Will I be able to play it at max details and resolution with no slowdowns?
I would say on high settings, not on ultra or another higher tier setting.
I have a question. I did see a Amd Radeon HD 6370M on the list, does anyone know if that will work for a the same number accept a D on the end? cause thats what I have -__- I sure as hell hope it does, I dont have money to go out and buy a new video card
Depending on your other pc specs, you'll be able to play on medium to high with that gpu
I have a question regarding HDD's, and instead of creating a whole thread for it I thought it would be better to just post it in here. I'm currently in need of a new Hard-drive for my PC and was wondering if anyone knew of any good ones with nice RPM and internal/external transfer rates within a price range of 100$-250$.
Hey all, stoked for the release!!! Computer is 7 years old and looking to get a new one relatively inexpensively...
Was wondering if I could get some input if this would be able to run Diablo 3 before I buy it..... Thanks in advance!
Intel i5 2320 processor
8 GB Memory
1 TB Hard Drive
AMD HD 7350 graphics with 1 GB VRAM

That's quite a difference in price. I could recommend a lot for 100 and a lot for 250. If you have 250 are you sure you don't wanna get an ssd? Gosh, they have lots of 120GB ssd's lately for about a dollar a gig. You could buy two of them! So if you more specific maybe I could help you more. Otherwise that would be my recommendation. But if you're set on getting an HDD, you also have a ton of options with that price range. And do you have SATA 3 on your mobo or not?
If it's just RPM stats you're looking for, they have those Velociraptors that are 10k RPM, and there are some other makes that even go as high as 15k RPM I think. But once you start getting that high of an RPM speed it really is better to consider an ssd or maybe even a hybrid which is what I'm currently using.
This is a great thread! I would very much appreciate some advice. I am in sudden need of a new laptop, and it needs to be cheap. Should this one be able to run Diablo III reasonably well (playably, I mean--it doesn't have to be beautiful and perfect)? Here are the stats:
CPU: AMD A6-3420M 2.4GHz quad-core
GPU: ATI Radeon 6520G
Memory: 6GB, but can be upgraded to 16
I know the graphics card is integrated, but it does well exceed the minimum requirements according to Blizzard's site. While I'd really been wanting something with discrete graphics, this laptop is a fantastic price after rebates.
Yeah you got plenty of RAM and that processor speed is just fine too. I'm...not terrible familiar with the different Radeon models but from what I read I think you'll be okay with that one.
They should give you more information on your HDD. I'd wanna know what RPM and cache size it has.

Thanks. That's very encouraging. It's 5400 RPM, 4MB L2 cache.
Hi ! If anyone knows how much quality a graphics card had, please help !!!
I just bought a laptop with these specs:
4GB RAM
CORE I5 processor 2nd genereation
windows 7
nvidia GEFORCE GT 520 M with cuda...
I downloaded the sacred 2 demo because d3 ans this game look and play similarly. The options they automatically gave me were medium setting graphics, but I ran on very high details with minor slowdowns...
For d3...I cant play a game on low graphics, I hate it...Medium or high at least for me, and I want to play the game smoothly too...
Can all my wishes be fulfilled ? thank you all
Edit: I sometimes have the impression that even if I run a game at max settings smoothly, I still dont obtain te graphics I see on youtube. Is it possible ? That my graphics card can handle a game but isn't technically good enough to render amazing graphics ?
WoW! SOO happy i found this thread! Immensly helpful with the passmark/benchmark links. I've been piecing together a new computer, trying to get the most bang for my buck and shooting for $500. This has helped me find some great deals on pieces that should be able to run D3 very well.
For anyone looking to do the same heres some stuff i've found!
Athlon II X4 631 quad processor Great bang for the buck, $70 and a score of 4352 on passmark
Geforce GTX 460 Also great deal i found one at $129 with a score of 2371 on passmark
Well you should definitely upgrade to 4GB of RAM and not just for D3 but because you just should.
I'm not terribly familiar with Radeon cards as I am Nvidia. I looked this one up though and it does seem a bit dated and you may have to turn some effects down in the game, possibly you'll have to run several things at medium settings.
I think the game recommends a quad core processor but I'd be more worried about your GPU. It's probably time for an upgrade.
Here's my computer:
Pentium E2180 running at 2800 Mhz
4 GB RAM
Geforce 9600GT 512 MB
What I'm aiming for is 1680x1050 resolution with minimum details, would it work, or do I need to upgrade?
Unless somebody in beta has similar specs, I think you are going to have to wait and see. Your numbers are almost identical to mine, and from what I can tell, our video cards are good for about medium settings, CPU the same if we look at the minimum Intel score, but below the minimum AMD score.
My hope is that we should be able to run at medium, maybe with a couple things set to low. Shadows usually tax my machine in other games.
Yours:
CPU Score: 1122
GPU Score: 931
Mine: (Core 2 Duo E4300 @ 1.8GHz, GeForce 9800 GT)
CPU Score: 1050
GPU Score: 916
Thank you very much LordSnow
I was starting to get worried there.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Based entirely on the information in the OP, I think you'll be good to go on medium detail. Maybe even higher.
I already bought it today, and I think I'm getting a new laptop next month, but I'd like to be able to play it on Sunday.
Even on the lowest settings with reduced resolution?
