mmmmhmmm I want to see a spooky swamp type place.
With swamp gas that burst in to flames, with quick sand, and tar pits...

I'm ok with the idea of having some experience and gold being temporarily left at the place of death to be re-obtained in whole. But not having the ability to re-obtain 100% of what is lost will cause extreme aggravation and won't do the game any good.
I agree with this idea. If you die during a quest, then any exp lost is recovered after the completion of the quest. This will encourage players to play together and weather the storm even if things are not going smooth.
Or if you die in a dungeon, exp will be recovered after killing the boss. -

The logic behind it is that since bosses spawn once a month, people that would not regularly want to kill bosses would feel compelled and go out of their way to go boss killing once every month.

I think there should be way more than 4 difficulties...
Hell why not?
Make a new difficulty as soon as the hardest difficulty is beat, just add more hp/damage to the monsters and better drops.

Uhhh, why else would any one complain about it if that were not true...
The reward should be positively correlated to the difficulty.

You hero says "Time for some fun!"
*cue* heavy metal music.
Kill counter appears on screen, every 50 kills a elite comes at you; each time bigger and stronger.

YES.
And I really hate Robert Kotick, but this is just so much more important, I love D3 more than I hate Kotick. But if I ever see that guy in real life, I would kick him in the nuts.

D3 is a post WOW game, and if boss fights are 1% as diverse as boss fights in WOW then D3 bosses will be awesome.

Make one just like the famous Bashiok haiku:
On the wind a shout
The barbarian strikes down
Flesh renders from bone
Haikus are poems with 5 syllables in the first like 7 in the second and 5 in the third.
Here is mine about the shield barb I'm gonna play when the game comes out
Clang! A failed strike.
The Barbarian counters
and spews blood all over...
