The art change isn't just for that purpose either, it so Blizzard can lower the rating for D3 from Mature, to Teen. Making it available to more people.

Changing the graphics engine is an Upgrade to the game... changing the PvP system is a complete revamp or a huge section of the game... stupid strawman argument.
Strawman Argument #2:
This is a game in which we are immersed in a chaotic (spelled correctly this time just for you) world swarmming with hell beasts. For there to be structured PvP, like as there is in WoW, not only doesn't fit in the story, but ruins this game to some extent. WoW pvp is the most "kiddie" PvP i have ever played. Structured PvP is kiddie pvp.. i dont want rules on my PvP (griefing /hacking aside that is). Free for all murder fests are real PvP. 1 on 1's are also good, and team pvp.. but again, its kiddie pvp if it is structured.
You relating my argument of structured pvp as "kiddie PvP" in a supposedly chaotic virtual world, to being the same thing as me saying Real life is kiddie because there is structured laws is a stupid strawman argument.
I can go all day pointing out strawman arguments that the anti-PK camp constantly makes.. but those are 2 of yours.

Other then that, i hope they divide us by realms because some of us like diablo as it was and as it was intended. Choas was the name of the game.. not structured kiddie BS.

Dude.. your rediculous. Not only do you respond to a perfectly good argument with flaming and ludicrous ideas like playing in traffic = not feeling safe in a video game. But your also just plain wrong. There was nothing douchy about PKing, it was INTENDED to be part of this game. Im sorry that you were on the recieving end, but thats how the cookie crumbles.

It doesnt amount to nothing.. im playing the game and thats part of the game man... i dont want to prance around in blueby land, only playing cooperativly with other people. Competition is a driving force of diablo and that is mostly achieved through PvP. Having only consensual pvp removes a huge feel to the game.
You must have not really liked the game if you didnt get a rush and a chill in your spine evry time someone came into the game and went hostile. Its that feeling that was a part of the game. the fear.

Thats the game man! Thats PART of Diablo! I chose to utilize part of the game that the developers PURPOSLY put in.
The only reason the idea of taking it out is being entertained is because not only is the core diablo team not even working on D3... but blizzard has been softened from years of working with the WoW crowed. And not to put the WoW people down.

Now, this was always one of the best series... there really is no reason to change it because some people... even if it is a majority... don't like to be PKd and ONLY want the PvE experience.
To that i say, too bad! its part of the game and always has been wether you like it or not.
(thatll change tho because blizzard will listen to you guys and press the destruct button on one of their greatest games)

Well.. hopefully blizzard won't make me play with those who detest PvP by seperating us by servers. I mean, does anyone remember the ear full of childish crying every time you killed someone who didn't want to be killed. It was rediculous, haha... and strangely made me want to kill them more.

Its a known fact that the MAIN reason people farmed for loot so damn much in D2 was to make their char better for PVP.

Thats right... lets make diablo like every other game out there because you could never handle the heat of PK.
The Diablo PvP system was never broken (before hacking, obviously hacking destroyed a good thing), so why fix it. Oh thats right, because while your saying the people who want to keep PK are crying.. its in fact the crying of people like you over multiple years of getting owned in game that forced Blizzards hand to change a good thing in the first place.
Gogo generic game pvp for the protection of weak players.

Thats why I present to you the idea of a Barter House. An area, which can be implimented into the game however Blizzard sees fit, in which Items can be put up for sale/auction for gold and/or other items. The way this would work is every tiem someone enters an item, that item is then recorded in a data base and saved even after the item has been traded. This data base is always accessible to players via a window in the Barter House and when you would like to trade an item for another item you simply open the data base up, search for the item you would like, find it and click a link which then links the item to your auction.
For instance, you want to trade Sword A for 5xRing B. You put Sword A up in the barter house and in the auction creation window you have a both a gold section and an item section. You click the brows database link in the item section. Search for Ring B. Find it and link it to your Auction and put in the you want ringb x5. And create the auction.

All these threads are the same as well.... their are 3 camps basically.
Camp1: Anti PK people who just want to "play the game" which is a rather Ironic statement because in the first two installments of this game PK/PvP was such a large part and so thoroughly implimented in the game that to engage in PvP/PK was literally part of "playing the game". It was part of playing the game even in a PvE sense because you often had to battle for your right to PvE in a certain area and winner took all.
Camp 2: Pro PK people who truely understand that, hey man, PK is just part of THIS game. This game isn't WoW or any other RPG that impliments PvP/PK in some other way.. this is Diablo and this style of PvP/PK helps to define this games uniqueness.. and that should never be comprimised. Us pro PKs don't have to necissarily be good at PvP/PK (even though I like to think im good.. very good =) to LOVE it and what it did to set Diablo apart from other games.
Camp 3: Ambiguouse PK people who don't really care and/or don't really remember how the previouse diablos were or what the end result of D3 will be.. they just wanna play any game thats thrown at them.
I hope for the integrity of this game that BLizzard doesn't cave to the anti-pk side because no matter how annoyed some people are, or what the majority says.. this is diablo, always has been, always should be.
P.S.
This is all a moot point ebcause Blizzard has already stated that they are all of a sudden against the PvP/PK system that they themselves created and used to promote.
