After you defeat the last boss on the last difficulty, you could unlock a 'bounty hunting mode'.
It would make sense too that some sneaky little demons escaped and are still messing around in Sanctuary and their heads could be up for a bounty by the different NPCs in the different acts.
There should also be some nice stories/additional lore tied to them to get the full package.

Sadly, this involved several shameful sexual acts in the janitors closet at Blizzard, and a couple of runs to Burger King. I took one for the team, and you should be thanking me.
Hmmm...
Your courage makes us proud Zhar.
I would give you a cookie but you are allergic to them. So I'll give you +rep instead. -

I think I'm finally gonna write that Diablo fanfic I've always had in my head.
"Thrust into the demon he did. Oh so deeper, and more. With a sword."
The 'with a sword' part ruined it.
Here's what to do.

I hate demons, AHUM I mean vans. But you know what I don't hate? I don't hate vests.
Also why a vomit attack, when one zombie spots a hero can't they all go like BRAINZZ and group attack you without some zombie vomiting all over you.
The vomit would also be easier to avoid for ranged classes.
In the case that vomit is a skill for the zombies, it should totally make the hero disgusted and puke all over himself and the ground: making it slippery. Then when he moves, he would fall face down into his and the zombies puke.
This would make the hero puke even more, the zombies that gathered around him will be like: EEEWWW and puke all over the hero. Drowning the hero.
Instant kill.
This in-depth analysis convinced me puking shouldn't be a skill....even for zombies.
They'll probably get demons to fart on you next.
Now that I think of it, that could be a wicked skill... -
Jul 4, 2010Nekrodrac posted a message on Diablo, featuring Leopard PrintI am more thinking along the line of armor sets here.Posted in: News
Like Spider/snake set could be more oriented towards poison damage and pushing the boundaries your poison skills.
Lion could be for greatly enhancing melee damage...etc...etc... The name of the set itself would without doubt be made fancier with prefixes or suffixes but that's not really relevant.
Anyway ya, I can't help but think this will go way further than mere aesthetics. -

Quite a few decent writers here if I may say so.
Oh well, good luck to anybody here participating.

I think they will implement it however, because it is FUN and that's what a game should be. Plus it offers you NEW strategy. Obviously you won't be getting the uber skill of another char (they will have learned from D2) and that is why the char will KEEP their uniqueness. If you think like 1-3 skills define the uniqueness of a char, you are being sadly narrow-minded about it.
The unique argument is lame as far as I am concerned. It's all about proper balancing to me.
For me the idea of runewords is so iffy; Blizzard is going to have to be extremely careful about what they give. I think movement skills (such as teleport) should be not be shared, regardless of how they have been changed in D3. I would have been overall fine with runewords in D2 if it wasn't for that damned Enigma. That item is the sole reason I swore off PvPing. As to your point about 1-3 skills defining the uniqueness of a character...again, that really depends on the spell. Teleport (an example that will always be brought up) was, in my opinion, a skill that really helped define the sorceress class. Because the skills in D2 were almost all just various forms of dps (often AoE), teleport was a bit one that really set the class apart. You can disagree with me all you want, but no one could ever dissuade me from that way of thinking. The moment Enigma was put into the equation, anyone using that just felt like some weird variation of a sorceress.
My concluding point? Would I eventually like to see runewords? Sure, but they will have to be really damn careful about what skills they give out.
Enigma problem? Pretty simple. Charges.
And also I play mainly SP.
I use teleport charges from staves.
And yes teleport was fun and added a lot to gamplay.
I also played the sorc.
No my necro didn't feel like a sorc.
So I guess it's pretty much our experiences of the gameplay here governing our opinions. -
Jun 23, 2010Nekrodrac posted a message on No ENIGMA for D3...and allowed the rest of world to have some fun too.Posted in: News
Playing a lot as a summoner necro I found teleport unbelievably useful. It allowed me to gather my army in a flash and reorganize the attack.
But teleport in D2 won't be teleport in D3, so I have no idea why you are actually making the comparison.
The only reason why I am happy chars won't access others skills is because it will take time to do more balancing which will delay development time. I don't want to see the game in 2015.

