    Tell me if I misunderstand here, but your post seems to imply the following;

So we should be able to solo bosses without requiring leech? Or potions?

Well, yes and no. There is a single player part of the game, I assume. That's part of what the Diablo series was about. But without potions, it looked to me (from what little we saw of the siegebreaker fight) that taking on a boss by yourself would be damn impossible. But on the flip side, the people playing looked as if they were intentionally making the entire fight more difficult for themselves.

I suppose difficult but soloable boss fights would be iconic to the Diablo series.

    Leech? Like D2?

I didn't understand their reasoning for adding the health orbs...so that people don't mash potions? I never used potions on any physical damage character, leech all the way, and casters barely get hit enough to need to use more than 1 or 2 potions every 5 minutes or so...

I've had tough as nails characters with high dual leech needing to mash potions to stay alive in certain events.

If you have to rely on leech just to deal with bosses, that sort of removes any reason to choose any other type of gear.

-Succubus, and not the ones from D2

    -Lightning Enchanted mobs

-potions (health orbs sound cool, but imagine in a tough as hell boss fight when you're at 20% health and there are no minions to kill for health)

    -Cow Level

    -Perfect Gem Activated

A MAILING SYSTEM! In diablo 2 I would always have to wait for friends or hide items in servers. They should make it similar to wow where you cant transfer uber rare items and stuff. HOW PERFECT! Anyone agree?

    No.

The system as it was, was intended to keep people from twinking.

We still did it, of course. But it was risky. I lose a good item maybe once a week due to no friends on or the game I hid stuff in died.

    How can i say...

    The textures ARE NOT important.

WE PLAYED DIABLO 2 WHEN IT HAD AN AWFUL GRAPHICS (even if it was suggestive).

ThE ImPoRtAnT THINGS are THE LIGHTS. Changeable with a ini or something like that. AND a NOISE EFFECT. It will be released by a fan 17 hours after the release by a fan/modder.

I still play D2, and I have to say that the graphics are amazingly well done.

Hand drawn, and set the mood quite nicely while using colour.

Now why don't I get the same feeling of horror from the preview clip? Blue doesn't create a feeling of shadow or darkness, black does.

What makes the game a Sequel? the graphics? or the storyline?

So you would be happy if they just had a nice storyline in a world of rainbows, butterflies, and unicorns and then called it Diablo 3? Cause you people who say this seem to forget what part graphics play in the overall mood of the game.

Please, choose your answer carefully or be known as the hypocrite you are.

Ahhhhhhhh, you don't have to worry.

If it dosen't change there will be so many mod able to adjust the look to the preferences of anyone.

(in 3d is easyer than in 2d to change light settings, isn't it?)

Yes, light changes can be made by setting a different number for the colour code. New textures can be imported in and replace old ones.

The process to change what they say they have completed now would take 4 days in the hands of a full team. The people thinking it would set the game back by years obviously have never had any experience using a 3d game engine.

Also it may have been twenty years since the prime evils where killed, but Tyrael is his ultimate "wisdom" destroyed the Worldstone, opening the world to the forces of heaven and hell that before could not enter Sanctuary for their war.

Yeah it's still some time until then, but that's how much MMO's go, they run out of content.

Not true, most MMOs have the freedom of creating content on the fly. Hell, EQ is still going.

Down the RTS alley again, with the Draenei and their starships, the world could practically band together and go Warhammer 40k the universe up.
To be honest the designers have been dancing around the idea of Orcs in space, it lead to Starcraft, but they diverted away. The notion resurfaced in WC3 with the Flamethrower Orc.

They have portal technology aswell, I mean their struggle is a universal one now since the Burning Crusade, the third game would HAVE to be a federation of horde and alliance versus the crusade, WC3 and WoW built up to that.

Because stealing even more from the Warhammer franchise is pure genius.

Dawn of War would basically put a Warcraft in space into a corner and rape it in the name of Slaanesh.

The only option they have, if they even keep Warcraft going, is to somehow retcon all of WoW, restart the war and game on.

Umm there is still Sargearas and the whole burning legion to combat, and the maelstrom, many places to go...

I should have clarified, it's the beginning of the end. Each level cap increase drives away new players, and once they've killed every majour character, where does the Warcraft series go? Down the toilet.

When its done correctly then it works very well, unfortunately its more then often done wrong an destroys the universe.

I've yet to see blizzard screw it up, it'll be quite a day when they finally do.

Once WoW players kill Arthas, that entire series is dead.

They've been screwing it up for four years.

Female Greek Goddess = Amazon. I am Aphrodite, Warrior Goddess, Sparta. I look forward to this new line of characters. Better armor, better weaponry, better graphics. Delicacy for the eye.

I will also be using My name there in D3 - Aphrodite. © I've been registered with Blizzard now for over 5 years with this name. I ask that no one, as a joke or otherwise, attempt to use my name, as it will be impersonation. And I will not be pleased.

    Thank You.

    I wish all well.

    Aphrodite

This is so out of place in this thread.

Also, Aphrodite had nothing to do with war..

Maybe you're confused with Athena, who was the personification of war strategy.

I've always wondered if Sanctuary was flat or if it was a planet. Since only Sanctuary, Heaven and Hell exists in the Diablo universe, there's no reason for it not to be flat. It also seems to small to be spherical. But it would be strange to fall off the world if you hit the edge of the map. Is there anything in the lore to suggest if Sanctuary is a planet, or just a flat peice of land?

Sanctuary is literally between heaven and hell.

I imagine it would be flat, to fit in with that dark age view.

Hmmm, I never knew Activistion-Blizzard pulled out of E3. But I'm glad, E3 has become a complete joke now.

Quite a few companies will not attend anymore.

The shift of focus from the consumer to the industry drove them away.

Why try to sell your ideas to your competitors?

Yeah but I don't think the world is a world like we know it, that could be the only land mass in the game, its not like we couldn't go to other types of realms like heaven or hell.

Its entirely possible your right, blizzard are always expanding the different universes they use (SC, WC, Diablo) and changing it, its something you got to enjoy about there story telling sometimes is that they aren't afraid to expand at the risk of destroying there different universes.

    I'm not sure that's a good thing.
