The Eastern Sun Mod for Diablo II: Lord of Destruction appears to have a big following here on DiabloFans.com, so here's an "official" thread, for us to discuss the game.

For newcomers who are interested, you can download the mod HERE.


Just to get the ball rolling, here are a couple of common questions concerning some [possibly strange] things you'll see in the game:

1. What does a DRAGON STONE do?

2. How do you open the Secret Cow Level? Is it the same as in Diablo 2: Lord of Desctruction?

I'm confused about the Dragon Stone as well. I believe it is a Horadric cube recipe component.

as far as i know. the dragon stone can transformed into different things. i think liek 7 or something. you have to right click it. and it changes. and the dragon stone is a component used for the horadric cube.

if you go to the link john used. there is a wiki link that will help. and on top of the site on the homepage there are weapons and armor links and what not.

There are a lot of strange things to collect.
Save everything. You can re-roll charms, armor, weapons etc.

Acid - what was your secret to getting the TCP/IP game to work? None of us are having any luck.

I can't go on open Battle.net. It won't let me get the patch or something.

If you want to play together you can easily set up a Hamachi virtual network. It's quite easy.

1. Everyone download Hamachi from www.hamachi.cc (you don't have to pay anything, you don't have to register, just click the right links and download it for free.)

2. Someone creates a network with a name and a pass. Everyone that wants to play Eastern Sun gets the name and password somehow, probably by PM.

3. You log into the network, get into the game and play. It's really simple, you can immediately see if someone is connected, talk to them through the software and get together immediately.

The owner of the virtual network aslo does NOT need to be online for everyone else to play.

So, one of you who actually play this mod, set it up and get playing with each other!

EDIT: This lets you play through TCP/IP just like normally, except you could be anywhere in the world.

Didn't I tell you to explore the depths of the maggot lair until you find the valley of snakes, (the maps are changed) then walk out of the valley and BAM! cows. (but you will die)

I'll give you one little tip: When entering the name of the network yoy wish to join, the name is CASE SENSITIVE. I don't know how many times I've failed to join because I didn't get the letters right :rolleyes:

What does this all add? Anything new besides a few items and tougher enemies?

shit is sweet got a lvl 16 sin and it owns, but im only at dark wood lol..... pretty sweet from what ive seen. def worth lookin into. if anyone wants to play pm me

I will remake my sorceress and I will make a barbarian or necromancer. If its a necromancer, it will be a bone and summon one.

Now just have to get the hosting down. I have tried using Hamachi with LinikX - we still had problems.

My only problem with the summon necro is that the minions on this one are incredibly stupid, and just wander around.

Yeah but you get tons of exp.

Ohh I can't wait til I get a real hugh level, and get some runes and make some of those badass runewords. Anyone see the 6soc body armor called insight? 200mf, +5 to all skills.

There is even a low level charm runeword that gives 5% extra exp eh.

I love how good the drops are at the beginning, I got 3 12% mf gcs on my way to kill andariel and I got all of the sanders volley set in the claw viper temple.