Jun 23, 2010Nekrodrac posted a message on No ENIGMA for D3That's a relief really. Imagine- if they had to include all the fun stuff right from the beginning... The game would probably take another decade of development, however easy they might pretend its implementation will be.Posted in: News

Jun 22, 2010Nekrodrac posted a message on Is the Lack of News our Fault?I remember watching a TV show where they were carrying on that experiment. It was supposed to test the rat's intelligence or something i think.
Funny, don't you think?
I heard there's going to be hugeass piece of cheese at blizzcon. Is it possible for us to wait, maybe? Anyway I'm going for the big cheese really. They'll just distribute it freely too. -

In any case, we are in no relationship with blizz at all. They give some news, respond when they feel like it and make fun of some people. They can afford to do so because it would seem they are confident they are working towards a very high quality product. That is the only reason I could find. It's true it would have been better if they announced D3 a little later, closer to a beta where fans could have actually really helped in polishing the game, but it wasn't so. We are mere spectators for now, on a show that doesn't care how many viewers it's getting.
What can I say...? Sit tight and bear with it all. Just remember, in the end it remains just a game. Could be a sublime one but doesn't change that it will be just that. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

We have a dfans user who did a let's play of Amnesia. Airandius is his name.
You should check it out. It's pretty fun.
I love ghost/spooky stories. They are fun. We need to share our most frightening memories right now.
Mine is when I got lost in a field at night. The plants were over 2m tall, so I couldn't see past much or know which roads led where. I was so disoriented and tired at that time. And there were a few tombs here and there. Kind of an old tradition thing(where I lived) to bury your family members in fields you own. The reason was that their spirit would guard the land and stuff like that.
Anyway at one point there was that sudden wind that started blowing when i got to the foot of a hill with a tombstone near and i just got that irrational fear not to climb on top to see where I was. In my mind it was something like- anything would easily spot you if you go up there. LOL.
Talk about being seriously stupid.
Now in hindsight, I think all of it was pretty awesome.
I need sleep now.
Edit- I forgot about the witchcraft stuff that was scattered all over the place. Animals sacrifices and shit. It was really atmospheric. Set the mood well. haha.

I've seen some really great players with Man U however. They must have some special custom tactics that I'm still not getting the hang of.
Dammit.

I do have preferences though and it all goes down according to personality to me. If she's annoying(aka intellectually dishonest, whiny and excessively self-centered), I'll overlook ALL physical features and just dislike her. Personality traits rank so high in my appreciation of other people that I will get turned off if she turns out to be someone i don't like. And that's coming from a guy who religiously masturbates at least twice a day during no-sex days.
@Succubus- Hope everything turns out well for her and the family.

Women tend to make vampires into that sex-fantasy ridiculous bullshit that mostly teenage girls will respond to.
In any case, from the reviews about the movie and books on the hunger games, I gather it can't be that bad. I find the story concept itself rather intriguing, so that's a good a reason as any to pick up the books.
Child actors usually fail on a major scale, so the movie is a last resort thing and I will only touch it if the books are good.

I saw a horse once. They threw it into the sea and we watched sharks tear it to pieces and eat it.
It was awesome.
I also aced my exams. Tits!

How do you do that!?!?!
How is it possible you look different on every single pic you've posted?
I'm scared of you now.

How come? Did you have re-testing to do and you finished compiling the first data set?
I would hate to do a study with pre and post testing. Unless participants are able to perceive benefits very strongly, drop rates usually tend to be quite high.
You should prepare some cookies as a lure.
Edit- @Trannsvaal: It's funny because I actually see your name itself as a typo. Must be the double consonants and double vowels. It looks kind of wrong. Original though and sounds nice, but reads badly.
Same could be said about my username actually.

Shock victory as in-

A dramatic late winner?
An awesome comeback?
A combination of these?
And what were the champions 'raining' on you?:P

I think the used car analogy has already been mentioned as well and which I think sums up the situation very nicely. The lobbying within the entertainment industry have stepped up their game these last years.
However most of their so-called 'protective measures' seem to be motivated by extreme short-sightedness and greed.
They are completely overlooking the free advertising they are getting through 'easy/discounted availability' of their products.
I think it is difficult to argue against this case all the same, because while an estimate of lost sales through the 2nd hand games retail business can be easily(?) made, the same cannot be done of the advertisement value benefited by company/team behind the game.
That's why I like referring to games that are currently being funded by fans. This is a testament to the real nature of what they mean to us.
It's not a you-entertain-me-I-give-you-money one. It's a connection the creator of the game tries to form with the players. A story they wanted to share with you. An adventure they wanted you to take part in. Games, music, paintings are all forms of art and creativity that seeks to form that bond between the creator and the experimenter/viewer/consumer.
This is how one becomes a fan. Why one likes talking about their favorite games/music and why they in turn want to share it with the rest of the world. And what makes them want to spend money on the product(or future ones).
And there are also so many genres that would have remained unknown if it wasn't for that easy access to it for many individuals. Especially ones which don't have that immediate draw and can only be fully appreciated through actually experimenting it.
With all that said, there are two components to the entertainment industry- the financial/publisher part and the creative(artists/game developers) one.
These measures are seeing the day because the financial department has become so disjointed from the product-creation and public relation aspect, that decisions are being made to maximize profits without a complete understanding of the process.
Even then though, commercial success is understandably among one of the objectives for companies. I just don't think they are going the right way about it.
