    The only time I was blocked in any form was in Act 3 town playing a Barbarian and a Necromancer with Skeletons blocked me. During earlier versions of D2 you could not move past a summon. I remember the player being an SOB about the issue as well. I had to save and exit.

    Which Hireling are you using?

    Rabies and Fire Claws can be used to help kill Physical Immunes. If I remember correctly they will not do too much damage if you do not invest in them but it may do enough damage to help your hireling to kill them.

    Getting charms that do elemental damage will also help with taking the life down.

    Open Wounds can help with killing monsters since when it is activated it will drain the life of the monster for 8 seconds.

    It does not effect anything.

    The Random Number God effects what you get.

    As far as I know the magic find on the player that did the killing blow would be used on the calculation. I have only been playing mods (SP) since 2003. I have not played any LoD patch higher than 1.10.

    Magic Find uses a diminishing return formula for finding any magic item above magic. The diminishing returns start hitting hard for the uniques around 200 MF.

    I am from Canada as well.

    I am the wrong person to talk about vanilla D2 since I have only been playing mods since 2003.

    I would choose a character that you would like to play and just have fun with that character. If you make mistakes that is fine. You learn more from your mistakes and it will help you build stronger characters in the future.

    I play only Single Player. My internet connection is not the best and sometimes goes offline.

    Plus I have modified Eastern Sun files to make it easier for me to test the upper limits of Supermaxing d-stoning/gem melds on runeword items. I have permission from the Moderator of the ES Forum at the Wiki. Perfect Cell the mod maker is now back as the mod maker but it is likely going to be some time before a new version will be released.

    The Players 8 setting right now is the old players 16 setting. To get any players setting above 8 would require code editing or using a plugin that does the code edit for you. As of right now if it was set to players 16 many monsters would have life roll overs and it would make the mod to easy.

    Eastern Sun is definitely worth a try. I have been playing it since 2006. It is one of my favorite mods for D2 :).
