Thinking maybe frost arrow and change from SS to the 15% damage on snared mobs passive. Frost Arrows travel way to fast to benefit from SS working on all arrows mid air, and snares targets. Hmmm, while I dislike losing DPS, I kinda like others builds being more viable now
I don't even play public games. I have all my old D2 friends, two WoW guilds, a lot of them bought D3, and a meta-guild (multiple games, met them in Rift) to coop with, on my Btag friend list. I BS with them while playing, whether I'm coop with them at the time or not. Game's plenty social for me.
I love how the pubbie game's lack of socialization is supposedly Blizzard's fault, not the fault of the people who treat the others in pubbie games as robots put there for their playing pleasure, rather than as other people. That's the real issue.
Make some friends and play with them...or are you all a bunch of nerds w/o any? I'm definitely an IT geek, but I have tons of friends to play with.

I agree with OP. The new battle.net is a step back/in the wrong direction. Personally, I don't mind is so much myself as many of my friends are playing D3, but I don't see myself making many new friends here.
Also, victim mentality? I didn't really get that from him, just that he is missing some features that made the older games so much more awesome. Just getting randomly assigned to a group of people is not nearly as fun as finding a group yourself. Not to mention less social.

Sometimes I wonder if I am the only one who's really, and I mean REALLY, enjoying the game. It is just about exactly what I anticipated it to be. I really liked the story, I loved the characters, and I am having so much fun running around slaying monsters. Just like I did in Diablo 2.
Sure, the mobs could get smarter instead of one-shotting you. But I'm still having fun (Lots of it) running around like a headless chicken with 3 of my friends trying to overcome Vortex Arcane Jailer + rares.
I think I might be having so much fun because I didn't read so much into the game and lore before I started, and I never expected an MMO endgame. I anticipated Diablo3 being a game with a start and finish, with an option to get geared up with some arbitrary reason (Aside from it being fun that is).
I don't really know where I am going with this, but for every forum post where people vent their anger with things they don't like about the game, there's a guy like me, sitting back and enjoying a game which I have waited for since forever, and most importantly not being disappointed by it. It feels great.
Who would ever want them to do it as an anime? Does not lend well at all to the atmosphere that would be required by a Diablo movie. Even Hellsing and the likes feels odd.
Would probably prefer the style they use in cinematics.

But from what i gathered, no one will play PvP from day one, it's something most people do at the very least after clearing normal mode.
Blizzard pushed PvP back to give the game to us a little early, it will still come, and by then maybe you haven't even reach 60.
So be patient, and please don't generalize every PvE player.
Hehe, I think the major complaint from PvPers isn't that D3 wont be shipping with it, it's more the fact that there is so little support planned for PvP such as ladder, duelling, ganking etc.

Personally I don't mind either or. D3 was never a PvP game for me anyway, I'd much rather play Sc2 or Dota/2 and such. I do think I'll miss the casual duelling part though.
I do foresee that should Blizzard give more support towards the PvP segment that there will be tremendous amounts of tears from both sides about balance and what not. Basically nothing out of the ordinary!

Alright; I was there, during D2's golden age and I have to say people that keep ranting on about how perfect it was and how it made the game are fucking all stoned or something.
D2's PvP WAS NOT THAT MAJOR! It was okay for a couple of months and that was that. I am sorry you feel so butt-hurt over this but all the PvPer's are just being stubborn morons (see I can generalize and insult a massive group just like you can, but I don't need a wall of text to do it).
I have no problem with PvP; it can be fun, but I do have a problem with turning D3 into an Esport, which it isn't and never will be.
Not ONCE and I mean ONCE, in my 10+ years of playing Diablo PvP, did I hear 1 person cry for esports, cry for nerfs, cry for buffs. NOT ONCE, do you kids understand this? This is not WoW, if the developer sucks that bad at making a game that every class has a pro and a con and is not S+++ tier then he needs to be fired.
The reason you didn't hear that whining is that WoW (And such games) wasn't around back then. It's relatively new, and lets face it, Diablo3 is getting the WoW crowd. And the WoW crowd whines. A lot. And what do they whine for? Buffs, nerf, eSports and probably a whole lot more.
More importantly, why do they whine? Because class X raped them in PvP, and that makes them unbalanced.
People didn't whine for balance before, because no one cared (enough). It wasn't _that_ competitive. But now is another story. I feel like Blizzard dug their own grave with WoW arena, because now that everyone knows about it, the people who liked it will want something similar to it, while the people that hate it wont like to have it at all.
I predict this will be a problem for Blizzards future MMOs/RPGs.
Hmm, I doubt you would be PvPing the moment the game comes out anyway. You said it yourself. Your farm farm farm for gear in order to PvP. This generally takes some time, since you're gonna wanna farm inferno gear I suppose. During that "some time", I'm sure Blizzard will have released the PvP patch.

I feel as though people treat the game as a MMO, where you rush through leveling to get to the endgame. For me, that has never been the case with Diablo, I've always just played it for what it is. A game with a beginning and an end, where what really matters is what happens in between, and not after you reach that end.
Guess I'm lucky like that, I don't have to fret about PvP not being in at release, or how "hardcore" the PvE will be. I'll just be strolling about, helping the citizens of Sanctuary fend of yet another demonic invasion. And I'm going to enjoy the hell out of it, probably multiple times.
As for the topic itself, I'd say 3 months or more, knowing Blizzard. And knowing Blizzard, it will be pretty cool when it comes out. You know how it goes: those who wait...
Personally, I dont really care either or if PvP is supported or not in D3. Probably not going to play it anyway. Diablo, to me, has always been about the monster slaying, and that's all I'm really looking for in D3.
In the light of how WoW arena was done (And what a joke it was), I dont think it's very wise of Blizzard to venture out on a new attempt of making an "eSport" segment in a PvE game. Because let's face it, that's what Diablo genre is really about, same as WoW.
Blizzard has proven time and time again with Wow that balancing so many classes and skills doesn't work very well. And with the addition of expansions it's just gonna get more out of hand.
If I want competition in a relatively balanced environment I'll play Sc2 or DotA2.
The occasional skirmish is all in good fun of course, but I don't really see the need for a Arena system in Diablo3. At least it wont be like WoW Arena where you get gear and stuff, it's just going to be for bragging rights in a rock-paper-scissor setting.
