Even if the bonus for killing the monster is +5 hp, I'd do it all week.

That's the thing.. You wouldn't be able to redo the quest. I think it would be better that way, otherwise it'll just start a grindfest of side-quests. Or maybe you could redo them after a month or something, a little like WoW's daily quests but over a larger period of time. For sure the reward can't be the same the second, third, fourth.. tenth time you've completed it.. the prize should be less, except if the monster gets alot harder to kill.

I dunno I like this idea alot.. I can see it now..(..*fading into daydream*...)..

    Skullbasher523: Yo sup Steve ?
Doctor_Pain091: Nm, just doing my SD("Search and Destroy")quest you ?
Skullbasher523: Nice! I need that quest to, wanna do it together?
    Doctor_Pain091: Sure :D join game sdquest888////888

(..*Snaps back* ..)... Yup would be awesome.. people could help each other out n shit. Would be a great quest for Co-Op.

Not only that but I think it would give a little more gameplay(even tho it would not give to the people that only play single player), but maybe give "extra quest" in multiplayer that woulden't be in single player sorta like a "daily quest" in wow but different.(who knows maybe it would get more people on or get people that never played multiplayer to get on and maybe get even more hooked :)).

    Quote from italofoca

    Quote from Airandius

Torchlight is simply a D2 clone with added elements of other games (mainly WoW).

The way these features developed is:

    Diablo 1 -> Diablo 2 -> WoW (D2+Wc3 in a giant blender) -> D3
Diablo 3 has elements of both WoW and Diablo 2. (Don't mistake my poor example and think that there is wc3 in d3, there is not.)
Torchlight has elements of both WoW and Diablo 2.

how the hell is wow a "d2+wc3 giant blender" when it's most important features never showed up in none of those games ?
WoW is a "western mmo giant blender" with tons of inovation in network and service areas. D2 has close to none relevance to WoW despite what blizzard tries to say to please the diablo crowd.

That is false wow took alot of things from diablo and diablo 2 and implimented them into the game so really alot of blizzard games are ethier A. Star craft or B. diablo. almost every game they make they take something from thoses two games. plain and simple :)

posted a message on Smarter Enemy AI
    Quote from Ophion

Yes, all classes are dps and designed to be able to solo enemies in single player. As long as the AI isn't overly clever. The AI actually doesn't have to be clever at all, only different to create unique battles. Flayers surrounds all enemies, Fallens (imps) attack as a wall, etc. Different AI creates different challenges. Bashiok mentioned the teleporting champion monster that was extremely difficult for certain melee builds to handle, but is no challenge for the nuking Wizard.
agreed, Also jay wilson said him self in video that the AI cant be to smart because then it dosent work right. He said thats one thing they figured out that the more simpiler the monster have alot of different ones but all doing something different (like diablo 2) thats why they want SOOO many types and different monsters they all do 1-2 maybe 3 things but there are 5 different monsters in one group and all doing something different (exp 5 different monsters with 3 different skills/attacks meaning 15 differnt skills/attacks just in one little group). But yes I do want them a little smarter to make things harder :)

RAM = Random-Access Memory, interm any program you want to run on your computer takes a certian amount of ram. If you have 3 different windows up with 2 different games then yes you need lots of ram. Having enough ram is just as important as your motherboard/cpu/video card. The main things you need to have a decent computer running things at a decent FPS(frames per second) and not have a ram/cpu lag (not a internet lag) then you need a good cpu/motherboard and a effecient amount of ram as well. If you are any type of gamer what so ever on the computer ram is just as important as everything else that you need to run a good computer with high end graphics (even ones that arent demanding but take the graphics settings up/down). You dont want any game no matter the graphics it has, taking down graphics because you only have 1gb of ram is still lower graphics then someone who would be running them on the highest setting possible even if its a low end graphics game (like D3).

Because you need to pay buckets of money for a piece of crap software that is not actually needed and has minimal improvements if not is actually worse compared to older versions.

Did you knew that they are making a Windows 8 already? It's key point if for business but they will tweak it a bit and release it for general public. And you will need to buy it yada yada.
I don't play that game, I just use the OS the pc I bought came with.
he said it all...id rather pay 200 bucks or more to upgrade my computer then to spend on a program that i can get at half price in a year anyways...with less bugs in it overall too....but W7 is a good program better then vista i can tell u that(gaming wise vista hade a VERY big problem with games) a friend had it and had to waste about a hour of his time to make just diablo 2 work right on there. (hes a computer geek too so he knew what he was doing).

