Thornagol posted a message on Act 5 just sucks, sorry blizz1. I think act V does it's job well in telling the story of the game, so I don't think that the maps suck.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
2. The monsters are no more annoying to me than those in Act IV.
3. Grift density is a bug that they are looking into addressing. -

I don't necessarily agree with the guy you were talking to, but I will make the following point...Quote from DuchaAre they really? Or are you just that ignorant that you actively refuse to listen to any kind of reasoning that people are providing?
When they announced BoA Josh was pretty headstrong about how killing monsters should be the most rewarding way to play the game. Therefore, if he really meant that, it follows that principle should guide the entire game design. People leveling by specifically NOT killing monsters, but completing bounties on difficulties way too high for them, just because that's the best XP available rather breaks that general philosophy.
Now, as I said before, I don't really give two rats asses anymore... but being as this was brought up during the beta and they didn't address it, I am slightly irked because it feels like something that should have been fixed to be in-line with their previous stance on how we (generally speaking) should be playing the game was left unaddressed so they could rush the patch to us. That just doesn't sit well with me.
As for the people using the "exploit" I really could care less. I just want some consistency from the developers and I want them to stop bending to deadlines. This patch, more than any other, has felt like it was more based on some deadline from the higher-ups than the previous "It's ready when it's ready" that we'd gotten used to. And that irritates me. -

Yeah I agree with this. To be honest it seems people want Blizzard to force everyone down to their level. It's like if they capped APM on Starcraft to 20 so everyone plays at the same level, it's ridiculous. Then people would complain they can't reach 20 APM.Quote from SeifaThere is a reason why there isn't a leveling leaderboard. If you were serious about season, you would have leveled as the competitors did but instead you were left behind, maybe because you didn't know about it?
This reminds me when a World First Kill occurred in World of Warcraft, a bunch of players screaming at Blizzard because it happened too fast, too easy or whatever while they aren't even trying to get on top of the chart. Why - Do - You - Care? If you aren't into racing, play the game as you wish.
Everyone had access to the methods the top 1000 did but chose a different path. The same exact thing happened every season in D2, top players will exploit any little thing to gain an advantage. This is how anything competitive works. If it isn't a high reward bounty it'll be something else to complain about. -

VegasRage posted a message on Good going Blizzard.I think people take the game too seriously, after a long day I just like to play a game where I can escape into a world of fantasy and completely unplug from reality for an hour or two or occasionally three.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion -

achan1058@hotmail.com posted a message on Good going Blizzard.Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionThere is no point with this debate. We went through the same argument several months before, and the conclusion is that real competitive players have a rather different standards than "competitive" players who sets up arbitrary rules and call anyone who don't follow those imaginary rules to be cheating. As in any competitive (e-)sport, anything tournament legal is not cheating. Blizzard obviously found things people called "exploits" legal, so it is not cheating, end of story.
P.S. Even if Blizzard fixed all those "exploits", none of you here who call others cheating will have any shot at the leader board what-so-ever. Serious runner will simply find other efficient methods. Your mentality prevents you from doing the same, and goes with it your chance of glory. I know it sounds harsh, but that's the reality.

Fitsu posted a message on Good going Blizzard. So, your surprised that when competing for world firsts people aren't using 100% legit means?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
When all the world firsts are soaked up, people have got over there "fresh start" and they realize playing season is no different to non-season (bar a few season-only legs) they will all just go back to non-season because they have more paragon/gear there.
I mean seriously, give me one reason to play season after the first week when your paragon ~100 and have badly rolled versions of your sets. Competition on ladder? I would rather do it on non-season because at-least there my gear isn't miles behind people they are playing 12hrs a day. -

insanetrasher posted a message on Good going Blizzard. In fact they are pretty wise, because they know how shitty the campaign is and that nobody/few players would want to go over that again another time.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
If adventure mode wouldn't be open I wouldn't even dare to play seasons.. and I'm sure most players would agree. -

Unless I have one of those days where I just create a game for a key run, Run into first pack, has really shit affix combo, try to kill them, can't so I end up skipping them, run into another pack with a just as bad affix combo, do the same, then run into another pack with another horrid affix combo. At that point I'm just like "NOPE" and leave and go do something else

I used to play WoW but it was too time demanding in relation to being able to do what you want. I find Diablo to be a laid back sort of play style (if you choose it to be) which is just perfect for me. Plus I've loved Diablo since the first one.
