    Think about the 6 set bonus applying 750% damage multiplier to all hammers, now factor in the 250% max potential for the first three enemies struck. Fs is 1700 with a 250% multiplier, and that's all. FS loses right there, and loses in damage even further if you use a one hand.


    FS is a garbage mechanic currently and needs desperate re work. This is such a common bit of knowledge regarding crusaders I can't assume your post was made for any reason other than to begin an argument.

    You could perhaps drop leorics for hexing pants/illusory boots and work a little more cdr into the build. Not being seasonal I'm not able to play with ORZ. Great way to induce seasonal incentive, put a meta defining item not class specific in season. I digress.


    There isn't any 'right' or 'wrong' yet with gear setups, but anything involving leorics/RRoG is going to be sub optimal in terms of damage output. Just a heads up, I know ptr q times are garbage and it makes taking full advantage of the cube impossible atm.


    Is the set fun? Yes, I'm actually hoping this set will attract some more players to the class. Is it functional? Remember guys we were smashing the piss out of gr 45-50 last ptr with Rolands, some of us running no defensive abilities/unity in our setups. So if you were a part of those conversations or remember them look at the current Hammerdin set up and ask if its up to par. I'd say doubtful.

    Know what? I wouldn't take it if it did that much damage. The skill is just that bad, I hate the trend that seems to be cropping up with saders where using abilities locks out our skill bar for several seconds. For something to have that effect to ever make it on my bar it would have to reset the cd of iron skin with one use or clear a screen one shot @gr 65. I'm being serious, that's how bad lock out is, plus that travel time.


    The hammers themselves are fun, and while somewhat clunky the set looks like it has some speed farm potential in T10. The Devs really delivered nothing for wd/cruse this patch. I thought wd would end up in a good place and was worried about 'sader but the way things are now I'm wondering why actual effort was put forth in 2.2 and 2.3 is nothing but new artwork and an insane hope that cube will cover up the short sighted lazy design for the class sets this patch, insofar as WD and Sader are concerned. Dunno what's up with monk, won't comment.


    Fucking lazy cunts. I have to think that game development is where you go when you love computers but are too fucking stupid to actually get hired in a legitimate area of the field.

    Just a side note, if anyone is looking for crusader content on ptr, SunnyDecree who wrote the Roland's mat farm build/guide is streaming some ptr when he can get in, pretty good content/perhaps above average streamer.

    Furnace with the Johanna's flail cube'd is a very strong option, amazing synergy with the shield on the rg fights. Shaeffer's/Maximus are fun farming options that work well with the flail cube.


    1h flails having lower damage range than a dh 1h xbow is going to need looking at, I can't believe that the entire purpose of the new flail is to instantly break it but I don't see an ancient flail with furnace cubed out pacing an ancient furnace with flail cubed. Assuming equal value weps in both cases 5% off perfect damage affix rolls with same stats.


    Falling sword is in need of desperate re work picking up the skill does more harm than good, for the reason of the lockout and the travel time. Sure its nice to jump out of frozen or other nasty affixes, or pull of an rng dodge of some charging monster, but really this skill does nothing except give people the illusion they are playing with actual skill. Real skill would involve not being in a position for those things to be more than a minor annoyance to begin with.


    Falling sword needs to be an actual use-able skill. The devs own the garbage design, we as a player base interested in the class own the idiocy that was the outcry for a falling sword set without any real push for improvement to the actual skill. Everyone just wrote it off as garbage, which it is due to low damage bad animation and ability lockout.


    As for how the set looks visually, it's very Baron Samdi, with a fruity looking shield. Either design the set around the shield or the other way around but as it stands the whole thing clashes dreadfully.

    RRoG is worthless for a dps sader, so the set bonuses are fine. You can also not absorb the powers of sets in cube to date so not sure what the problems is. Between bane of the stricken and supporting items for this build looks like we're forced into seasons this time around. Shame.

    Trip attack isn't 100% chance to stun on hit, so it may not go anywhere. Furnace affix on the flense or vice versa perhaps. I'd say blood brother affix on furnace for bash would be something I'd like to try out.


    If trip attack doesn't get changed then that 50% elite damage with a sweep build would be a good boost, obisdian ring effect along with unity/coe for more akkarat's uptime w/o having to use a generator (looks like those still suck) or F/R.


