I voted local co-op because the social element is quite lacking on the pc. I played d2 with friends. When I didn't, I was meeting new ones. The game required you to interact with other players for trades, rushes, ect. I suppose that bleeds into the AH issue as well. Unfortunately there wasn't an "all" vote on the poll.
I have struggled and I am very limited only one choice of one feature. There are many great features, like Loot 1.5, offline mode, NOAH mod and others, but the one I admire the most is Local coop. I have chosen the local coop simply because every time I think of console, it is the comfort of sitting on the couch with friends and all playing together, which is the essence of console playing. Nothing is more enjoyable and satisfying than to play in cooperation with friends, talking to each other and being in the same room, sharing one screen. This is what is the essence of Diablo, the cooperative play and having fun all together.
Good luck to everyone, and if I would win, I would pick the PS3 version. Thanks!
I voted for Loot 1.5, but it was a close race between loot, offline and no AH.
Offline mode and no AH are both nice for a very specific reason, and that is playing Diablo the way it should be played, If you want to get the most out of this ARPG. The countless hours you get from playing self-found in Diablo, is unmatched, being able to sit down, at anytime, and slaughter hordes of demons, not worrying about how much gold you have, not worrying about how much something is worth, to someone else. All that matters is how much it is worth to you. But I decided on Loot 1.5, because without it, the other two items in my list, would have failed.
How long did it take you to see your first orangeish brown sparkle on the ground when Diablo 3 was released? Personally I didn't see mine until I was farming Inferno Act 1 for about 1 month. This game was broken when it was released, and while they have indeed fixed a lot of those issues, the loot in the console version has far exceeded my dreams for how I would like to play this game. On my journey leveling I managed to pick up a good 50 or more legendaries from 1-60. The beam of light shining down from the heavens is always exciting, because 9 times out of 10, you are about to receive an upgrade, or at least, a side grade. Leveling this way is extremely fun, it gives a sense of accomplishment and progression. Once you hit 60 and begin to pump out paragon levels, the drops certainly slow down a little, but are still frequent enough that you want to play the game. You want to kill that next pack. You get excited each time you see a chest. This is what Diablo is about for me, killing dirty rotten demons, bathing in their blood, and grabbing all of the shiny loot.
I will say that another option that should be listed in the vote, is shared paragon levels. Because lets face it, grinding out paragon levels once is enough while there is the cap in place. RoF bringing no cap paragon levels will be great, a constant reason to play.
I am interested in another copy of the game for XBOX360, my father has come over quite a few times to enjoy local coop with me but has yet to pick up the game for himself, it would be a nice early Christmas present for him.
I added direct control over your character, while loot 1.5 was a close 2nd for me, what made the game fun was the differences in combat. When you have direct control it makes you feeled more involved with your character. It's not about point and click in a direction to kill a pack of demons, now it's roll to the side aim yourself then shoot.
It was a near vote for Rolling into stuff but I had to go for couch co-op. As someone who loves to play co-op with his friends, going online has nothing against sitting right next to each other. Besides, it also makes it easier because we all don't need the hardware and a copy of the game.
I voted for the Loot 1.5 as well. As someone who plays Diablo 3 as a self finder on PC, I'm usually very jealous of the people on consoles who get great drops. I've been debating getting it for PS3 or not and this would be a really great way to jump into it!
I chose Offline Mode. I live in an area where, in the evenings, my internet is intermittent and will lose connection for maybe 30 seconds every 15 minutes or so. My free time is usually in the evening when this is going on, so I very rarely have a long uninterrupted game session. Regardless of this, I still enjoy the game very much to the point where I put up with this almost on a nightly basis and I have always have a blast. One of the true benefits of being extremely stubborn, I suppose.
I picked "Local Coop up to 4 players" because quite honestly that is what consoles are meant for. Im so tired of seeing games come out for console that are 1-2-player only. What happened to the good old days when you could invite your friends over and have a console game night? So I would love the chance to play Diablo 3, chatting, and drinking a bear with 3 other people.
D3 for XBox 360 for me

Blizzard used to care about releasing Diablo III, then they all took an arrow in the knee...
Having been a big fan of the original Diablo 1 and 2 games when I was younger, I have always enjoyed the single player Diablo franchise on the PC. Sometimes as we grow older, we arrange our priorities in life a bit differently to accommodate our changed life style and/or life choices.
Married and with a 7 year old son, I tend to not have enough time to spend in front of my PC, other than for work. And because of our insane work schedule my wife and I have, we try to spend every minute all three of us can together when we can, especially during the week before we all go to bed.
Using our Xbox 360 as a bit of a multimedia center, we use it as a way for all of us to unwind, whether through Netflix, Music Streaming, or even gaming. Finding a 3 player game on Xbox 360 can be difficult, especially one for everyone to enjoy.
Initially, we had been playing the Marvel Ultimate Alliance game, as all three of us can play as different characters and really have a blast, and it is very easy to use! When I got my hands on the Diablo 3 Demo for Xbox 360, I was impressed with the fact that all of us could play (wizards and barb) and just have fun, with an increase in variable button options. Even as an M game, there hasn’t been too much gore (I think I had it turned all the way down). My son and I love the Skeletons and Skeleton King, and both of us can play while my wife is near by reading a magazine or relaxing near by – or even jump right in! - before we all head to bed.
4 player co-op locally is by far my favorite feature, and we can play offline without ever connecting to the internet and at our own pace. There is no need for multiple PCs (and my wife is a MAC user, and son too young to have his own) in different rooms, when we can all play in the same area. It has the potential to really share the Diablo experience with a wider base of people and new fans!
