posted a message on Belial and Azmodan?
No, it probably isn't Belial or Azmodan, especially since the guy to the right resembles mephisto (lanky, boney, tall) and the one on the left looks very similar to the discriptions of Baal from the original Diablo 1 manual (there was no actual detailed discription, though they did give you some sort of idea of what he was like)

The strange thing is, the one three-headed Demon in the trailer for some reason says to me "that's Belial." I have no idea why but I feel like I've seen that image before from somewhere...not the exact one from the trailer of course, but that depiction of Belial being a firey balroog-like demon with 3 heads.

I'll have to look into it...it's been bothering me for a while now

posted a message on Diablo 3 loves God of War
The instant I saw the gameplay trailer, I thought "Great, Blizzard copied God of War..."

In all honesty, if I wanna play God of War, I'll go play God of War. I don't want to pick up Diablo 3 and say "Wow! This is awesome! Playing a Barb is just like playing as Kratos!" I should be able to pick up Diablo 3 and say "Now THIS is Diablo!" not " Hmmm...Diablo and a Kratos look-a-like 3 huh?"

I know it isn't easy to re-invent the wheel, which is basically what Blizzard is trying to do with Diablo 3. However, the more I look at Diablo 3, the more I am sickened by the fact that Blizzard is basically ignoring what made Diablo 1 a great game (Diablo 2 was NOT a great game, it was mearly a good game). I'm all for color, flair, and rainbows are a natural occurance in the world and as strange as it sounds, belongs in Diablo. Only deal is Blizzard should make a Barb play like a Barb. Look at Kratos and see what makes a successful muscle-bound behemoth and then use that as a standard and exceed it.

In my opinion, the Barb is just a poor copy of Kratos with whirlwind at this point in the game. Will I enjoy playing as a Barb? Probably. Will I give them style points? Aboslutely not.

Blizzard Irvine completely ripped WoW from EQ and I won't be suprised at all if they rip many other games besides God of War in order to make Diablo 3. Condor (Blizzard North) was innovative and original, Blizzard Irvine is testing my patience with their lack of creativity and originality.

Sorry, I don't have proof of this. However I am certain they have removed it. If they went as far as to make icon-inventory, I won't be surprised if they have implemented the automatic stat point distribution in WoW. I'll remove that part from my post, since I made it seem like fact, sorry!

eeeh I seriously doubt they would do that. The stat page is THE heart of Diablo. If you screw up with your stats, you're done, kiss that character goodbye cuz you'll never solo Diablo. At least that's the way it was with Diablo 1. Diablo 2 is far more forgiving for poor stat placement thanks to the skills. If blizzard had even an abby-normal brain, they'd realize it would be stupid to have auto-stats in Diablo 3 like in WoW

people just assume that the ones that ruin the game, are "kids", because realistically speaking... theyre kids. kids are stereotyped to be immature, annoying, dumb, and lacks common sense. thats what everybody else in the world view u as, its the circle of life. but ofcourse, not all of kids are like that.

but i gotta say, adults can also be retarded assholes when playing games. they think that just because they are older and can boss people around, they dont notice that theyre stooping down to their levels, the immature, annoying, dumb, no common sense level.

so if youre one of those dumbass "adults" keep acting like retarded faggots just because they are "older", shut the fuck up and look at ur fugly ass self in the mirror first before u shoo kids away who are just trying to have a good time playing a damn game.

    and im 17 bitch...

For the record, if you want to be taken seriously in any sort of argument, refrain from insulting the other party as well as cursing. And yes, it was very apparent by the time I read your second paragraph that you were a teenager.

So you know, cursing up a storm doesn't get your point across any better. If anything, it alienates your reader.

samayel is correct. I've been playing video games for what feels like ages. I've played everything from the oldest multiplayers of yester year to the most cutting edge multiplayer games of today. In my experience, assholes know no age group. Yes, I can easily spot an immature player, though it isn't always a "kid" who is the one being immature. There are a lot of adults out there who are adults in age only. And then there are a lot of kids out there that are kids in age only. I've been friends with 14 year olds in my old clans and I've even had the strange experience of having a 16 year old be my clan leader (granted I was the leutenant and helped him a lot but it was a good learning experience for both of us). And also I've been involved with adult-only groups, though more often then not, those old fucks (as George Carlin would say) are too dry for a goofy guy like me and I end up yerning for the spontenuity and humor that the younger demographic brings to the table.

Really, you're going to run into an asshole no matter what game you play, even if it's WoW, Diablo 2, SC, CoD4, ET:QWs, Crysis, what have you. Does it get annoying to hear kids yammer on in a game's built in VOIP? Yes it gets very annoying having to hear 500 "your mom" comments and such but then you can always say "Alright boys, that's quite enough, could you cut it out?" and if not, there is almost always a miraculous "mute player" button in most games.

If you can't stand playing in a multi-cultural, multi-age, multi-ethnic game then you have no business being on the internet at all.

I'm tired of people criticizing others for voicing their opinion. An extremely few people around here know how to carry on a conversation without saying "You're an idiot for saying that Diablo 3 doesn't look dark enough" or saying that them expressing their thoughts, ideas, and opinions is nothing more than "bitching."

Everyone has their opinion, no matter how overstated it is and you have the amazing ability of not having to read it if you don't want to.

Actually, children cannot do anything legally like that unless their legal guardian represents them in a United States court. Children do not hold any legal rights under the US Constitution and therefore unless your legal guardian represents your wishes in a case, you cannot do anything and you will be ignored.

