Most likely, although we don't really know how demon ranks go besides Greater Evil/Lesser Evils/The rest of the lot. Or perhaps that is revealed more in one of the other books?
Nah, nothing is revealed. Only that Astrogah is Diablo's 'dog' aka favoured pet thing, and Gulag is Baal's favourite pet. Also, in Demonsbane Assur is Diablos favoured Baron - though I honestly don't know what that means. Is it like a General? I know its something obvious but I just don't know it.
Hah, thanks mvm. But man, in that case you'd fairly easily be able to learn to draw people/places. Well, atleast its easier to transfer drawing skills to another type than trying to learn drawing from the start.
Are you sure those are all Gulag though? I'll have to read it again, but I thought they were all different demons, and gulag was only ever some form of rock or wall.
I don't think the fire snake on the cover is him though, I think the snake is just a metaphor for Lilith and his struggle with her. 'Scales of the Serpent' - Lilith is described as scaley, is anything else? I was always kind of confused where the title came from.

I never read the books so I really should have no say in this, but maybe by Baron it's meant that Assur keeps dominion over some part of Hell so Diablo doesn't have to worry about it, and perhaps he does a darn good job of it, which would make him a good Baron (Barons are like Counts, right?)
Baroness is top rank "female characters" can get in softcore d2
and Baron is top rank "male characters" can get in softcore d2
But players are not demons, and have nothing with the demon hierarchy to do, therefore it's doubtful human titles have anything to say about what a Baron is in Hell.
Diablo and his buddies are referred to as Lords though, so it only makes sense that other ranks of nobility are incorporated into their servants titles as well.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
You're right. How stupid of me. Then kurast would be the east ... hmmm Japan, Thailand, lol. And Australia would be like Harrogath. And Scosglen for Canada. LOL. The necro city .... south africa. LOL

lol, actually, that kind of makes sense, with the Ayers Rock idea. But, Australia is not a cold country. I think Harrogath - wait, Harrogath is a city, not a peice of land. Its just called 'Barbarian Tribes', which is kind of weird. It needs a better name. But anyway, whatever it is, I'd say its the equivalent of Russia.

In Britain a Baron is the lowest royality
Yeah, Barons in Hell are definitely not low ranked. Not Assure.
I think we gotta stop comparing to actual REAL LIFE situations lol

Its different for sc classic and sc xpac along with hardcore classic and xpac

Sorry, I have nothing real to contribute to this thread lol
