PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
Are your sources becoming illusive and mysterious?
lol ... looks like they are. I trust them, if they say they don't know. Even if I get that impression in the back of my mind. Blizzard is divided by departments and not everyone knows what the other one is doing. However, I will get answer as soon as they ask the Devs or people involved in the patch.
actually, I don't interpret blizzard being 'too busy to tell us anything or make a new patch' as them being too busy with DIII. Instead, I interpret it as 'we don't have enough of a team working on the Diablo world to make a new patch' lol.
it could really go either way though. Its just this instance to me seems like its going the bad way
remember, i said 'to me', and I still believe in DIII.
How far can patches go as to adding in game content?
Can they change anything that they want? Add in anything that they want?
(sorry if this is off-topic) I don't know much about the capabilities of patches.. maybe they might implement something that will get us ready for D3? o.0
That would be nice.

Watching 240 guys talk trash about cavaliers is like two retards having a slapfight over a sippy cup.
Well, whatever you guys say here, when they announce D3 they will have to make D2 LOD patches simply because they will have to.... pump life back into the old game. Most D2 players don't play anymore, but when they announce D3 these players will get revved back up and want to refresh themselves. er... hopefully anyways.
I have no idea what the hell I just said.

What is normal? Normal is a concept that everyone or a majority of people are the same or similar. However, we know that everyone is unique. If everyone is unique, then everyone is different. If everyone is different, then everyone is weird. If everyone is weird, then everyone is normal.
That would be interesting... Lead into a third Diablo game using the second one by patching it... It sounds... Ingenious. Has it ever been done before?
I think Blizzard should patch Diablo II and create three more quests - to replace the blank, missing ones from Act IV. It would seem suitable, since they are in Hell, and that would seem like a good place to pick up from in Diablo III. Maybe one of the quests deals with discovering Azmodan and Belial's war, maybe another one deals with destroying Baal's soulstone, with a stronger opposing force to get the the Hell Forge, or maybe... Dare I say it? Maybe one of the quests deals with the recreation of the Soulstones and the ressurection of the Prime Evils...

hmm... I seriously doubt they will add new quests. Probably a no-cd patch, along with new items, runes, and rune-words.
Edit: and the naked cowboy!!!

I remember hearing that Adria the witch, from Diablo I, was rumored to give a quest in a new patch. I'm sure it's all bologna, but it's fun to imagine...
Far as I know, Frank Pearce said the Diablo team currently has 40 developers.
That was 2 years ago when they first made mention to team 3 wasn't it? They have recruited a fair number of people since then, like 4 level designers only the other month.
So did we ever here whether or not they will reset the ladders when the patch comes out?
They just reset the Ladder in June 2007. Seeing as most ladders last 2 years at least, I don't think so, unless they mean to release it in 2009 sometime.
Basically, there's a patch in the works, supposedly for Diablo, because it was announced in China. MedievalDragon keeps us up to date on these things, since he has very good inside sources in Blizzard, like story writers and the like, and is a highly respected member of many fansites, including this one.
I had to think of something to say.
Chaos, Panic, Disastor, my work here is done.
Make it idiot-proof and somone will make a better idiot.
