Edit: Well... calling it Diablo 3 is speculation because of the focus on the term 'unannounced title.'
For conversation's sake, what is a "Title" anyway?

Fourth post, nice. I know I havent been on in a while.
Well if it is a Diablo MMO it would be ok i guess. I mean not what i was looking for but, eh, at least its something. Oh if it is Universe of Starcraft, I would be pretty pissed. Yes, I do know that it would be stupid for a Starcraft MMO to come out due to Starcraft 2's announcement but it may happen.
My logical guess would be Diablo or something new.
wow i saw the comments on gamasutra and heath kidd is a total dumbass: he says that Diablo is from the 90s and is too dark/hardcore to sell.
Does he not realize that those types of games can appeal to people. And who cares if its from the 90s if Blizzard makes it amazing it will still sell.

so long as the Diablo MMO isn't too much like WOW, I don't care too much either way.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
I have been getting PMs from new users that do not post in the forums.
They keep telling me that they have news about D3, but don't want it to get out to everyone yet.
I suspect that whatever it is, Blizzard is facing competition in 08 with God's and Heros and Warhammer online doing beta registration.
Warhammer has more than half a million already, so I would expect Blizzard to come up with something other than a WOW expansion.

Do you guys realize how much a new installment for Diablo would be??? seriously think about it. Warhammer and God's and heroes is nothing compared to anything that Blizz hands out.

Those before me shall quiver in my wake as I unleash the fury within!
And yes, I HATE that heathkid's comment. He has no idea on how big the 'darker' community in the world is. I'm not too excited if Diablo is a MMO, mainly because it would cost alot more for me (again, things always revolve around money). However, being Diablo, I would still pay for it. I love everything Diablo.
I would mind if it's an mmo, since you will pay a heck of a lot more just to play a game, but on the other side I've never played an mmo, so maybe it's worth the cost...
EDIT I've hanged my mind, I don't want to have D3 as an MMO!!! D3 WOW-style?? Like they would make it a lot more colourfull with wow-implemeted stuff? like neon-like weapons?! HELL NO!!
Diablo should stay like it is: an RPG, just like starcraft being an rts.
2nd edit: wait, they say it's an mmo, but what if it'll be like an MMOrts (like what the hell would that be like?!) or fps. man i'd be pissed if they'd do that.
I doubt Blizzard is so stupid that they forget what it is about Diablo we love. I mean, they do listen to what the fans say, and ALL of them say they want it to stay dark and rugged. And think about this, what if Diablo implimented a whole new way of playing? A hack and slash MMO. Instead of grinding on little mobs one by one, you can run into them like a barb and kill a ton. Sure the xp can be less, but killing a ton of demons for less xp each>killing demons one by one for more xp each.
They can change the way we MMO, grinding is usually one monster by one, make sure you don't pull more than you can kill. If instead you can run into a load of them and spam potions as you kill them all, thats basically Diablo only way bigger and everyone connected. I am completely open to a Diablo MMO, especially if its a Next-Gen. If Blizzard pulls it off right, a Diablo MMO will blow my mind, combining what I love from Diablo and WoW and merging it together.
I will support the Diablo MMO until it is proven to be a bad idea.
Amd this is their source (lol): http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html;jsessionid=BC8F0682596A98B2FE1E8A8EA381AC0D?topicId=3168513730&sid=1&pageNo=1
IT IS OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED.

You didn't read a word I said did you?
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

Diablo 3 is not going to be an MMO, the same way WoW and Warcraft IV are different.
See the original thread guys!
