And i bet you guys want this holy warrior to use a ****ing buble shield and become immune right when my soulfire crits you.
I never want to play a game again with those bastards.
See, there's something bad that happens when you just post something like that. You state your opinion, however with very little background and absolutely no basis or reason for your conclusion and you, in turn, appear very ignorant before the rest of the community.
Now tell us, why is it you don't like book wielding paladins with bubbles, and why do you never want to play with them again?
I guess it's because World of Warcraft has them, typical anti-World of Warcraft behavior.
Yes, how ignorant the hatred to World of Warcraft. Most of the hatred toward it is so unbiased. Most haven't even played the game, and those who have did so for like 1 hour just so they can say they did. It's pathetic.
I'm pissed too. Loved WoW's Paladin class as well. Its not over yet, I mean... in an expansion maybe? I'd love to have a unique Paladin class, that isn't based around Auras like D2. They certainly could think of fresh ways to do it.
And to be perfectly honest, the Monk looks stupid and clich?. I don't know whats with the merging of WoW style in the Diablo game. I love Warcraft, but its not Diablo. Its another style. But when I look at the Monk, I see more a Warcraft character than anything Diablo would offer.
Which is what really annoy me. The holy Warrior is just that monk. I'm disappointed.
I liked paladins too but i was also pretty pissed that they brought the barb back, i expected D3 to have all new classes now 4 new classes. So im happy hes not back and i hope i dont see any old classes come back as playable characters, unless they do an expansion with 2 new characters and 1 old one but the old one is much more improved than it was in D2.

I am very glad the Barbarian came back. He was not given a fair try in Diablo 2, and not to mention the Worldstone will be a very big issue in Diablo 3. As the defenders of the Worldstone, the Barbarian automatically has a huge role in correcting the mistakes of his people, for they take seriously the sacred oath of defending it.

Hhm well played.

I'm actually pleased that the Barbarian returned, he wasn't 100% done, and now is the perfect time for Blizzard to polish him
And I to hope that Blizzard won't be returning any old classes.
It's just not as fun to have an old class with a new skin.
So, that fits for the Barbarian? Obviously, any old class they bring back will be quite different. At least, if they brought back the Paladin in an expansion, I would not expect 2 entire trees of auras, and the same skills. It could be done very differently.
Well the classes can always be re-imagined and remade, but the point is we just dont want the old classes back.

I enjoy your ideas on the character class, and wanting to see auras return. I think they are a lot of fun and add some cool aspects to how a party works together as a team, which in itself is a key aspect of what can make playing diablo a lot of fun. I know that many people have their opinions about auras and feel that they were too over powered, but i believe that is simply a matter of tweeking the balance between skills ect. As i mentioned previously in my thread here: http://diablofans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18596 i thought it was a cool idea to have a ranged class have those auras, imo ofc. Im sure it would be really awesome to have that for a different style class as well.
I think Auras just have a broken concept for a game like Diablo. Its just immediately too useful to have a permanent buff applied on everyone in your party with no cost whatsoever. It doesn't matter what buff, that very concept is too much if you ask me, at least in a game like D3 where one class should never bring more than another to the party.
Can everybody please stop whining about the Necromancer. He's not coming back.
And the warrior from Diablo 1 well.. He's kinda dead <.<
Didn't say he will. Just saying I want him back. Beside that was a respond to some generalization post claiming no one want any of the old classes back.
I'm sure that guy from D1 wasn't the only Warrior around.
I'm a big fan of the Paladin too...I realize not everyone is.
I like the concept of a well balanced warrior melee/magic. I also like that the warrior answers to a higher calling. It's a good vs evil thing, and I get into that.
I realize that Blizz needed to change things up with the holy class, so that it wasn't more of the same. Still, as good as the Monk is/will be, it's not quite the same as a Paladin or Templar Knight character.

The Paladin will be missed, at least by me anyway
Thats probably one of the biggest thing about the paladin I love. Being able to take the hits but still deal out nasty spell damage. The Barbarian was awesome as a melee only, the sorceress amazing as a spellcaster only, but the Paladin was the perfect blend.

Yes, they can be re-imagined and remade, but a monk is not a re-imagination of the Paladin. I think its actually a failure to the Paladin. I hope that they do in fact give him a grand entrance in the moment they need him most, and that would be in an expansion. If he rides in on a horse enlightened, both armored to the teeth, and he jumps off and unsheathes a sword of light and secures his shield on his arm...I'll bust a nut.
Oh i wasnt talking about the monk being the new paladin, i meant the re-imagine thing in general for all the classes theyve made so far.