On that note forums are kinda dead arent they?
anyone got new juicy info at all? besides the vomit and that(old news now LOL)

In my opnion dialogs should be elaborated, but not something the player must invest time unto.
It would just slow down and take you out of the core.
Not only this, it was said but I wanted to say it agin I dont have the source (lazy). They said that it takes you away from the action and thats not diablo, thats why they are impliminting new systems like (no tp/ slow cooldown like tp). They want you in the action hacking and slashing.

ps i liked the idea tho...

posted a message on Spiders, and more spiders
    Quote from Ivaron

    Quote from CreatorJoshua

The vipers were a video game version of a snake. Snakes alone aren't very menacing, they can slither around and bite people. When the diablo team implemented snakes into the game they had to think of something to make them more powerful and dangerous so they added arms for extra abilities. People could just put normal snakes in games but snakes just aren't that scary in video games compared to big eight-legged vicious venom spitting spiders, or some minotaur guys.
There are plenty of giant rats and giant spiders in video games, while there's no such thing in real life. There IS actually a giant snake species in real life, the anaconda. Why not have us fight those? They would definately be dangerous.

And snakes are more venomous than spiders.

Also, snakes can be dangerous without being tough enemies. It depends on how dangerous poison is in the game. The snake picture I linked earlier is from Might and Magic 6, where snakes could seriously hurt you with their poison, halving your maximum hit points and spell points (=mana) while under it's effects, as well as lowering your strength, endurance, accuracy and speed statistics. Not to mention poison doesn't cure itself, and even grows steadily worse the longer it takes you to cure it until your character simply dies.

Of course, spiders, snakes, bats and rats are enemies you meet early in a game. They're not as *powerful* as minotaurs. But they can certainly be just as *dangerous*.
Ok well this whole thing.... ok dont you remember trying to kill Nath the necro in Act 5 the anoying snakes hitting you for like half dmg sometimes?...smiting you they messed you up and your merc. The thing is one you dont like spiders they know alot of people out there hate spiders my roommate cant stand them so much that he has made me not a fan of them. Thats the point your not gonna kill things that you like? you want ps3s xbox 360s and high performance comptuers as the enemy? and smash them no. You should be hhappy they give you spiders if you dont like them your gonna smash them via axe, magic, hand ect ect. to me even andy final boss in Act 1 kinda represented a spider a little bit no big worms or snkaes tho just alot of the annoying little ones in act 2 and act 5. Ethier way lots of monsters to smash and slash and watch them die in all sorts of ways and not only that see how many ways I can die from big bosses so exciteing to experiance the game as a whole Ill be spending hours just seeing what enviroment stuff I can smash up EXCITING.

posted a message on what will blizzcon bring?
    Quote from AcidReign

I think this BlizzCon will be more focused around Diablo III and WoW:Cataclysm. StarCraft II will already be out and in the hands of the gamers, so people are going to want to find out more about the other Blizzard games in progress. Maybe even some details on StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm.

I felt that the last couple BlizzCons were pretty boring for Diablo fans. "Here's a character panel, here's how we make levels and monsters. Now for the Q&A!"

And the Q&A's are always worthless to listen to because everyone asks the same questions, or questions that could be answered by anyone that is even slightly familiar with Diablo III. That's probably what upset me the most about the last BlizzCon.

Last year, StarCraft II got MEGALOADS of attention and media, and I assume that was because it was closer to launch than Diablo III, so hopefully this year, it's the other way around. I'll keep my fingers crossed, but I know how that's treated me in the last 4 years after registering here...

Couldent agree more with you and everyone has the same idea...But thats what we want which means they will give us less I am hoping as much as you guys about the whole giving a MAIN focus in this years blizzcon

Ok I know that they will announce the 5th and final class at this years blizzcon (i tried to go but dident get tickets :( ) but will that be it? Will it be like last years blizzcon where really only thing they talked about is the monk and thats it? Or will they give us some more juicy news other then the 5th class which most of us know what it will be anyways(ranger/hunter something ranged from DnD).
