I am likely to delete all the characters when ladder starts and then again when the next season starts.
Fair enough man, I get that-hell I even admire it. I still haven't decided if I'm going to buy in to seasons or not. I'm not sure the incentive is there for me personally. My playtime can be pretty limited, so the notion of trying to establish a new character(s) every few months seems unlikely. If participation in Seasons gave rewards to my account (IE provided non-seasonal characters with minor buffs or something once your seasonal character hits 70 or something) I might consider it. I don't know.

I brought this issue up in another thread when they announced it.. I don't think blizz thought this through all the way... or maybe they did and just still don't give a shit if you waste your time....
To Kolbold: I am not in it for the seasons but more for the fresh restarts. I love creating new characters and since everything is shared it destroys creating new characters and I also hate paragon levels.

To Larry: I think they did think it through and still are looking into it. All games are a waste of time unless you are having fun playing. Ladders is not for everyone

"What do you think is the real problem on D3 and why people just get bored in about 2-3 months after expansions or patchs?"

People get bored because they exploit the game to death, or have the wrong (mmo) expectations of an ARPG like Diablo 3.

The biggest problem is all the players who look for things to dislike rather than enjoying a game for just what it is.

(There was never this kind of whine in the Diablo 2 communities.)
I guess you were never at the main forums for Diablo II at launch back in 2000. They whined about everything. You nerfed Corpse Explosion, You nerfed WW. You nerfed this build and now I have to start a new character. You nerfed gambling. Those are just a small sample of the whining back then in the early 2000's.

I agree with Ruksak the game needs difficult areas and challenges.

If I was designing the game no one would be able to do T1 yet.
No one? You know there are people who really have BiS gear with close to perfect rolls. How would one advance into torment then? And 6 levels of it..
That's the problem BiS gear. This expansion is only out for a couple of months and almost everyone is steam rolling T1 or higher even if you only got the character to max level for the first time.

Another issue I have is with the BiS. If I designed the game there would be none. Any item could fill that slot depending on the stats you need, even Magic can be an option for that slot. Legendaries would not be dominant and in a lot of ways they are just flavor items or filler items. Crafting and enchantments are the way to advance. Also there would be more items that are dropped and can be further enhanced. Skill runes could be dropped and placed in your skill slot to further enhance the skill. Magic, Rare, Legendaries, and Crafted Jewels. All items can have sockets and more of them. There would be a recipe that can add them to the item. Sadly Critical Hit Damage will be removed as a modifier and will be only set at a base value of 150% damage when a Critical Hit is registered.

Each Item dropped or made will have a certain amount of enchantment room available. Yes even level item 1 gear could be enhanced to a point to where it could be usable at level 70 and in Torment levels if you take the time and effort to enhance the item. It would take a long, long, long time to do as well as cost a fortune to do as well as finding the components to do so.

Right now 99.999% of the drops are for the most part just vendor or salvage junk and only a small handful of items are being looked at and used especially for the later torment levels. That makes the item hunt quite boring for me. Part of it for me is also trying to see if I can make an item better and the way the Mystic is used does not really work that well.

I think Torment 6 would only have a handful of players doing it and maybe even completing it. There would be no achievement for it or for any of the Torment levels. Did I mention the drop rates would be worse for each setting of Torment. Torment 6 would have hardly anything dropping. T6 would not be for farming but for the challenge.

posted a message on Microtransactions: What would you pay for?
Hell no to any Microtransactions. All it leads to is getting less bang for your buck. Since all they are going to do is make you pay extra for this and extra for that and then a year later it all adds up to a lot of cash.

T6 should be difficult for solo play as well.

If you are getting one shotted then you are not geared for that difficulty. Tone it done or change some gear and skills around. T6 should never be a cake walk and should always have a challenge even from the trash mobs. Farming should be done at the lower torments.

We did read your post. Some of us want the game to be almost impossible for T6 even with best gear.

    I believe it is fine.

The couple of days I played last week had some of my best drops and I had maybe a few more than during the buff week.

The thing is that it is random and sometimes you get the streaks where nothing seems to be dropping and then the other times the legendaries drop like hot cakes.

posted a message on Brining back charms?
There are ways to deal with inventory. Some creative mod makers for Diablo 2 added recipes to store all the gems in a single can and then use the cube to cycle through the gem types and use a can opener to open the can and take out that gem. The can opener can be changed in the cube to take out different qualities of a gem.

Likewise they made rune storage spaces and a method to re-roll magic or rare items and other things.

Another mod created a Magic Collector. You transmuted crappy items into it and it collects various amounts of points based on the value of the item and then you can use the cube with x amount of collectors with x amount of points and redeem an item you want.

posted a message on I'm concerned about seasons.
I think ladders should just be on a separate realm. No transfer of gear or characters to other realms.

I would open up quite a few different Ladder Realms and have one starting up maybe once a month. A ladder could be open for 1 month to maybe a full year. The short ones will be more of races. The long ones will be more about getting Paragons and or collecting all the special loot and legendaries.

I would have seasons that only focused on only using crafted gear. That means you have to make the gear and the only drops and things to purchase would be crafting components.

I would call the Ladder Realms Tournaments and they should be named after the theme of the tournament.

I would even up some designs of the Tournament to the puplic
