Warning: I didn't read this thread, I am simply posting my opinion.
I think it's a good move by blizzard, in Diablo 2, we had alot of spells. However, I still only stuck to 2-3 skills anyways despite this fact. I'm glad they are going with less actives and more passives, it will make it so much easier to balance the game if they do this.
And not only that, you can customize the 2-3 spells you would use(if they had more actives or not) in more ways then simply having more actives.
Why is this even being debated, they already confirmed a healer will not be in D3 and they don't have any intentions of ever having to rely on healing in the diablo series.
Just a warning for now, March 15th, 18th and 19th I have school in the mornings for 3 hours..
It will be from 7 AM to 12 PM PST for those 3 days.(Around)
So on those 3 days only, I can play for an hour(assuming we go with the 9 AM EST) then I have to leave for awhile, then I come back for the rest of the day.
Aside from those hours on those 3 days, I'm good for anytime.
So going into more details, I'm assuming this will be a softcore thing.. Are we only doing normal mode for the sake of beating it? Or are we doing more difficulties?
Also, What times during the day can we expect? AM? PM? etc
Since your a paid gamer, do you have time to play DII? I mean, if it's your job playing computer games for money. Why would you play even more computer games for no money? I wouldn't want to play any more games in my free time if my job was playing computer games
Take that term lightly, I'm not as hardcore as signing contracts as some of those korean starcraft gamers are. lol
I meant more like winning tournaments and have sponsors who will take me to LAN's in other states to win more tournaments in certain games.
Nothing overly serious.
I play games for fun, not for a living, That stuff is just a bonus and obviously is pretty irrelevant to games like diablo.
Also, aside from college(which honestly doesn't take up that much time for me), I don't do anything else.
Ladder/Non-ladder: Either.. I'm looking to start a new character, anyone wanna play through with me?(old fashioned way)
Mode: SC or HC, I don't mind either.. I like both PvP and PvM.
Realm: Either, preferebly west.
Playing times: 24/8
and a little about myself.. There isn't much, I'm what you call a "pro" gamer, I get sponsored and paid to play in some games, but I'm not an elitist.
I'm not the most exciting person, but I'm a good leader and know when to put my foot down.. I honestly don't have that much of a sense of humor, but I'm friendly when you get to know me. At first I seem like a dick if you take me too seriously though.
P.S. To save you the trouble, all my accounts(including my bnet one) is Rawrior.
Edit: I should clarify that just because I said I'm a good leader, that doesn't mean I'm looking for a leadership position. I was just putting that out there.
I hope they have some sort of battlegrounds or arena for D3 though.
Edit #2: Also, my account is fairly new, but I'm more of a lurker. I've been reading things from this site for years. I simply just don't post that much.
Well, I play HoN(Heroes of Newerth) and it has voice support and HoN is a spawn from dota, arguably one of the most immature competitive rage-filled community of all games and the public games aren't too bad with mics on, only sometimes.
There is a part in this gameplay video of the monk/wizard/barb in co-op where the wizard uses her slow time and the monk spends a little time fighting in it.(leaving it though to kill the baddies out of range.)

I have my own clan already in Heroes of newerth and I want to set it up as a branch off that, since I have many people in there who will play D3.
