Quote fromThere is a talent modifier in some of the other trees that says "30% extra damage for all Storm spells" or something. And another modifier that adds %dmg to ALL spells. But even so, I do feel the damage the spells do seem to be on the low side.
OH so i guess you guys want the damage levels to be....OVER 9000!!!!!!!

Yeah, being pro enough to handle a boss without potion and TP spam is TOO EASY ZOMG!

He just said no charging for anything core to the gameplay experience- only for extra B.Net features that they might want to implement...He just put all your bullshit P2P concerns and whatnot suspicions to rest by saying it's just box price and nothing else for future content related additions. CASE FUCKING CLOSED.
Some people just can't be pleased ever...ridiculous. You SHOULD be relieved and its VERY fair.

I do know that Tyrael acted against heaven's wishes in the past...but this sort of seems to be the last straw (worldstone pwning) - effectively implying some sort of nullification of the Angiris Council vote at the end of the Veiled Prophet.
Also, I meant to imply that we might see some more heavenly action as a result.

Tell that to Jay Wilson. When asked what games they looked at for inspiration or what games they were playing at the time- he mentioned God of War.
God of War is an RPG game and it has been used by the developers as a reference point to know where they stand in the market. It and games like Heavenly Sword have done wonders for the RPG world- given they may be forgotten in 10 years- they are still made waves...
Don't tell what to compare to and what not to without giving me a logical explanation why...

If that's established...then I think we can all just relax instead of latching onto something new to bitch about! I know forums are fun...but cmon Going on after something's resolved is joblessness to the max

I think that's the vibe Blizzard is going for. I Didn't give a shit about Kratos' stats...I gave a shit about the different things i could to do to beat the hell out of the bosses/monsters i found. That was a bit limited in God of War - imagine the variety in Diablo III (from the skills systems).
You can still have fun playing an RPG game where you don't have to customize your stats...
God of War had close to Zero customization and one character...
Diablo III is on a larger scale in comparison- I'm happy to play it if it can deliver a great experience with the mentioned classes an systems announced- and not giving 2 shits about something as MINOR as stats.
Now if blizzard said you couldn't choose your own skills... then THAT would be messed up...not all the stupid foaming mouths about auto stats.

The way Boyarsky was talking- it seemed that Tyrael's tinkering in human affairs did not sit well with the Heavens...and the worldstone pwning is sort of the cherry on the cake.
I think this sort of pushes Tyrael onto our side yet again and confirms some sort of heavenly influence in the game - givenBoyarsky's emphasis on there being aspects of the game not previously covered in the games.
Has this info really changed any minds on Lore thus far? (I know it's not much- but no one seemed to be talking about Lore :P).

WoW is way more hardcore than Diablo is ...lol wtf? WoW happens to be on a much larger scale...and takes hardcore gaming to a new level - you can't say that diablo is more hardcore than it because diablo doesn't even have the character depth + game content to compare... (think Arena, Think End-gAme raiding). Again with the comparisons...and pointless WoW hating... Make a point and stick to issue of respeccing please...

If you still want to have 10 characters- go ahead- just collect the gear separately- because you were going to do it if the respecc wasn't there anyway :P. Also keep in mind that D3 devs want to change loot and gear so that we can have some more customization aspects to tinker with in that department.
Whether or not there is a respec system- there are going to be cookie cutter builds- like it or not. D2 was a great example of how that played out... The D3 skill system is a great integration of the D2 skill system and the WoW Talent System - so you'll really be getting the best of both worlds and have a good number of possible builds available. Again keep in mind- we've only seen 1 set of skill trees so far.

The armory was an awesome idea to promote learning and comparison and competition even in the WoW World.
However, I highly doubt blizzard can implement such a system in Diablo III because it takes alot of maintenance and resources to keep the database updated.
Also keep in mind that you can seriously spam characters and get onto B.net. Having B.Net keep a track of all those little details and character changes requires some moolah and memory and storage space.
WoW gets it because it's being funded by a monthly income. Diablo however won't be ...so no need to fear.

Stats either offered you more damage, block, hit rating, health or mana. The only customization you actually NEEDED from a Player vs monster aspect was to allow you to measure up to the standards required to kill something in Hell. You could do it by tanking a few more hits, making a few more hits, blocking a few more spells/hits, or spamming a bit more.
By auto assigning points...what are you losing? You're just being automatically prepared to handle hell mode without having to screw it up. You instead have to focus on what combination of spells and what tactics to use with your new runed skills and talented abilities.
Give and Take...it's happening...Open eyes please.