    I'm not thrilled with the amount of notes crusaders have right now as opposed to the other classes though, new set looks underwhelming compared to rolands, but better than akkhan. No updates to core mechanics/passives, I understand cube but cube shouldn't be a bandage for the amount of finishing crudaders still need on a core level. Wrath gen still needs to be looked at, shield bash animation lock out, Falling Sword connect time are all still going to be issues. A new belt/set/ring are only going to highlight the need for core tuning(again) for falling sword as bash needs tuning. Hope for the best prepare for very little, even though its supposed to be a patch for wd,sader,monk I have a feeling only wd/monk come out of this shining.

    I've got a non ancient cloak with dex.1.50 hate per sec/ Rov, and it makes hatred management very smooth for 2:1 or 3:1. Works so well that I can use Focused mind and forgo archery with proper rotation management.

    This series would have been "progression" in season one, as it stands all that is really happening is a series of uploads/links to your you tube channel showcasing how inefficient solo gr key running really is. This isn't progression, no group play, no upgrading of items and low rift levels. In point of fact when condemn was actually the main stay for crusaders the gems for soft core were Mir,Trapped and usually Taeguk. Usually.Passives were long arm/holy cause, indy , HS, Finery. Leorics was questionable and sometimes necessary in lieu of a holy soj with either natural socket or a perfect cdr roll.


    What I'm getting at is even when this particular build was a progression build the information here in would not be the best route to go at all, and its been fairly common knowledge that solo farming in any setting is horribly inefficient. I'm having a hard time with it being labeled and defended as a "Progression" thread when it looks like an inaccurate history piece. I'm not attacking the op but this isn't something that adds any depth to the crusader class sub forum. Quite the opposite.

    3 rolls, probably not the biggest deal in the world. Check d3p and the original post I made as to the specific rolls I mentioned and tell me how much dps/toughness you lose using one ring, shoulder and weapon roll for rcr, using your character as a model, which also has the handy dandy bonus of saving you mats/time grinding gear.


    Funny enough, one of the top Korean clears seems to have used Long arm not Holy cause in his clear, which was a 60. So maybe not as far off as you'd think.

    Yeah I hear you Ace, I've had to toss a few 58 gr keys for forgetting to swap skills on my barb which hurts like a bitch. I only have time to farm trials one or two times a week at this point. The issue of time goes to moot if you're ok with times to rg and you generally have more fun with the FoTH setups, you have to actually enjoy what you're farming with otherwise..urge to log... XD.


    If you want to add some punch, I'd suggest harrignton waistguard for chests, if I remember right using the "fervor" passive you have the available cdr for perm AC without needing a Vig belt. Between that and F/R or SOJ/Convention you should find that you move along quite well. Happy zapping XD.

    Usually you have to make swaps in gear/talents for good speed farm potential. The bash build I listed as well as the mat build that was just written would pull an RG in a minute for a good rift or so, 4 for a bad rift. Multi level/empty. I've had T6 RG up in 40s, which isn't awful for a crusader considering I'm used to 30s-70s on my dh/barb. Fastest pull was in a graveyard, 40s with a conduit pylon, and every last mob was dust eater. I'll never see that again, which is why I say 70s is more realistic and that's in an optimal rift. Sub optimal max time is 4-5 minutes, depending on number of levels and mobs.


    I've used a condemn and FoTH build for clears and I've tried several different rolands setups, it is really hard to match the double mobility of steed charge and bash. Not wanting to swap gears is holding you back bro, my dh/barb with gr setup lose around 1:30 on a t6 time with decent density. Swap to a speed farm build and RG's are up in a minute or less.


    If you don't want to swap around etc. that's a personal preference, if you like the foth skill that again is a personal preference, however you're slowing yourself down. That being said I can appreciate the fact you enjoy FoTH setups, I spent the first 5 months I played Cruz ripping up T6 with that skill and firestarter/darklight before the nerf that is. Fissure is fun to play with as well, you can get the whole screen to be an electric chair for mobs.

    Get used to when he's going to drop balls on your chin and ww so that the templar eats them not you. Not sure how you're getting one shot at 140m toughness in a 50 when I run 70m with full taeguk stacks and don't get one shot till 53 or so. Could try using string of ears/crushing advance if I remember right this ball attack is arcane.

    posted a message on Solo player, WW BARB GR30. Need help to go higher.

    T6 pub games as someone else said and also speed 35-45 clears for gear op. Do some googling on WW6/IK4 and WW6/Oath that way when you begin to see the drops you know if the item is worth keeping and how it should be rolled. Lean about breakpoints with ww as well, big influence on damage.

    Don't ask about bp's go and learn, it's always in your best interest to fully understand class mechanics like that.



    Most importantly, Google. I'm not trying to be a prick but after the first few days of the patch there was enough info on the interwebz for me to do a gr 50 with almost no play time on my barb. Best of luck.
