mmmmhmmm I want to see a spooky swamp type place.
With swamp gas that burst in to flames, with quick sand, and tar pits...

Nov 11, 2009mad3nch1na posted a message on Death Mechanics of Diablo IIIPosted in: NewsQuote from "Gaia942" »Personally I see permanently losing experience and gold is a bad design. I'm ok with the idea of having some experience and gold being temporarily left at the place of death to be re-obtained in whole. But not having the ability to re-obtain 100% of what is lost will cause extreme aggravation and won't do the game any good.
I agree with this idea. If you die during a quest, then any exp lost is recovered after the completion of the quest. This will encourage players to play together and weather the storm even if things are not going smooth.
Or if you die in a dungeon, exp will be recovered after killing the boss. -

I have a BFG 9800 GTX+ that came slightly overclocked out of the box from BFG.
Its a pretty good card and its in your price range.
I can run Farcry 2 on MAX settings, and Empire Total War on most of the settings on MAX, the only time it sort of gets slow if everything is maxed is during the naval battles because the water is so awesome in that game.
There is a difference between the GTX and GTX+, the + is better, also there are differnces on who manufactures the card, like I mentioned before, the BFG card I have was slightly overclocked out of the box (no problems what so ever so far, its been about half a year since I got it) With a GTX+ I am sure you can run all of the games you have listed on max with very good frame rates.

I mean its always good to be a doctor, but its going to suck allot more for the health industry as a whole if he gets his way.
With 1.5 years left its not too late to change majors if you think pre-med is not working out.

Now how well you can run the game, and at what setting is another story.
With a low end rig don't expect the game to look very pretty and don't expect get great FPS either, especially if you have a party full of monks and wizards with spell effects on high!
But I am fairly confident I should be able to run the game on max settings with out getting a new card, I currently sport a 9800GTX+

Ever consider an MBA? Or do you really like med?
If you want to be a doctor, make sure you are not doing it just for the money, because it is REALLY REALLY hard, not just grade wise, but the residency and all that...
I know a guy that goes to Emory as a premed, that kid literally DOES NOT SLEEP, I'm talking about 8 hours a week, but he justifies it with getting a 4.0. He has gray hairs and hes not even 22 years old.

IE Super Tiger Claw Strike
Would require the player to press W A D D S W D A W in order, the closer it is to the order required and the more "in synch" it is the more damage it does. Similar to DDR...
Or another way to implement a similar mechanic is to right click left click, and the number of clicks determine the number of punches.
This would be a very interesting mechanic and would defiantly make the monk unique as a playable character, but also a additional resource system, and give a very "fighting game feel"

Nope, they are not permanent(in the sense they can be removed at any time with out penalty), and are applied instantly to that certain skill.
But they last for as long as you have it inserted in the skill and do not 'wear out' over time
From what I know, it does not cost additional mana, rage, resource, to cast a skill with a rune in it, and all every time you cast that skill, as long as the rune is inserted in that skill, that skill will be modified by the rune accordingly every time that skill is used.
So with a certain rune, it may make you cast 2 fire balls at once, every single time
Another rune applied could make your fireballs bigger and do more damage
Another rune applied could make your fireballs bounce off targets
Another rune applied could make your fireballs quicker
Another rune applied could make your fireballs cost less mana
Another rune applied could make your fireballs do splash damage
Another rune applied could make your fireballs knock back
Another rune applied could make your fireballs set them on fire
You get the idea....
