Just keep the cuss words/racial epithets out of peoples names.

I'm not Jewish, but playing a game with Jewkiller0001 really gets on my nerves.

Other than that, I can handle the words in speech.

Well when I said "So the same thing will be done in D3 I presume." I meant it would explain that all the adventurers had a part in destroying the soulstones.

Not that they would all become evil. :P My mistake.

    Ah, just a minor misinterpretation.

Ah you're right. I knew about Blood Raven and the Summoner, but I forgot they say a group. So the same thing will be done in D3 I presume.

I don't see the Paladin, Assassin, or Necromancer coming back as enemies. But the others I definitely would.

I count those three out because each was mentally prepared for those kinds of horrors.

Agreed, the AH can work perfectly on Battle.net for D3 if done right

And set the stage for gold farming en masse.

Sorry, but I prefer trading with people face to face because then I can tell if it's a farmer.

Also, while an AH would be the way to make gold useful, it will not be otherwise.

Gold can buy me things from NPCs, but NPCs don't carry the unique drops that sometimes spawn off monster for players. Those unique drops are often VERY good, and if someone has a spare or doesn't want one, I'll trade something equal in return.

I don't think Blizzard will pinpoint one person who destroyed them because they all had a hand in it.

It'd be kind of weird finding out that the Amazon destroyed them when you never even played a Amazon but you destroyed them with every other character.

They did it with the wanderer because they needed to pick someone to be the holder and become possessed, but I don't think in this case they need to select which character since the stones are destroyed.

It would be neat however to see a cinematic of all the classes standing around the hellforge and someone destroying a soulstone. That way they all were there.

The Warrior became the Wanderer, the Rogue became Blood Raven, and the Sorcerer became the Summoner.

Also every time they mention the prime evils being defeated they clearly state the prime evils were defeated by a "group of unknown heroes".

So... does that mean we get sexy half-naked male barbarians to play?

When most people think of Barbarian, they think of Conan.

Crossbows are too slow in DII, really. In Nox they fired almost instantly and reloaded instantly. I want those crossbows.

I could imagine adapted guns, aka magical guns such as the ones used in Savage. I am just not sure if they would not create some problems in the game, such as competition against other ranged weaponry, or become totally useless.

Only a cho-ko nu had rapid fire.

European crossbows were easier to use than a bow, but very slow.

If GW does it, so can Diablo. I don't see any difference between them. It's just a matter of how rare do you make things and everything...

    I see a huge difference.

You can do a "run" in 30 minutes.

You can't do runs in GW, the same way you did it in D2.

Also 8 player games were confirmed in one of the multiplayer threads, where someone wanted it to be like WoW or some-such.

What, the Fireball? Seems more like a Sorceress attack to me.

    Fire BOMB

It's actually a direct rip of an assassin attack.

Witch Doctors share traits with the Necromancer and the Sorceress, not the Druid.

No, he definitely shared more traits with the druid.

Unless he tossed around a frozen orb or two and I didn't notice.

Barbarian - Obviously made the comeback. This guy is what a warrior wishes he could be in melee combat. So that area is covered.

Witch Doctor - Summoner, damage dealer. This guy took the best parts of the Necro and Druid and comes out yelling "Ooga-booga" I like it.

Woodsman/woman - A mix of archery and melee, toss in a few druid skills and we're ready to roll.

Swashbuckler - This is your melee hybrid. He's part warrior, part rogue, and would excel at one-on-many due to his fast and flashy style.

Wizard - Cheesy purple robes and equally cheesy pointed hat. Instead of being a pure elementalist, his focus is the arcane. Both heavenly and demonic.

I'm not sure what the instanced nature of the game has to do with the economy. Many games with instanced content out there now are able to control the flow of gold/platinum via useful/required money sinks. It isn't that hard, if the developers put some time into research and balance.

    Cheers,
SmashBoy (teaches Econ 101 in the fall)

This isn't instanced, like Guild Wars.

This is Diablo we're talking about. Where you would run a dungeon over and over and over for the purpose of getting the best loot possible.

Unless they took that out (aka destroying the replayability) it's just hard to imagine what "money sink" they could possibly put in to counter affect that. Especially with the removal of potions.

Gold should be able to replace trading high-runes around, that way diablo 3 will have a stable economy. I want energy to increase the magic damage of mages, that would own.

A stable economy in a system of 8 player game rooms made by the dozens every few minutes is a pipe dream.

Yes on Energy affecting magic damage. The stats needed to be more useful.

Strength also needs to be redone so it's not just pumped to equip gear.

So where does the distinctly African Witch Doctor come from then?

No foreign influence in games! Just more of the same please!

Just cause he's black doesn't mean he's African.

    He could be Jamaican.

    Barbarians Mt. Atreal

Witch Doctors - Some freaking Jungle somewhere, don't remember the name.

Amazons - Female Warrior race from one freaking group of islands.

Hardly universal. Plus there's a new area on the D3 map that was previously unamed, now called Xiansai. I don't know why people have to get so worked up at other people's suggestions. This wasn't "Name the class that will definately go into Diablo 3 - be right or your family tree gets cancer!!!" It was a class you would like to see, I would like to see an oriental inspired warrior class, not specifically a Samurai but I used the name for convenience.

Some people really need to chillax about these things.

Xiansai is the rumoured home of the Assassin Order.

Also Xiansai is more akin to Chinese naming than Japanese.

I think We'll see the Paladin, or a character very much like the Paladin.

Just because the Zakarum became corrupt does not discount that Westmarch (if I remember correctly) has it's own order of Paladins.
