I am wishing you all the best of times and hope that it takes your mind off of D3, if at least for a few hours. After that you should totally write your thoughts about the game in here. I'm actually curious.
Also, *yawn*, gnite folks!
Damn thing keeps freezing up on the downloader...
Went back to play some WoW before I throw the computer out of the window.
I too, have fallen victim to the evil old mmo in my diablo apathy.
What's worse is that i'm playing EVE and it's far worse than WoW at this point. Back to my research and pretending that I don't waste time and money on bad games.
I loved WOW and the memories it gave me honestly. That was probably my second favorite game of all time. The community aspect was really fun. Second to that was exploring. When the world was fresh to my eyes, there was nothing more fun than exploring. Me and wow had some good times, however brief they may have been. On top of that, all of those wonderful moments always occurred during the summer months when I had NOTHING to do. The responsibility in me wouldn't allow me to play them during school and athletics.
Plus, I think the stress of school and what not would have tainted the experience.
I mean...jesus man...There has not been too many instances in my life where I could wake up and do NOTHING but play games. Then go to sleep and do it all over again. Those were truly simpler times. I am glad I played wow.
Unfortunately my pursuits have pretty much limited any game play that I do.

How you doing Nekrodrac? Yeah I saw 2012 , we cries we did.
Oh but the beta looks slamming, D3 will be one of the greatest of this decade.
Am doing good, thanks; the usual you know- this time recruiting some squirrels and inoculating them with rabies in my new attempt to take over the world.
Oh ya, D3 looks sweet. I don't mind the delay at all actually since it ought to give me enough time to save for a new rig.
In other news, Skyrim looks like some beast of a game and so does Dark Souls. So there will be plenty of entertainment material, in terms of games, until D3 hits the front.
Can't complain.
@Link- Damn dude, that's awesome. Give us some feedback, will you. I actually didn't like PoE all that much from its trailer but after watching a few gameplay vids(of beta), I changed my mind. Its online-only thingy kinda still bugs me however. Guess it will be a nice warm-up to D3 all the same.

I agree with almost none of this, but WoW was fun for a while and definitely re-defined an industry (as blizzard always does).
Path of Exile. Very interesting, and very different. I have played alot of RPG games, both Action and Japanese RPG's. This one is...different... Not in a bad way though. You don't learn skills by leveling up, you get your skills from what might be compared to runes in D2. You then socket them (Or desocket them) into your gear. Additionally, your skills gain experience and level up as well.
What I find crazy is the passive skill system. It's fuckin' huge! A wee bit confusing and daunting, but still neat.
I am glad that Grinding Gears Games went and tried to shake things up though.
More as I play the game more.
Might even make a thread and an official review later.
Edit: As for the online only, it's free so it's not that big of a deal imo.
I loved playing Runescape back when it wasn't full of arrogant 12 year old piss drips. I haven't played it since I was 12 (eight years ago) and decided to check it out today. Lots of new stuff and very different than what I remember. It wasn't full of douche bags either.
Now... well I hope everybody on there rots and burns in hell.

As amazing as that is, there was some minor video editing done to it. You notice it with his clothing the most as the video speed changes a bit. I saw his shirt "jump" a few times.
He must have had a LOT of time on his hands to perfect that.

Edit x2:One more thing to remember, though.
Beta is Beta.

I was about to take a drink when reading this.
I'm glad I didn't, I laughed hard at this. "12 year old piss drips"

That kid has some talent. I've seen students doing similar stuff live before, but that was something else.
(Although I gotta say it leaves me with uneasy memories of doing the robot )