It's a sad truth (to a degree) but that's why it's an Adult's world and not a Child's. You'll get your chance once you turn 18.

for the record, I dont care who gets to play the game. You could be an infant and play the game for all I care. It's your decision not mine and your money as well. I can deal with assholes in a game and assholes know no age group

I use a Pentium 4, ATI Radeon x1650, 3 GB of RAM. 2.8 GHz Processor, Hyperthreading. 400 W Power Supply. Won't be able to run D3. My family is so fuckin poor and we're probably going to lose our house, we don't have money like you rich spoiled kids or lucky adults to blow on computer parts. Only AGP system for me, lol. I won't be able to run D3 but I'll be able to run SC2.

no, you'll run Diablo 3 just fine. The old x1650 will get the job done. You wont be able to play anything at 1900x1600 but with a normal sized monitor, you'll run it fine. And honestly, if you think SC2 will run fine on it, so should Diablo 3.

And don't bash us adults. I work hard for what I have and there's no luck involved, just hard work. And really, if your parents are going to lose your home then I think you have more to worry about than whether a video game will work on your PC

    Opinions?...

    Pentium 4 3.20 GHz
    2.50 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce FX 5900 Ultra 256 mb

eeeew....FX 5900...the old blowdryer...that means you've got either an AGP x4 or x8 (hopefully the x8). I would say your best bet is to track down a decent Geforce 7 series AGP card or a Radeon X1K series AGP card. You can also go for a Geforce 6 series AGP, but id say if you went 6 series, only go for a 6800, the 6600 wouldn't be that much faster than the 5900. Just go to google and start searching or go on ebay and someone's bound to be selling a used one.

Other than that, the old P4 should handle the job fine enough

    My PC:

    C2Q 6600 2.4 (OC to 3.0) /w Zalman 9700 CPU Cooler

4 GB DDR2 RAM (OC to 1000 Mhz)

eVGA Geforce 9800 GTX (OC to 750 core, 2000 Shader, 2400 Memory)

    Gigabyte P35 motherboard

    Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer

    Corsair 650 Watt PSU

    LG 20x DvD Burner

    19" LCD 5:4 Monitor (1280x1024 resolution)

    500 GB HD

This computer is extremely basic when compared to "uber" gaming machines. I built it for only around 1000-1200 dollars and it can and does run anything and everything at Max settings. However, you can go much cheaper and still be able to get very similar performance. You really don't need a Quad core right now (unless you do video editing like I do or other extremely taxing applications like CAD). You can get a much cheaper Dual core from Intel (or AMD if you prefer them, though they are slower). You can also go with less ram and smaller hard drive. And really, from looking at the gameplay trailer, even with changes in the way the graphics look, I'm still more than confident that a more budget graphics card could run it. With the new ATi 4850 coming with it's unbelievably cheap price and extreme performance, it would be the perfect addition to any budget PC.

I would say if you pinch your pennys right, you can build or upgrade your PC to run Diablo 3 just fine. Even if all you have is a crappy little dell, just slap a Geforce 9600 in there an it'll do just fine.

posted a message on Blizzard needs to implement at least a BoE or BoP system (Bind on Equip or Pick-up).
no, we dont need any bind on equip or bind on pickup. Nor do we need item rolls. What needs to be done is duping needs to be made impossible. For Diablo 1, it was a stupid glitch. For Diablo 2, it was a server exploit. If Blizzard has learned from the experience of Diablo 2, they will make it exceedingly hard for someone to exploit the game like that.

If you want a more stable game economy, then blizzard needs to give Gold some more importance than gambling and repairng gear.

As for 40 sojs for an .08 Windforce, I've never heard of an .08 Windforce going for that price...though you do hear stupid high prices for Impshenks. Droprates on the items you've said are REDICULIOUSLY low. I've played this game for 8 years and I've never MF'd a windforce or a grandfather sword. Even when I screwed around and hacked an open b.net character to have stupid high MF (over a million), it wouldn't drop. Items like Windforces are extremely rare and even having the highest MF possible, its still a very low % drop. And runes are completely random drops. You can't blame the drop and equip system for rediculious prices. Blame people for being greedy with their items. Hell, did you even consider with a bind on equip system that item prices wont get even worse? The reason the prices are so high for this ladder season is because there aren't enough items out there and the "smart" assholes know that and are charging stupid high prices for items that are normally vender trash.

A Bind on Equip won't solve anything and a Bind on Pickup ruins the usefulness of those items. After all, what good is it if a Barb picks up a BoP item that is Witchdoctor only? Well now his only option is to dump it for useless gold (though I'm more than certain blizzard will fix the uselessness of gold)

Leave this to Blizzard. They'll get it right without having to resort to WoW or Everquest for their answers.

posted a message on The more i look ...
lol I'll still like Diablo 1 over Diablo 2 :D to me, Diablo 2 was cartoony when compared to Diablo 1. In fact, i never truely liked the D2 graphics that much. I always felt it wasn't as polished as Diablo 1 and I felt that it didn't live up to the legacy of Diablo 1. Not to mention the dungeons weren't nearly as cool as the D1 dungeons. I did like the landscapes, although it was like 80% landscape and 20% dungeon in that game (and that 20% is forced upon you. I rarely go into any of the non-essential dungeons unless I feel like MFing there). It's hard to be a dungeon crawler when you're outside all the time. That is my opinion of Diablo 2.

Now, I'm going to have to wait for Diablo 3 to actually come out before I can give my full thoughts on it and in my opinion, it's already surpassed Diablo 2 as far as graphics styling goes. There is plenty of work left to be done on the game and I really do hope that it can live up to it's moniker. For me, Diablo 3 isn't attempting to succeed Diablo 2 but instead the real Diablo, Diablo 1. And there's plenty of room in those shoes still cuz D2 didn't fill them in my opinion.

lol go ahead and flame me, d2 n00bs ;) Go check which one has the highest rating, Diablo 1 or Diablo 2 and you'll see Diablo 1 is the higher rated by game review sites and is still one of the highest rated PC games of all time.
