Aug 17, 2011KingCobb posted a message on Inferno RevealedThe max level 85 doesn't include throne of destruction. I think that was just referencing straight D2. I want to say Baal on Hell was higher then 85.... anyway. Venator: The idea behind Inferno is that it is all a flat difficulty. Meaning that Act 1 inferno is just as difficult as Act 4 inferno. I imagine the majority of the difficulty difference between monsters will be the amount of abilities they have. There may be some level variation, but I would imagine Inferno Diablo is probably level 65 absolute max in a solo game. Now depending on how scaling works, he could be level 75 or 80 in a 4 player game...though I doubt it would be that high. While inferno will be hard to solo, I don't have any fears of a level 61 fallen 1 hitting me. seriously at that level, 1 level advantage on a cannon fodder will not suddenly make them a huge threat. Now, a pack/horde of fallen at level 61 would be a much bigger threat, but I think a solo lvl 60 could handle it. A group of Unburied/hundred pounders or the skeleton king surrounded by a bunch of skeletons would be a bit more difficult. But I would imagine still doable.Posted in: News
Otherwise you have the Raid idea from MMOs start up. I can see it now "Need full group for inferno run" messages everywhere. You will be able to solo, it will be hard, and whenever someone joins your game it will scale even harder. -
Aug 17, 2011KingCobb posted a message on Inferno RevealedII would imagine you would have to play through. I still say if the scaling works, you should be able to have a challenge solo or in a group o 2,3,4.Posted in: News

Aug 17, 2011KingCobb posted a message on Inferno RevealedAs long as they stick with the idea of avoiding cheap difficulty i am good. No 4 immunes or iron maiden. I think you will be able to solo hell. Jay has said they want to encourage party play, but not deter those who prefer to solo. I think inferno might require partying to an extent, but I don't think it will be impossible to solo.Posted in: News

Blizzard Quote:
Question: I would like to learn if this one with beta key is from media, press, friends and family or invites already started for all “normal” users.
Blizzard’s Answer: Beta testing is NOT started. I would like to remind you that you should be careful to all the information you receive. With the beta on the edge there are always a lot of thieves around. At this point of time we are getting prepared to start the internal beta testing (employee, friends and family), and for this period keys will not be sent. As soon as we will be able to open the closed beta for all who registered for it at the battle.net we will officially announce it. Invites will go out ONLY after an official announcement.
Where did the Beta downloader screenshot come from?

Question: Where that guy got that screenshots/client downloader?
Blizzard’s Answer: He could get it from anywhere. For years now we are showing out different builds on multiple gaming events, where anyone can try the game out.

It isn't always a duel wield mechanic. It really isn't even meant historically as a dual wield weapon. It was used and designed for fencing or for quick attacks. http://www.thearma.org/essays/SwordandBuckler.htm

As for the graphics, again we don't have a clue what the setting were, or how they have been compressed and saved and everything else that can break down the integrity of the image.
Finally as for the character creation screen-It is better then what we originally had in D2 and far better then what was in the D2 beta. So chill, it will work itself out. This is beta.

Just to reply, that would be a buckler. It is supposed to be strapped to your arm instead of being held as a shield.

Flux: What were Blizzard North’s plans for Diablo III, when you really got started on it back in 2001? What were you expanding from Diablo II, and in what new directions did you want to take the concept and design?
Max: We wanted to make it a bigger game. We were going the MMO route. We wanted to support many more players in the game. When I left the company in 2003 the project was still very early on; far from the point where we could have revealed anything about it publicly, since so much would still have changed. There’s lots and lots that goes in inside game companies that never hits the light of day, since projects change so much in their early iterations. We may have changed our own path radically had we kept going on it.
But at the time our thinking was to go more MMO on it. We wanted to foster big in-game communities. Not just session-based with four or eight people. We wanted more than just 4 or 8 people per game. We wanted a big overworld and a giant shared community.
Flux: You’d have hosted lots of players in the same instance? Or like a perpetual world?
Max: A really big instance. Basically a perpetual world.

If this has been posted before, sorry. Accordning to this, you don't have to identify blue items(magic) just rares and legendary items.
The footage is all broll I believe.
Oh, I had to click on pc on the right to get it to play, hopefully it will do that automatically for ya'll.
Oh and if it isn't french my apologies. that is what I thought it was.
