I would think SC may be a better medium to attract members. Diablo isn't really the kind of game where guilds are appealing. Most sc members are d2 fanatics, or from my experience at least. I thought about trying to get starcrafttwo.com forum split into a guild type forum to build a strong community. I bet SC would be an easy place to recruit.
well if we start recruiting people from games and not have them come to us. there could be more people. which would mean more active. which would mean better guild. im going to start seeing if people want to join the guild on diablo.
I left because this guild is not run by you or Thasador or such, it is run by a guy who's maturity I don't trust. It's simple. People don't join guilds if they don't like the leadership. You may be managing a lot of things, but still, in reality, Silver may always overrule you if he throws some fit.
I do realize i dont know u as well as u know Elfen. But it sounds like ur basing ur judgment of my leadership upon the simple fact that i may one day
" throw a fit" . I have Been here quite along time and Elfen as well and considering we are both Staff members here chosen by the people, its hard to assume people have the same beliefs as u. I have yet to "throw a fit" and doubt i ever will. I chose Elfen as my 2nd in command due to himself sharing the same beliefs as I. I respect his decision making skills and dont think i have ever questioned the Just of them.
Congrats on being the first person here at diablo3.com to question my maturity level. I do not see ur reasoning behind that
Luckily its a little known fact here at diablo3.com that 95% of the members here usually are opposed to ur thoughts, reasoning and beliefs Equinox

I hope to god you dont join us. Bitch.
Im very happy to see such a strong response to my idea. I can tell you that we are definately going on the idea of disbanding the legions. It is in motion. Myself and a few others are currently in the process of combining ideas and trying to put them into practice.

This post is an example of your immaturity, Silver. Never will Elfen write a post like this, and my vote goes to him.
People who question your maturity just don't do so in public because you can write posts like these to them, and then sidekicks like Jarhead can poke at them. But I am not afraid of any of you.
And what kind of leader are you, if:

Before the leaders of SICK begin to focus on increasing membership, perhaps we should think about strengthening the membership SICK has already. A strong foundation needs to be laid, otherwise the guild will break down and eventually collapse.
Mm? With your charisma you'd think you could reunite the guild or something. This guild was around for a WHILE. But you guys don't even have a standard.
As temporary commander of GXAII I would like to throw in my two cents. No one in my legion is active at all. I sent out PM's and e-mails, and no response. I had bred a barbarian on Diablo II to split the items for my legion members. There was no demand, so I just gave GhostZ the whole account since he was in need of barbarian gear. He isn't in GXAII, and I don't care, he's in SICK. I agree that it should all just be SICK. It works the same way in Counter Strike. We would have teams A and B in a certain clan and B would want to be A... it was a huge mess. I wanted to help out GXAII but there is no one to help out.
I beg to differ. I have attempted to start conversations in the GXAII thread, but to no avail. I may not be as active on USWest as I used to be, but yes, I still play the game and still enjoy it.
However, that aside, I also support the idea of dissolving legions until a strong member base can be established. It would maybe allow the members to interact more with the guild as a whole, rather than just a few people who may or may not even play the same games they do.
Though, as a new member, I feel I should mention that I was pretty hesitant to join when I was given the opportunity to do so. One major reason for this being the fact that several members of SICK are constantly at each others' throats, bickering and fighting just for the sake of doing so. I understand that people have their differences, but honestly, there's no reason to constantly insult and/or flame your fellow guildmates just because you can. It creates rifts within the ranks, people take sides, and those that don't take sides are left in the middle, feeling uneasy and struggling to hold onto whatever remains.
I'm not asking for people to have revelations and change their opinions of others; however, I am asking for a little discretion to be used. If you feel the need to call someone a moron (whether they deserve it or not), keep it to yourself or flame each other via PM. Allowing arguments like that to be seen in "public" just indicates a lack of unity and probably disuades newcomers from joining up with SICK.

Not to ruin your defense. It just so happens you and Elfen have probably been in these forums the longest. It's not your charisma, intelligence, or maturity that landed you in any leadership position. You're both just simply the most well known. So before you wave your medal of "I was chosen because I'm the best for the job" attitude. It's merely your longetivity in these forums. Don't start praising eachother as staff members. The only reason this forum ever went into a riot about needing more staff members, was simply because neither of you did anything. I'm not attempting to flame. I'm just pointing out the truth.
Ty all for Backing Me. For it was I who founded the idea for a d3 guild. The people voted me to lead them And I appointed Elfen as my Ranking General.(also due to popular demand) This is how its been since the birth of SICK
Elfen Commands the Legions and i run the guild as the final decision maker
Never knew about that my lord. My humblest apologies to you.
I'm glad that now i know why you are considered a god.
[Other than your daily activities, lol. They are godly]
@Elfen- I knew that a Legion had members in a mass number and thats why i said the groups working under SICK could not be called Legions.

I think if you scratch all of the sub guilds. Change the name of SICK. Which by the way is a horrible, unappealing guild name. Got rid of the whole role playing religion where everyone is suppose to praise Lord Silver. Advertised in both SC/D2/WoW. Provided actual interesting activities for the guild. Guild competitions, etc etc. This guild could be alot more successful.
Getting rid of the religion roleplay maybe good. But we will have to respect out higher ups.

Since we are "re-rolling" the heirarchy can we also "re-roll" the mods.
Since Siaynoq is gone, Equinox is "retired" and I rarely see Phrozen on, how about making all the new "ranking officials" mods.
Silver and Elfen will remain of course, then commanders and pilus priors and maybe even decurions (not sure what the new titles will be or how many of each there will be). I will assume that the people that are going to be in these new postions will be active.

Give, expecting nothing thereof. ------------ BoD - Come have some fun! Folks will always come and go, so enjoy them while they're meant to be in your life.
I seriously believe that the people now holding the ranks will be removed. If more worthy people are found.
And, for the mod thing I'll appreciate Thas's work. He's the best mod from my point of view.

Most likely - and I have no problem with this - it's for the greater good.

No one should actually have problem with this. Any decision taken by our higher-ups will be for our welfare.

Does the word Optional mean anything to you? To me, it means either I can choose to do something, or I can choose not to do something, no one is forcing my hand. But hey, that's just me.

New mods 'd be nice, especially among the more active members. We still have Thasador, tho. People seem to think that moderation has something to do with popularity. *rolls eyes*
