the solution is the problem here, they restore without deleting the source.....they been exploited for doing it bad....their fault ....not mines. they want to bring boa because they been exploited...but once again ......they arent doing it right....and someone will pay for it in a way or another at some point
Restore without deleting the source? The source of the dupe is your original item, which has been sold after you got hacked. The buyer of the item had no idea that the item was duped and therefore is the most innocent person of all involved in this situation. Why should they be punished? No way. So, the only way is to not dupe (i.e., not restoring your account), or if they decide to restore your account, make it BoA.
What exactly is Blizzard's fault? Are you saying it's Blizzard's fault to fix up the mess you left behind when you got hacked? Blizzard does more than enough to tell you to protect the account, they introduced more account security measures than every other company and tell you how to protect your account several times. Dupes only exist because people get hacked (and hackers exploit this by mimicking this stupidity). It sounds harsh but every other way to look at this is just a distorted perception of reality.

maybe i didnt been hacked at all and maybe i still been affected by dupes economic impact, maybe blizzard is the only one that are duping at the moment with their restoration system.
imagine i print money......and purchase things with it....that would be so sad to remove it from circulation since the innoccent seller took my money....why would they be punished...? no way ....so the only way... (get it?)
Blizzard restores your items if you get hacked. That's more than you can expect, in my opinion. It's just the items you had on you at the time when you were hacked that are BoA, it doesn't mean that you won't be able to trade anymore in the future, c'mon. If your gear is worth a couple of billions and you get hacked - I'm sorry to say this - it's your fault.
You people don't get that the reason for dupes is exactly Blizzard's customer service being so nice to people who are too stupid to protect their accounts properly. Dupes are just the result of fixing user's mess beyond what they have to offer according to their ToS. Yeah, flame on if you're offended, I don't care. Have fixed too many computers in my life (and traced back at which point the user made a mistake that caused him to get hacked) to feel sorry for people who get hacked. It's usually a lesson for life and once you feel the pain you're more careful next time.

You're not getting the point.
If you get hacked, it's your fault. Your items are now BoA so they're not going anywhere. Instead of two dupe-able items, there is only one that's floating around out there. Yes, it won't stop duping for good, but it won't be as worthwhile for the duper and his potential accomplices since they can only do it one at a time. In that case, it is also much easier for Blizzard to track, because the duping results are linear.
Picture the current duping epidemic. It's a massive web with items being duped in numerous directions via numerous sources.
BoA; duping goes in one direction because only one copy of the item exists that is not BoA. It will be easy to track back to the origin.
at this point then the solution would be no restoration at all
at this point then the solution would be no restoration at all
That's why you only get two rollbacks. First time it's okay. Second time is pushing it. Third time, you've struck out. IMO, they should just give each account just one rollback. Hell, if I were to be legitimately hacked (knock on wood), one rollback would be enough for me to come to my senses and fortify my account with every piece of technology available at my disposal.

Blizzard is only duping because SOMEONE got hacked (or pretended to get hacked, it's absolutely impossible to tell the difference if done right). There are three options: 1) accept that there are dupes 2) account restoration with BoA items 3) no account restoration.

Let me add to that:
1) Accept that there are dupes - straightforward, get over it and just accept the game as is. Solves nothing, but in the long-run, might make you feel somewhat better... mentally, anyway.
2) Account restoration with BoA - give the hackee a second chance, he might have made a mistake if he was hacked legitimately. If he's a duping accomplice, then the gear cannot be duped any further (unlike the current state).
3) No account restoration - as much as I would like the hackee to be punished for his/her own stupidity, this is the more radical way of stopping dupes. Once you're hacked. Too bad, you're hacked.
Jaetch, your zeal to punish the hackee seems to overwhelm your sense of decency (wanting to punish the hacker) - which I know you have, because you refuse to buy dupes (a stance I much admire).
Obviously, the hacker is to be punished as well. That's really Blizzard's job though, since us peons cannot do anything about catching and hanging the felon. The one feasible way to at least partially solve the problem for now is to go to the source—for the legitimate hackees anyway—and make sure these guys are educated in account safety.
FYI, I'm all for the BoA and a single rollback for a second chance. I'm not for the "no account restoration" solution. That is real punishment for the hackee.
P.S. - call it tough love if you will. "Oh, you poor hackees, we're looking out for you, don't worry. Just please don't be stupid."
I would have to agree with the account bound idea. I for one would have to say if you get hacked having the option of an authenticator and chosing not to use one.... Well, that is just plain asking for trouble. In this day and age, if you get hacked, it is less a hack and more user stupidity and should not be rewarded with dupe items...
Blizz should require an authenticator- you playing some of the most popular games ever made (talking about the catalog) and are a focus of the hackers' and their massive logon programs.
Selling more would drive down the price a bit as well. I know this has been discussed at Blizz many times they just need to do it with the next SC launch.
The day I am required to buy an authenticator is the day I stop buying Blizzard games.
Not saying that what I think matters anything.
Just saying.
They really should just package a keyfob authenticator with their games at this point.
I agree with you though. I purchased my authenticator gladly. I would not have been very pleased, at all, if they mandated a security addon to my account, even if I could get it for free on my phone.

To be fair, I (and supposedly many others) said the same thing about the forced B.Net login to play D3 or SC2.... and yet here we are ;-)
Now I'm very tempted to buy that duped Echoing Fury.
Must resist.
