Bagstone posted a message on Season Journey TrackerPosted in: General DiscussionI made a thing: The Season Journey Tracker!
http://d3resource.com/journey/
Here's what it looks like in action:
Super simple concept - just as you doing the Season Journey click on a task to keep an overview of what you have done and what still needs to be done. The status is saved in a cookie. Pay attention to the in-game popups because you can complete many season journey objectives that aren't even visible yet, so this website might help you to keep an overview.

Skelos_bg posted a message on The Future of DiabloPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionThat is something I warned 10 months ago and insisted the community/developers not to forget D3 - needless to say I got down-voted by the majority of readers. People are so obsessed with the D4 mirage that they forget how quickly it could transform from a "perfect game" to a "p2w nightmare".
Demanding however IS in our capabilities. As a community we can achieve almost anything when we are united and that showed pretty good with the youtube trailers - here on Earth, not the Moon. We can choose some people (like the Red Shirt Hero) to represent the community demands and have a chat with the Diablo team. I am sick of fake CMs who don't deliver our feedback to the developers and the guys in charge. The Diablo community needs people that can be trusted to represent it.
The time to act is now however - every day that passes, in which we are not constructive and don't make our vision of WHAT we want clear is a day of victory for the suit folks.
P.S. We can always find other aRPG games - Torchlight Frontiers invite-only alpha starts in a week from now. That is not the point, however. We all want the best for Diablo and there may not exist a better window for us to change things. It is now or mobile.

VR is the future, just as advanced AI. It is only a matter of time now and when this happens the current cash cow will become a forgotten dinosaur. And when you are FIRST in the field, you print money like there is no tomorrow. "There are three ways to make a living in this business: be first, be smarter, or cheat."
Vr is not the future, it's just a nice feature... when 3D movies came out everyone said it'll be the future, "all games and movies will be 3D" and ofc it didn't happen, same with VR.
As much as I love my 3D movies and games, anything that has the potential chance to make people sick, can never and will never be the future.

Skelos_bg posted a message on The Future of DiabloPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionThey are opening the ceremony with something Diablo related and this is very possibly not D3 DLC or D2 HD. This means:
1) Diablo mobile/console-like spin-off - meanwhile working on D4 and not announcing it
2) D4 - meanwhile working on Diablo World MMO and not announcing it
While D3 DLC and D2 HD are perfectly fine to be announced this year, I don't think they are worthy to open the ceremony since both have a lot less fan base atm than their other franchises. Which then leaves only one very slim possibility for a HUGE D3 expansion pack:
3) D3 expansion - meanwhile working on D4 and not announcing it
This would mean they did NOT scrap the Necro expansion/story, just delayed it to be made more in-depth and to release it with another hero, but we have other evidence already about it (datamined stuff pointing they just scrapped it), so I really don't expect case 3).
Final case is they are really desperate for viewers/attention and they open with:
4) D3 DLC and D2 HD - meanwhile working on D4 and not announcing it
Here are the chances I give atm for these cases:
1) 50%
2) 25%
3) 5%
4) 20%
Which means our D4 hype train went from 100% power to 25%, but is still moving at least.
P.S. "Horadric retreat" sounds very mobile and if it is indeed case 1) the train will finish in the troll town.

MugsyAU posted a message on HOTS event with D3 rewardPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionWell finally! After all the events in Heroes of the Storm that grant rewards for WoW and OW, D3 finally gets something. Here are the details...
It’s a simple task: Play 15 Games with friend in VS AI, QM, Ranked, and Unranked Draft as Heroes from the Diablo Universe. Once the bargain
is struck and the task is complete, you’ll receive the following rewards:
- Heroes of the Storm Rewards: Leoric’s Phantom, 1x Epic Loot Chest
- Diablo III PC Rewards: Ghost Kerrigan Wings
- The event begins during the week of June 13, and lasts until June 26*
http://us.battle.net/heroes/en/blog/20811888/malthael’s-bargain-6-5-2017
As someone who plays HOTS quite a bit, it's a pretty easy task for a pretty cool pair of wings.

Metropolis_Man posted a message on Diablo III is 5 years old today!Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionBeen playing D3 since day 1 - May 15th is my birthday so D3's release date was kind of cool. Still play the very first toon I made, a Barb - I keep rebirthing him in seasons. Very sentimental to him.

We also have the Barbarian in D2, D3 and possibly D4 as well? What would make it strange to have the Necro in it too?

Desperation? How is it desperation?

Necromancers and Trag'Oul:
If Trag'Oul was to come back in his physical form, or even his celestial form it would be a very significant event. It may even increase the power of the Necromancers, assuming their power works off his level of presence. But that's just speculation.
Many have brought forth the point that the Nephalem will become so powerful that they will be fought against by both Angels and Demons, I don't think that would happen. This is due to the fact that it's been mentioned that the Lords of Hell and Prime Evils are barely even able to cooperate with each other (see the Dark Exile) so I don't see them being able to cooperate with the Angels. Although they have been known (Mainly the Prime Evils) to work together so long as they share the same objective.
While I would very much like the idea of Tathamet making an appearance now that the soulstone has been destroyed (releasing all of the Lords and Prime Evils of Hell) I just don't see it to be possible. It's said that Tathamet itself is the sole representation of the Burning Hells itself. His seven heads, the 3 strongest being the Prime Eviles and the 4 Lesser heads being the Lords of Hell, being the essences of hell while his body being the foundations of the Burning Hells.
Now that I think about it, it could be very likely that Tathamet could make an appearance. Trag'Oul would also make a triumphant return with Rathma (hopefully, Rathma was so cool), who would in turn aid the Necromancers with upholding the Balance in the world of Sanctuary. We (the Nephalem) would fight along side the Necromancers to help destroy Tathamet. But of course upon his destruction would be the birth of the Seven Evils again. Because you can never truly kill Evil.
Also keep in mind, if Tathamet is destroyed, the Balance of Sanctuary would be returned to it's original/balanced state.
Skovos Isles:
There's only so much we know about the Skovos Isles;
I could go on some more about Imperious but I'm pretty tired, and I have to study for an exam in 3 days.
