Prob only in features, not a full DX11 support, almost like WoW. I know Sc2 doesn't have Dx11 i don't even know if at ultra it usess some features of Dx11 but I hope to god they do I want this game to look beutiful.

Sadly it runs on Dx 10 or maybe it was 9 can't remember which. definetley not Dx10.1 or 11 though. This is yes because Dx 10.1 was harder to achieve but is now much easier and Dx11 was born with the series that came out just last year or 2 years ago. They also might have an update where you can put in Dx 11 features I know thats how WoW works, I have everything maxed on WoW at Dx11, but WoW is a different story. I'n wow you can change your view and look around at everything meaning things in the distance have to be there, which is why tessellation will work so well in WoW, other than that D3 doesn't need any Dx11 features since it is a fixed perspective. You wont be looking dead ahead at mountains so tessellation isn't needed. Same with Starcraft which is the main reason no features of Dx11 have been put in place.

What about the lighning of DX 11? Will that be part of the features? That will make D3 more immersive for sure! Im so worried that it will look dated DX9 and all. Please a blue post?
If by "DirectX 11" you mean "tesselation", extremely doubtful. You don't get tesselation for free simply by upgrading your renderer to DX11. It requires modifications to the models and textures--an investment of time and resources I doubt Blizzard is willing to make at this stage. Maybe in an expansion pack :|
At best, they'll use DX10/11 features that are almost like flipping a switch (like FSAA, as Bashiok mentioned).

Would be nice to know what features they are think off or will be implemented. So there is hope, if D3 looks super good now, it can only get better. DX11 will be total overhaul I do understand that it will take way more time, as development was started long time ago as we all know.

Can't think of any major optiosn from Dx11 that D3 can use but there are prob some minor features. WoW has alot of Dx11 and SC2 has Dx9 with Dx10.1 features i think. We have to wait for release they are missing alot of the graphics options from the beta.

Yes, so either way we are in for more eye candy, hopefully on release
Probably won't be that big of an improvement over the videos we've seen (in HD), of which Blizzard would have wanted to show the absolute best game at the highest settings.

Na they said alot more graphics options, akin to SC2 which has i think 4 times as many right now they don't even have FSAA active which I think they should've activated for press at least It makes a HUGE difference smooths out the edges real nice and gives the game a more polished look, plus everything blends better.

True, FSAA truly makes a big difference. On lower end systems this option will not do though...

Agreed. Most systems won't be able to take advantage of FSAA, but thats all in the system. The game, how it's meant to be played, at high res, with every detail maxed, will look absolutely phenomenal. SC2 running on Dx9 and 10.1 features looks better than some console games today. i have no doubt Blizzard has not failed us with this one either.

To be completely honest, I'm not optimistic we'll see any DX10/11 effects. DX10+ is so different from DX9, it'll take a lot of programmer time to implement... and that time is better spent making the game as broadly compatible as possible so the most people can play it (and so Blizzard can make the most money).
To be completely honest, from what Ive seen in the HD streams this game isnt even much better looking than Titan Quest, visually. I dont see any major difference and TQ was DX9.
FSAA is already confirmed in game and should eb activated during the beta maybe when closed beta starts. the oiption is there for beta so hopefully we see what the game looks like running with FSAA on. The problem of Dx10 and + taking too much programming time is not really a problem considering they probably already have Dx10 or 10.1 features ready to go. Just Dx11 is a question because its been so recent compared to 10.1 or 10. plus almost any system should run Dx10 fine nowadays, 10.1 too.

Especially because the engine is probably the same form the announcement 3 years ago, and dx11 was not born, IIRC.

Thank you
This does not answer my question. FSAA (full-scene anti-aliasing)
Hoping have time, meaning so that it can be implemented into final release? If not with a patch later on?
