OK, this idea may seem farfetched, and I'll admit that there is very little chance of this being implemented, but I thought it sounded interesting so I thought I'd share.
Obviously, the vast majority of the Diablo community is against class-specific roles (i.e. barb tank, sorc ranged-dps, etc.). However, I thought that there could be a way to make these roles exist without resitricting each class to a WoW-like designation:
Tank gear as opposed to a tank class
DPS gear as opposed to a DPS class, and so on
This would mean a new type of loot system. Each piece of loot would be specially made with the idea of tanking, DPSing, etc. and the mods would only accomodate that role. There would be some all-around loot for soloing of course, but otherwise items' stats would reflect the role they were made for.
This way when you group up you can designate one person to tank (regardless of their class, a sorc for example could be designated the tank just as easily as the barb), they change out their gear to take on this new role and the other people in the group can work on DPS or whatever form of healing is implemented.
I know this is outlandish, so telling me so is just repetive =]

Will the D2 Multiplayer statistics cary over to D3?

ide say just increase it but have a limit i mean u can limit the game in diablo 2 to only 5 people so why should there be a Perm limit u dont like playing with more then 5 people lim it your game when you create on bnet simple enough

i can answer u the last 2 and im not even on the d3 devo team they already stated there will no longer be a pk system like there was. WHY? because they dont wanna make the game were u can piss other people off for your enjoyment only so there is gonna be a system involved were you both have to agree
DUDE for the love of god there is a Diablo 3 class discussion forum. please stop spamming these forums with everything that comes to mind.... im not trying to be a dick but damn... this also has been discussed many times.
The problem was that rune words, especially the 1.11 ones, made all previous uniques, crafted and even runewords no longer worth the trouble of finding/making them.
Uniques were, at one point, really powerful and useful. Enigma basically killed that, as did BOTD.
I love uniques, but it needs to be more like Diablo 1. were they were truly powerful and you wanted to use them. You shouldn't be able to buy a magic item that is better than a Unique. And Rune Words really should be better than Uniques either. Sets are ok, as they do not get super powerful until you piece together part of, if not the whole set.
Crafted could be better than uniques in some cases, as it requires some work. But no more piss easy to put together rune words that make all previous items void.
dude i am sooo with you these new runewords totally raped any unique ever spawned and some of the bugged items in 1.09 the only truly BEAT item that was left that i think was and still is the best armor you could of gotten was 1.08 arkains valor the vita + was GODLY at like 80+ you would get like 250+ vita... i mean damn... and it was legit...

nah thats act 5 in act 2 after u kill duriel and you have the quest tyreal comes and opens a tp like in act 1 when you kill andy the 1st time. if you dont have the quest no tp so yea i kinda see the point of him dropping the tps always. cus its a chamber sealed off.
yea idk why mephisto and baal always dropped better shit. andy was good. but Duriel and Diablo SUCKED. Duriel never dropped any thing good,every time u kill him he wud drop a TP!!

Well from D2s expansion LoD, all the expansion was , was another new act and 2 new characters. Im guessing the D3s expansion will maybe add 2-3 new acts 1-3 new characters. And yea... and maybe a new boss.
i dont htink they are going to go over 5 acts personally. i think 5 is the max for the game. not because thats all they can make but because thats what they want todo.

I believe it would be a hyperbole if they brought back Baal and Mephisto since we know they are both dead and their soulstones were destroyed... One is enough...
:sigh: okay let me break it down for you they are not dead but merely banished back to hell were they came from. the soul stones which granted them access into the mortal realm were destroyed, but the world stone that big o'l rock that Tyreal destroyed cus baal corrupted was the big lock and key to preventing the demons from coming into the mortal realm.. now that it has been destroyed there is nothing preventing them from coming back into the mortal realm they just need a way. any other questions you have? or statements i can correct for ya?:thumbsup:

Sin wars i think would be the best setting for a diablo mmo. also you have to read the whole article not just the snippets we post.... to get the zomg what els could they do with the diablo series? i mean if they can turn a rts game into a mmo you can definetly turn a action already rpg into a mmo.
