Escapist Magazine is holding their annual Developer Showdown that they have every March. Last year, Blizzard lost out to Bioware in round four. This year, Blizzard is holding strong in the third round against Irrational Games. If Blizzard can conquer this bracket, then they will face either Square Enix or Naguhty Dog for the North Division Champions. From there, Blizzard will attempt to take the position of top developer of 2011. While the road so far has not been to challenging for a company as great as Blizzard, the competition continues to grow as they progress through the brackets. Possibly going up against Bioware again, every vote counts and Blizzard can use every vote they can get.
To vote for Blizzard as the top developer, head over to Escapist Magazine and let your voice be heard. After all, we are all DiabloFans here so we must all love Blizzard.
A special thanks to airandius for helping spread the word and campaigning for Blizzard's ultimate domination.

My bracket got totally screwed up this year. I was so damn close to pitching Mojang up against Valve, but in the end I decided that Nintendo would probably overtake them. Boy was I mistaken.
Mojang btw is the developer for Minecraft. If you don't know what that is, you've been living in a cave.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

IMO, when it comes down to it, Blizzard is making D3 and nothing else should sway you from voting for them. D3 should be enough for you to vote for them.

I'll vote Blizz for D3, not WoW. But I don't know man... Bethesda is doin work with Skyrim
What's the big deal with Skyrim anyway? All I see is a flashier version of Oblivion. And sure, that was a good game. But compared to Blizzard? Come on...

What the heck is Mojang AB and why did it beat Nintendo in round 1??
The makers of Minecraft. With minecraft being a mouth-to-mouth promoted gam, I don't think it's weird that they manage to collect more votes in a poll such as this even versus a giant like Nintendo. Will be interesting to follow their progress. They could very well win it all.

I don't know, they're gonna have to beat Valve in round five. That's gonna bet tough for them. As much as people like Minecraft, I think there are a whole lot more people on thescapist who like half-life/team fortress/portal. And with Portal 2 coming?

Yeah that's not going to happen. First of all, Bungie is getting it's ass handed to it by Bioware (no surprise), but even if that were not the case, they would both face each other before the finals due to the bracket structure
I think Bioware is going to take Blizzard, and then it'll be them against Valve. Though I hope for Blizzard.

They did release World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.
They're also aiming for a Diablo III and a StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm release for 2011 (according to Blizzard officials that i'm too lazy to find quotes from).
Blizzard was never going to win this. Even against the high unprobability that they were to beat Bioware, Valve would still have crushed them. Which is a shame, but that's how it is.

Well the final four isn't bad at all. And if all those WoW players would stop being addicted and had voted then they woulda won
By the sounds of it, Blizzard has lost. But when I go to the website, it still allows me to vote for Blizzard. Why is this? Do the votes still count? If not, who are the remaining two companies, Bioware and Valve?

Yeah that's not going to be a problem.
I'll pass on the hate today, but maybe tomorrow.
