No offense but do you even know what a inquisitor is? xD
Let me hint you: An inquisitor was a 'soldier' in an organization or program intended to eliminate heresy and other things frowned on by the Roman Catholic Church.
Sounds like a holy/good guy to me, not evil. xD
And an inquisitor sounds pretty lame to me, can't we stop having god supporting based classes? >.>
Obviously you need to check your history. Yes they did try nd wipe out heresy, but they also vstly abbused the powers that the church gave them.
Persecuting even those for minor happenings. Drowning epileptics because there were possessed. killing those that wrote the + or - sign. They were signs straight from the devil himself apparently. Not to mention threatening those that could not pay them off.
So an inquisitor probably would fit in diablo 3 as an enemy.
Also... smells a bit like sacred 2
even though blizzard claims that the only returning class is the barbarian, i believe that the rest of the classes will be returning as well. i mean, check it out: the witch doctor is basically just a different form of the necro. they both summon things, cast DPS spells, etc. The wizard is basically just like the sorceress: casts of alot of elemental DPS spells crap all over the place. can teleport and do other freaky stuff. so what does this mean? there is going to be a ranger aka amazon, and there is going to be a guardian of sorts aka paladin. some more evidence for this is that if you look at teh gameplay videos, you will see that there exists a bow in the inventory at one point in time. is the barb going to wield that? HECK NO! I rest my case. PEACE
I expect Blizzard to do what they've always done, and impress me with something of a much greater quality than I originally anticipated. Who knows what they'll release next, and who knows what they will release in the final version of the game? I will speculate that the next class that they reveal will surprise most fans.
We definitely know there will be a ranged class. Its an inevitable archetype Blizzard isn't just going to break, it wouldn't be Diablo without one.
As far as Necro = WD, I'm bout to shit all over someone's face for that one, rofl. Though they fit the same type of "evil caster with some summons" archetype, I don't think it is safe to say WD is replacing Necro as Wizard is replacing Sorc. As I have said many times before in a variety of different threads, Blizzard has already mentioned that they want to make the WD feel much different than the Necro so if they decide to bring him back in an expansion, he will still be a viable option without feeling like two of the same class already exists. That being said, until we see much more of what Witch Doctor has to offer, we really can't be sure that Necro is down for the count.

There are no stupid questions, just a bunch of inquisitive idiots.
My geuss would be the Paladin will be replaced with something like a 'Monk' a melee type class that makes use of holy powers etc... I know there was a Monk in D1's expansion, Hellfire but Sierra released that not Blizzard, so technically speaking it's not a returning class
My problem with guessing the next class is I hope Blizzard finds a way to combine some of the archetypes. Blizzard is so good at coming up with unique characters, it would not be a problem for them to come up with some original classes rather than 1. ranged 2. pally replacement. I think they could mix ranged/holy or agile/support or ranged/support or holy/agile. I just hope that the last two classes are something more original with a blend of archetypes rather than just the same ones we had in D2.

I am definitely positive that one of the next classes will be a ranged class but i just hope (and have no doubt) that they will make that ranged class really really cool but without thirty different types of passive dodge lol
rofl.. foot dodge, waist dodge, turn sideways dodge, slightly turn head in the other direction dodge..
I love paladins they rock. There the only class i play in all games. Wow,d2 all that stuff. They rock:cool:. It would not be a Diablo game without two things, Diablo and a type of paladin/knight which we yet to have.

Priest is not always a healer.
How about an inquisitor then, theres a post in here about inquisitor class suggestion which seems nice.
It would work nicely with the lore too and inquisitor could be somewhat evil person.
