor, rings, amulets, potions, quest specific item gems and scrolls. (I'm counting all forms of clothing as armor.) Runes and Charms weren't added to D2 until the expansion. It seems they are reverting back to that, with the addition of recipes, but the game will have FAR more skill customization with skills, skill runes, and the ability to swap them. But this is mitigated by no means to customize atributes; unless and until they implement the Talisman in an expansion. Also it will be nice to have something unlock at every level. But we wont' know how well this truly works until the game is released...whenever that is

With D3 being pushed to Q2 I think it will be released in May or June. They still have a lot of polish to do on the game and Blizzard LOVES to take their sweet time with this stuff. Of course this assumes they don't push it again. But I DO think it will be out this year.
