Do you all remember when people joked after the 1 month delay(we were in May 2009 then), that Blizz was speaking of April 2010 and not April 2009 release?
Just a little more than a couple of months now and you will see how the joke became true.

The lighting effects and shadows needed to display different times of the day take a greater amount of work and processing and it only adds a subtle change to the environment compared to the other mentioned items.
The reason why I think night/day cycles will be more significant in D3 as for gameplay...
Hey, abt these day/night cycles present in D2? WTF!?!?!
I always thought it was my monitor that was giving up on me or something......
These day/night transitions must have been really subtle.
If something like what occurred during the tainted sun quest in act 2 happened, i would have understood...but this...hmmmm....
I noticed the rain, the scorpions...rats...birds...
Night and day...wow...never took notice. So weird. Must buy a new computer. -

I would say it's actually meant to bring something quite significant to gameplay if they bothered implementing night/day cycles.
Add unique monster spawns for specific time(either night or day) and you get yourself a whole new feel that not only relies on visuals and scenery but also fighting different monsters.
I don't know much about that orange talk....but I want an orange orange...or maybe a blue one...idk... -
Dec 13, 2009Nekrodrac posted a message on Community Spotlight - Chapter IIISeeing as the most voted suggestion was the most stand out post, I think you are limiting yourself by choosing a single user.Posted in: News
With the number of posts per day and general activity of members, I think a top five(or choose you convenient number) list is in order.
If I understand correctly the purpose of this spotlight, a top five list will be more appreciated than a user being singled out. That said, Turmobil's post would definitely have been top.:)
And since it is obvious that you(or anyone for that matter) cannot read all posts, if mods could participate in it, it would be cool. It concerns the whole community after all.
Anyway suggestions, suggestions and suggestions these are in the end.
Just discard if of no use.^_^ -

lol. I kind of understand how you feel.
Working for a fucking A in the exams and when results come, you get a C.
More than half a year wait culminating to this patch is just sad.
Anyway I'll just reassure myself that the team working on the patch had a lot of other things to do...like eating KFC...playing streetfighter...fixing wow patch...
So they didn't actually really get all that much time to work on the patch and now we end up with this crap.:(
I can't help it. Am so fucking disappointed. I love that game too much. Fuck. -

Dude, don't say such stuff. Seriously.

Quite a few 'soon's mentioned but that must be something like a new trendy(or irritating?) blizz speaking style.
Was a bit disappointed by the answer to the second question. I was really looking forward to the class specific quests and if the latter were present and randomized as well, it would have added tons of replayability value.
I really can't see how it will affect the fast-paced action at all. Taking a quest adds story background and improves game-immersion quality. Its not like we'll be hacking like crazy all the time.
The solution he proposed is about different interactions for different characters. Thats just the same as D2. Nothing inventive. Nothing original.
I hope they are still discussing it in the sense that they might still include class-specific quests.. -

But, to me, Bashiok's statements have come to represent Blizzards attitude as a whole when it comes to Diablo fans. I was reading through Bashiok's posts in the Blizz Tracker section
I can't imagine Bashiok meeting up with Leonidas. There wld have been serious trouble.
THIS IS SPARTA! -

Most fans are upset. I think we have good reason to be so, in all reality. We just need to make sure we don't become animals in the process.
Yet animals we are... Nice(maybe not) warm-blooded mammals...Civilised ones(hopefully)... - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Also great pics, Trombone. Don't think much of your vids but your pics are very impressive. You have a keen eye with an artistic sense/twist if I may say so.
Sleepy time. Night suckers.
