Its going to be funny when Torclight 2 beats you in all aspects of poor design Diablo 3 is. A $20 game.. is going to be 10x better then what you gave us!
Torchlight? more like Horselight! Amirite! har har har

"Hey, I thought you'd like the witty irony of grub-on-glowie violence!"
To be fully honest, I tried the Torchlight 2 beta and it just didn't feel like the first Torchlight.
I'm not sure what they changed that made the game feel completely different (and a lot less Diablo-cloneish), but character movespeed and animations feel a lot clunkier than in the first Torchlight. I don't know really, it just felt different.
Did anyone else got to try it and felt this as well?
With all due respect, please keep this mindless whining on the Bnet forums.
TL2 looks as gay as semen on a mustache. It's time to move on for those of you whom were disappointed. We just want the forum to be a place to discuss strategy, builds, items and perhaps some constructive critique...but this troll garbage has run it's course, thank you.

Its going to be funny when you actually PLAY TL2, and realize its not the game your thinking it is.
Also, when you get banned from the offical forums for being a troll, coming on here and posting to Blizzard will get you nothing, this is a FAN site, in no way affiliated with Blizzard.
It's going to be <positive adjective> when <soon-to-be-released game> beats you in every way due to Torchlight 2's <negative adjective> gameplay. <Positive aspect of new game> is going to make it 10x better than what you gave us!

...and if you disagree with me, you're probably <insert random ad hominem attack here>.
Did anyone else got to try it and felt this as well?
Yeah, I didn't think the torchlight 2 demo was very impressive at all. I loved that the maps were more random than Diablo's. But the skills were all weird. You spent most your time OOM on a potion cooldown and that every spell looked "super cool awesome" they all ended up looking the same and a little more boring in the end. No subtlety at all.
No dedicated server can cheat easily. Cartoon style might not appeal to alot of people. Mob intelligence very poor from the beta i could kite everything. Its a causal game.

Dear Laonar,
Quality is like beauty; It's in the eye of the beholder.
Sincerely,
Those of us who does not have a blind hatred towards Diablo 3
I 100% agree with you. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
But that being said, I love D3. I love the farming, the AH's and the MF and the Paragon leveling and I even love the overall difficulty. If I had to say anything bad about Diablo the only thing I could say is that I don't like how you can't mail items to friends, which is a complete non issue.
That being said, Torchlight 1, for a single player game, was absolutely amazing and made D2 look like crap as far as gameplay goes. If TL2 lives up to TL1 then yeah, TL2 will be a better game than D3 with the only real point of argument being the art styles between the 2 games. I personally love the more cartoonish style of the TL series while I am sure many others like the serious and dark art style of the Diablo series.
Either way, I will still play them both because quite frankly, I have enough cash in my paypal account from D3 right now to buy MoP, TL2, and pay my WoW sub for 4 more years. All from playing a video game for an hour a day.
I really dont understand why some ppl hate or complaint about D3 and Blizzards..
seriusly guys they are doing a LOT of work!!
we paid for a game that is constantly updated and expanded!
sure enough, here comes into play the personal taste..
but honestly, how many other games are updated and renewed / extended FREE??
Its absolutely not updated/extended/renewed for free.
I am not spouting conspiracy theories here either. Simple fact of the matter is that if games aren't updated and improved then sales will drop as more and more people badmouth it for not fixing bugs and updating things. Also, Diablo 3 with the RMAH is going to also keep Blizzard interested in doing updates because that is a respectable source of revenue for them.
Agreed, I'm so happy D3 has not yet succumb to any sort of exploit...
Cartoon style might not appeal to alot of people.
True, I mean, why would anyone use cartoonish, WoW-like art for a game which is supposed to be dark and gritty? Makes no sense.

Agreed here as well. I love how difficult it is to kite mobs in D3. It's not like you can just kite them into a ledge and blow them up from the other side.

And you think, what; they're working on the game out of the kindness of their hearts? No, they are working on the game because they have revenue projections. They want the RMAH to bring in cash for years. They don't want to be pegged as the team which screwed up Diablo. They did not deliver a good game out of the gate and that hurts their bottom line.
Don't be naive, if the effort was not expected to pay off they would cut their losses and move on (as any responsible company would do). I don't mean to imply that they are all a bunch of money hungry bastards who care nothing for their customers, I don't think that is even remotely true. However, they're not going run the business into the ground to please us either.

On a side note, OP, this is a really dumb thread.
